Please please, toss the walker. In my country the pediatricians forbid them. They also said that kids are ready to use these kind of jumpers or swings when they are older than 6 months. Don’t want to be rude. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Agreed with the others. Don't use that walker. It actually positions them in unnatural ways, causing delays with motor skills. It also positions them up higher so they are able to reach things they otherwise wouldn't be able to, leading to injuries. If you want a walker, there are push walkers that don't harm children.
My son was great with this walker. By 6months he was in it and by 8 month running in it. Yes he reached for items but we moved them.. his gait (walking) is perfect. At 22months now he runs while kicking a soccer ball. This walker is excellent 👌
@@angelica.86 There are literally medical studies done on the dangers of these types of walkers and my son's pediatrician office actually recommends against them. Your reasoning is the same as boomers saying "Back in my day we drove cars that didn't have seat beats and air bags and I turned out fine." Meanwhile, the studies say otherwise.
@@angelica.86 also thought you would like to know that the American Academy of Pediatrics is against these types of walkers. Oh, and they are banned in Canada.
He's not obsessed with the baby growing up. He's just excited to grow with her. He really loves his baby. That's it. What a weird thing to say. And the fact that so many people agreed.... ugh. Humanity is doomed.
He’s excited he has a baby. There’s difference. And he’s a first time dad. He’s going to want to do everything bc it’s all new to him AND his baby. He’s a good man. Y’all make too many unnecessary comments on this man that’s just taking care of his girls and loving them good.
Hey, not trying to be mean but as mum of 2 and nurse I beg you to please reconsider the Walker. Walkers are postponing development of walk and Can cause serious hip ,spinal and posture problems. Not mentioning a lot of head injuries and accidents on these . Its pretty easy to Flip , Can roll Down them stairs and Etc. There are even multiple countries which banned selling or highly don't recommend these types of walkers cuz of that. Please read some articles and reconsider 🙏
@@yellaineshine7260 and no one ask you to be offensive towards others with different opinion, knowledge and experience. I Politely ask them to just think about It I didnt force them to anything yet you come here rudely attacking me just for saying my opinion.
@@Smiling-1982Lucky for you but a lot of other people can't say that. Check for example data about head injuries every single year on these. Its each parents Choice if they want to use them or not but they should reconsider the potentional danger. Nothing more
In Europe it is mostly prohibited as it might cause serious injuries depending on the usage and time spent in it. The most important thing: you have to wait for the hip to be strong enough so it can safely hold her weight. Please do ask your healthcare provider and read some research which were made independently from the manufacturer.
Super cute ... I do want to mention that if you put your baby in those they can cause back problems for them and babies feet can swell up because their feet hang and have no support. I'm just putting it out their because you guys are first time parents. But you can also talk to your pediatrician for your guys comfort.
They are not meant to hang in the air. They are meant to still touch the ground. They use their feet to bounce. Bloody hell. These things were used for decades. No issues with kids, not even my own. Use them correctly. And do not leave them in them for extended periods of time. These things are not so parents can be lazy. Are not babysitters like televisions, ipads etc.
@@AS-by4px yes mine also and a peds special care nurse for critically ill babies and kids. And we had No problem with the jumper. But again you don't leave them in it all day. It's not a babysitter!!!!!
In my country, pediatricians strongly recommend not using walkers or bouncers. There are several reasons: it can delay motor development, can be bad for the hips and spine, there is a high risk of accidents etc. Apart from that, your baby is way too young for both. If you still want to use them, then you shouldn't use them before the baby can sit independently and attempts to stand up and walk.
In Canada as well, walkers have been banned (you’re not able to see them being sold in stores). There are similar products though but just don’t have wheels on them.
How come all these parents saying "just do whatever you want to do". Omg no, it isn't your life you're currently developing. It's other people's, it isn't bad to seek more information on an up to date researches about what is bad and what is not. What is still okay and what has a long term side effect. It's a parents job to give the best to your child to support the development of them
@@AsAnnoyingAsYouCanGetsure, they can. But there will be consequences for them, their finances, their childs health, their standing with their fans, and their relationship with their daughter in the future...
Guys, please don't use a walker. It's dangerous, most severe accidents that happen with babies are due to a walker. Plus it doesn't help the baby walk faster, it even slows the process.
I am one of the fortunate ones who survived a very close call by tumbling down a full flight of stairs in my walker to a concrete basement floor. The door hadn’t fully clicked shut and my little fingers got it open.
I had one of these for my son and it in fact did make him start walking faster. Put baby gates up and watch you’re kids when their in them and you can easily avoid them hurting themselves.
