We are a family of 5 living life in North Pole, Alaska! Where Santa Claus House is right down the street! We love spending time together as a family, having fun, learning through homeschooling, growing in our faith, and building our forever home! We hope you enjoy seeing are crazy life, full of lots of laughs, great memories and maybe a few tears..

My sister did this with both of her dogs. She hung their leash on a hook by the back door. When they had to go, they would shake it, the bell would ring and she knew it was time for a trip outside. They would get a treat....however.....they figured if they got a treat, they would ring the bell even if they didn't have to go. LOL!!

Nothing better to round out a family than a Dog. Castner is Adorable and love the name! The kids reactions were all precious. So glad Bert is still doing great with no bad allergic reaction. It's gonna be fun watching Castner grow up and all the tricks and obedience he will learn. He's one lucky dog!

My dog Mia passed last month. We had 12 yrs together, wonderful years. Animals give us unconditional love. She was funny, fully of live and never left my aside. I hope your puppy blesses your family with lot of love and joy,.

It will help for the sweet CASTOR at night to wrap a soft cloth or towel around alarm clock and lay it against him that should stop. His crying. Will soothe him, he'll think it's his mama's heartbeat. Castor is adorable!*

Love his name. He is precious. Just a fluffy teddy. Love him. Having had four puppies at once, the toilet training does get easier as their bladder gets bigger. I would take mine out shortly after eating and drinking and immediately after waking up or playing. Lots of praise when he goes to the bathroom and they soon get it. I have never used a crate or kennel, so can't help with that. Ours sleep on the bed lol. Dogs are the best. Our dog, Quinn, actually saved us by alerting us there was a fire in our garden. Best wishes for your new family member.

So cute. He's crying because he doesn't have, or know of his landing spot; a dog bed, an open crate. The house is just one big open space for him without his landing spot yet. :)

If you bathe him yourselves just put a little Downey in his final rinse water, that will definitely cut back on the allergies. Former groomer here, just a little side hack for Bert. It works.

Yes, crate training!!! Doggies, just like humans, need their own space. Our golden retriever whined all the time when she was a new puppy, but now, at 4, she absolutely loves her crate. It will get easier, I promise.

Omg this made me cry happy tears. I had to say goodbye to my dog last week. She went over the rainbow bridge .She was nearly 17 years old. Really miss her. 💕💕

I guessed wrong. I thought since everyone was already calling him "Buddy" and he was responding to it, that you would have named him that. LOL!! That's what I get for doing my own thinking. Nothing sweeter than seeing kids so happy!! I like when Evelyn said, "Wait! What about Dad's allergy?" So thoughtful to be concerned for her Dad's health. You have such a beautiful puppy and get ready to brush him a lot when he sheds his winter coat. More wonderful and happy memories to make and now with a new member to the family!!! Castner, you are going to continue to receive more love than you know what to do with, so be prepared.

If you still have the shirt they sent ahead of time, you can put that in his bed so it can help him from whining at night. It'll smell like his original home and family, it definitely helped when I brought my pup home.

Such a sweet reaction from the kids. I love him. He will be an awesome playmate for them. Congratulation to the whole family! Please get a large crate for him. He can sit in it when he's in the car or when you have to take him to the vet. As his home away from home. He look like a Nanook to me. Nanook mean "Bear" in Eskimo. Perfect for a puppy in Alaska.

He's a cutie!! I'm so jealous! lol! Groomers usually recommend taking in puppies as soon as possible to get them used to it. They usually just get a bath & dry the first few times, but it helps the pups have good manners and not be so afraid of the noises and such. Paw pad clipping is important so they have better traction on slippery floors!

Put a small treat or a small piece of treat in the kennel before you want him to enter it. He will start to look forward to it and will soon learn to enter his kennel willingly and easily. Try a bell tied around the doorknob or mounted low next to the door and when he rings the bell, let him out every time. Eventually he will learn to ring the bell when he has to go out.

Great name. Great Puppy.Word of advice. keep crate training him. That is that safest thing you can do for him. He will cry and bark but will get used to it. Good luck and congratulations.. Happy Life Castner. You have a great family to love you.

Try putting a blanket over the crate at night, it really helped my guy learn to sleep through the night when he was a puppy

Welcome aboard…what a special name. My family has had 2 doodle puppies. The first is a labradoodle *Tucker* and the second is a goldendoodle *Harper* They’re my brother and Sister-in-law’s dogs. You’ll grow a special bond with your pup, he’ll become your shadow. I suggest dancing with your shadow often, but don’t step on his paws. ❤️ Charlotte

None of my 12 spent time in a crate. But now they like it to hang out in. Traveling we always use crate. He is precious 💕 what a sweetie. I like the name. Very cute and it fits. 👍☺️🐶

It all started with a puppy for us too…..we’re now into this critter game: 1) Dog 25) Chickens 2) Cats And the more critters you take in, the easier it gets to care for them because like kiddos, you get on that roll and it becomes second nature. So my fix is just more animals! Always a win! He is ADORABLE!!!! Beautiful coloring😍
