This makes me both smile and tear up a bit to watch because I had a nearly identical car relationship with my dad before he passed away (he bought a 1987 Corvette brand new off the lot, adored that car) and I wanted more than anything to be able to buy HIM his dream car (just like you did) before it was too late. The fucking heart attack got him first which even now, 6 years later (he died at 54) still breaks my heart but watching you be able to bond with YOUR dad, Adam, allows me to imagine how it could’ve been. Your dad truly reminds me of my own in that he’s level headed even when he’s super excited and surprised by something so it’s eerie to watch because it’s almost like I’m experiencing it with my dad! Oddly enough my profile picture is the day of my father’s funeral (which I hope isn’t weird, I just like it because it has my wife, brother and best friends in it) so this really brings me back. Thank you for this video Adam.

I’ve wanted to do something like this for my dad. He once had a 1974 Ford F-100 with a 460 BBF, Holley 4 barrel carb, & I think it was straight piped as well. He has this one story where my grandma needed to go somewhere but his truck was in the way, so she got in, put it in reverse, and she wasn’t used to the power, and almost crashed it while backing it up. She later went to my dad & was like “YOU’RE SELLIN’ THAT THING RIGHT NOW!” I want to give him a fully restored 1974 F100 with a big block & everything just like the one he had.

i know exactly how those 14 hour drives from south carolina to connecticut and vise versa feels. I lived in connecticut for my first 14 years, used to drive down here with my family to visit my grandparents. Then eventually moved down here when i turned 15.

My father passed away on July 4th. I am blessed to have been able to do some magical things for not only my father but my mother and brothers as well. When I was 24 I became very successful. Due to my success I have been able to buy my father his dream car, I bought my mother a home and my brothers matching Mercedes Benz. The best thing you can do we monetary success is to share it with the ones you love. I'd give it all back just to see my father and little brother for one minute! Enjoy making beautiful meals with your pop !