You need to lower the bouncer so her feet can touch the ground. Also try not to put her in the walker too much. They can be dangerous as it gives them the ability to get around really quickly and also touch things that they usually wouldn't be able to reach. Also try not to put her in it until her feet can touch the floor flatly as it can lead to hip issues. (No one come at me for giving advice that they most likely aren't aware of, just trying to help) if I hadn't have found out this information before I had my kids I probably would have done the opposite too. I'm not saying not to use them but if they see this they will know not to use them for long or as a "babysitter" because they're far from them.
I am so glad somone mentioned this because almost no one ever researches this stuff before buying. The " if it's legal to sell its safe" mentality is resulting in so many babies with issues down the line
@SL-gz3dy theyre awful. I watched a baby in China roll out of the house, down a small set of steps and down the street before his grandmother even noticed he was gone! I dont think theyre bad if you sitting there watching them but defending not to put in and walk away.
They might seem cool gifts, but as others mentioned, they (especially walker) might not be good for Addie's development! If you need to, use them only for limited amount of time
@monika-1315 I agree with you even my son's nurses and doctor tells me to never get my a walker it has something to do with their legs or something. And yeah I agree with you too she's too small for the walker lol
I thought walkers were banned due to the risk of injury? Maybe that’s only up here in Canada but I remember when my kids were small we couldn’t find them anywhere and I found out they were recalled due to safety issues. **note I think you are amazing parents and doing a great job with your baby girl just curious if things have changed and to share my experience and knowledge that was shared with me back when i was raising my boys
I once had an argument with an aunt about why these are illegal here. She didn't understand why, then proceeded to tell me how when her baby fell down the stairs in her walker; she was fine bc boots at.the base.of the steps caught her and she didn't get hurt. 😮 Legit, face palm moment.
I would talk to your pediatrician and see if they recommend to use either of those. My daughter is a week behind yours and at our last visit the doctor advised us not to use this type of stuff. Just to support her standing up and hold off on jumping altogether. Wishing you guys the best, your a very sweet family ❤
The baby will learn to move and before you blink she will be literally jumping up and down and will loveeee that jumper!!!!!!!! All kids grow into them and loveeee it!!
As a mom of five and just someone who listens to their pediatrician definitely wouldn’t use that walker. It’ll prolong your baby actually walking ….. def would toss it but the jumper 10/10
I got told that too bye our health visitor glad I didn't use this time round as my daughter walking she 12-13 months old where my 2 child I use that she didn't actually start walking till she was 15-16 months old
@rawanhomsi5336 My man is constantly asking me about items for babies & I have to say "Wait let me do some research first," he's always surprised when I come out with information like "Yeah sorry no it's not good for babies". All he can wonder is how non-safe items are allowed to be sold.
It’s too short, babies feet must touch the ground. Doctors recommend 6 months or it can do damage to their legs. Once she has ground a little more, you could use a pillow to fill the gap or a hard small box, but rn that isn’t the right fit.
These are so awful, they could even cause delays. They are banned in Canada because of the risks, idk about this family but the fact that it’s banned in a whole country is enough for me
Again .. a walker is not meant to be a day long babysitter. Just watch baby and don't leave them for hrsssss. Just let them try it for a while and get a chance to walk around for a while
The bouncer is the best. All my 4 kids loved it. None of them had a walker, not in a house with so many stairs, but they also had a saucer and loved that.
@@carlajohannessen this is their first time being parents so ofc they are not going to know what is good for the baby you have to children so you have experience they don't
@@valerieswiftie13then i would call child services on you. If you really think cuteness is more important then the development of your babies body.... you should not be parent.
What are you'll doing? Look to each its own but I have raised and help raise like 15 kids(Ages 38 thur 2 they are fine medical problems and alot of them have kids now and yes i have them in walkers too). And none of them ever got hurt or didn't ever flip over or they run into any and hit their head. YOU HAVE TO ACTUALLY WATCH THE CHILD. Kids can get hurt with any/everything. Especially if they are left unsupervised. Stop letting kids do whatever people you are the parents. PARENT! 🤦🏾♀️SMH
Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should. Walkers are proven to be of no use to a baby, only for the parents because it’s convenient, and if none of the above was an issue she’s way too young! Her feet can’t touch the ground 🙄
Claims that a walker helps baby to walk faster. However, the opposite is true: using a walker can delay independent walking. That's because learning to walk isn't so much about learning to use your legs. It's more about learning to pull to stand and then balance and take steps without support. When babies are plopped into walkers, they don't learn any of that. This is what the board of pediatrics says. So all you folks foaming at the mouth because your kid used them and so on they shouldn’t have. And before you come running at me first post your where you received your medical degree or yours is just an opinion and not the facts.
Absolutely love Mal's reaction to seeing her precious girl in her walker and door swing. Only advice i can give from personal experience about the swing is always be right by baby's side as the swing can fall down when baby is in it swinging/bouncing. This happened to my little girl when she was in a door swing and thankfully she wasnt hurt and was just a big shock for her but i would hate anything to happen to your precious girl. Also i know so many people have gave you so much advice on do this and dont do that etc but you are her parents and you do what feels right for yous and your baby. Hope yous are all ok x
You guys are amazing and I love following you! Please be careful with the bouncing one! It can damage their little joints! I am not trying to hate just do some research! I won't let my 6 month old baby use one!
You should know, that Walkers are Dangerous Andi absolutely Not helpful for development of Balance And everything Else. In Some countrys These Walkers are forbidden.
Love yall ♡ But just reiterating other comments that the walker and bouncer are both unhealthy for hip and walking development. Both are also not recommended by most pediatricians due to high risk of head and spine injury from fall/bouncing out.
Please don’t take advice from internet doctors in the comments here. Please only consult your pediatrician. If it’s time for food, food it is. If it’s time for walkers, go ahead. You do what the doctors tell you, read on a lot on medical approved research for what you still aren’t sure, and be happy. Please don’t read all these comments and think you’re failing as long as you’re following her doctors instructions, not just google. You’ll all be fine, she’s going to grow up strong and happy. Bless your family.
Some good advice I got from my lactation consultant in the hospital was to make a chore list and put it on your frig so when people come over and ask "how can I help" you can say theres a list on the frig feel free to pick something from the list (Cause not everyone enjoys doing the same things so they have options. Personally I hate doing dishs but I dont mind sweeping.)
Slow your rolls guys, savor the smaller moments. -from a dad of 4 ex babies, youngest now in 4th grade, 1 middle school and 2 highschool. Friendly reminder. 😊
I loved seeing my daughter jump in her Johnny jumper when she was a baby ❤ now shes a teenager doing flips on the trampoline ❤ enjoy this stage it will go so fast
Yall!! Let them LIVE!! Let them use the walker.. Millions of parents have used them and millions of kids are fine to this day.. Just let them parent how they want.
She is the cutest!! But I would suggest not doing the walker because it can lead to back and foot problems. When I was little I had one and I ended up walking on my tiptoes because part of my ankle hadn't grown properly. I almost got surgery to get it cut off but luckily I did physical therapy before it was too late
Its been like six months since I dont check this channel, and I am surprised by how fast she is growing, last time I saw her she was a 2 day old, I am do glad for ya'll ❤❤❤
I know you guys are excited as first time parents but she is NOT READY for the walker, her feet don’t even touch the ground. I would suggest a bouncer in about a month or two and THEN a walker. This is coming from a momma of 3 healthy babies. Please please be careful. You guys are wonderful parentS❤️
Used a walker with all 4 of my kids and they are all fantastic and there were zero issues. And NO it wasn't about convenience, it allowed them a little independence. Every person needs to make the choices they feel are best. Do what's best for you and its no ones business!
The American Academy of Pediatrics has declared baby walkers to be dangerous items. That's because, when using infant walkers, babies can roll along fast - even up to four feet per second. Even when supervised, babies can get into perilous situations before caregivers have time to reactThey also can fall over objects or down a flight of stairs. In fact, falling down stairs is one of the most common injuries from walkers. Babies who fall can suffer broken bones and serious head injuries. Research shows that walkers do not provide any advantage to a child's development.Babies don't learn to walk 4ft a second without a walker. They can't end up injured or dead before you have time to stand up if they aren't in a walker. Unless you WANT a dead baby don't use walkers. Ever.Walkers are a leading cause of injuries in infants and have caused approximately 52 infant deaths. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4942486/
I had my first (I’ve got 3) kid in a walker for months until he walked on his own. I just never realized it caused him to tiptoe. His physical therapist said the walker had caused his Achilles tendon to tighten and shorten, so it actually hurts him to walk flat footed. I regret the walker everyday. He turned 5, and still tiptoes unknowingly.
Loved our walker for my sons, when I was in the kitchen they would walk around, play with attached toys. This made my day way easier. And both my sons walked early, before they turned one😂❤️ in Sweden we use the walkers without it being a health issue like some trolls are commenting 🤣❤️😘 amazing gifts I would say 👏🏼😃😍
It’s not being trolls when looking out for developmental delays. I’m dealing with getting my 11 month old spun back up because of delays and it’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone.
@@Fart_face2023 when people feel the need to comment things that can make new parents feel like shit, then I consider that as trolls/idiots.
