I cured my mental illness after 25 years just by going to keto diet No more medication no more depression no more mood swing no more panic attacks And lost 40 pounds I wanted to test I started carbohydrate and my mood started to swing and get depressed as soon as I quit again Within a week everything went back to normal I am perfectly fine now on keto diet If low carbohydrate was effective treatment for epileptic seizure medications I was taking Is prescribed for epileptic seizure and bipolar disorder When I say I do not have any more symptoms of mental illness I really mean it Because my friends and family tell me I'm a totally different person when I'm on low carb No symptoms whatsoever

This is the single best video I have ever seen regarding health, insulin resistance and how to best keep our bodies healthy! Wow!!!
@sethbrolsma516
@sethbrolsma516 2 года назад
Lower insulin resistance by lessening stress (in large part by getting more sleep) and four dietary tips: fewer carbs; prioritize high-quality protein (focus on animal protein, whey, egg whites); fill all remaining calories with fat (fat has no effect on insulin; focus on animal fat and fruit fats i.e. coconut, avocado, olives vis-a-vis oils...avoid soybean, cottonseed, canola oil); time-restricted eating/intermittent fasting. Also working your muscles stimulates an insulin-like effect of pulling glucose into the muscle despite insulin resistance. Do not finish working out by loading up on carbs because it will undo the benefit of the muscles synthesizing insulin on their own.

0:00: 📚 Fat cells are not just inert energy storage depots, but also endocrine organs that secrete hormones and play a role in various bodily functions. 8:51: 📝 The traditional advice of eating less and exercising more for weight loss is flawed because it focuses on calorie restriction and can lead to increased hunger and rebound weight gain. Instead, the endocrine component, specifically insulin levels, should be prioritized to manipulate fat cell growth and shrinkage. 17:16: 💡 Insulin is a hormone that lowers blood glucose levels by allowing glucose to enter cells, but it also has an anabolic effect on all cells in the body, which can lead to insulin resistance. 27:34: 📈 Insulin resistance is a widespread health disorder caused by constantly elevated insulin levels, which is often overlooked due to the focus on glucose control. 33:16: 🔑 Insulin resistance is a survival mechanism in the body, but it can lead to various negative effects such as migraines, infertility, and increased risk of Alzheimer's disease. 41:51: 💡 Insulin resistance occurs when fat cells become insulin resistant, leading to the release of pro-inflammatory proteins and the spread of insulin resistance to other tissues in the body. 51:04: 📊 Insulin resistance can be determined through blood measurements such as fasting insulin levels and the ratio of triglycerides to HDL cholesterol. 1:03:08: 🥦 Lower insulin by controlling carbohydrates and prioritizing animal protein, while also focusing on improving sleep habits to lower stress levels. 1:06:25: ✅ To improve insulin resistance: lower stress, prioritize protein, fill remaining calories with fat, and practice intermittent fasting. 1:14:16: 💡 Wearing continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) can empower individuals to make their own dietary changes based on real-time glucose level feedback. 1:21:51: 🥤 The speaker discusses the digestion of protein and the potential impact of whey shakes on weight sensitivity. This was so helpful and inspirational to me. I am dealing with breast cancer for the second time. I am 59 years old and have gained a huge amount of weight due to stress and not taking care of myself through stressful times. I don’t sleep. You have helped me see the relationship between insulin and sleep and cancer and fat. I have some hope that I can reverse what is happening.I eat mostly low-carb but I used to be better at it. I have a renewed commitment to a keto lifestyle. When things get tough around me and my family members, my diet and ability to sleep are the first things that suffer. And I will be buying your book with enthusiasm and sharing it!

Stephanie Loder, please look into Floressence Tea, the book used, on Amazon is The Essiac Report.....Canada. I turned my friend onto it for her stage 4 breast cancer. (Sorry we can't treat you anymore, it is causing more harm than good). Before 2016 it took 3 months or 4 boxes, do NOT use distilled water from plastic bottles. My friend lost insomnia at day 15, same as everyone. She showed her Oncologist on day 30ish, and he swore at her, threw the box, and forbid its use. She kept using, we used it full strength cold instead of hot. At arround 3.5 months he kept calling her back for new blood work, CAT SCAN , and tests she couldn't name, because the cancer showed up missing. She was cancer free 7 years then got it again and died. Success is 5 years for western medicine. Everone who survived 20 years repeats the tea the same 3 months yearly, but not 12 months yearly for kidney rest. Ps . Bladder, Prostate and Kidney cancers need 4 months minimum. Also 6 weeks use befor surgery will reverse ganglions into a perfect blob for easy removal, on many subjects. See letters in back of book. Yes it crosses the blood brain barrier to help tumors there. Actually it never cures cancer it only removes poison like pesticides and heavy metals, then T-cells begin to be perfect and they kill cancer and viruses like they are supposed to. Note: do full research on GMOs to kick all out of your diet today, and GMO canola is hidden 34% in all oil from Mafia. Try all oil from Trader Joe's , and the California oil with blue butterfly 🦋 is good. This may lose a few diseases for you. The Costco olive oil with blue butterfly is a lie. Soy lethecin is GMO and your deathly enemy, all Trader Joe is GMOfree, use the pound plus bars for chocolate now because the soy lethecin is God made not GMO, so is perfect. I'm finding Doctors trained to say " oh, YOUR kind of cancer can't be treated with that tea, for the ones who do know about it. Have friends who died from this.

Please dont give up on yourself. Xx also youtube had a page called popsugar which have mild fitness programs you can do sitting down. Another tip: when in fasting mode if it gets difficult. @wayne12693 3 года назад
KELLI, That research sounds interesting. Years ago I had to do a thesis for my Master's degree, and remember how much work that was. If you're researching something that you're intersted in, like you seem to be doing, I could see where it could actually be fun. Speaking of insulin resistance, my ederly Mother has been type 2 diabetic for most of her life, and she is now totally off her insulin. After learning that insulin resistance could be caused by deficiencies in vanadium and chromium, I convinced her to give it a try, and it worked. She no longer takes insulin injections and her fasting glucose is normal, with her A1C around 5. She also eats high carb starchy foods and sugary things. She has never used a low carb or keto diet to control her glood sugar. I read that in the early 1900's before they had insulin, doctors were using these 2 trace minerals to treat T2 diabetes. As you know, insulin and diabetic pills are a billion dollar industry, so big pharma apparently suppressed this cure long ago. I think you are onto something with that insulin resistance connection to auto immune disorders. My mother has had Rheumatoid arthritis for years and since the vanadium and chromium has reversed her insulin resistance, the arthitis seems to have diappeared. She has also had a high uric acid and gout flares, which I recently learned is common in T2 diabetics. She hasn't had a gout flare since reversing her insulin resistance. Anyway, that research you are doing sounds interesting and you are obviously a very intelligent woman. I'd like to buy your book if you ever write one. Have you ever thought about writing a book?

This was such an informative podcast. I really appreciate the knowledge that was shared. I have been keto for almost 2 years and I incorporated alternate day fasting with it over the past year. I lost 25 lbs in the first 3 months of adding alternate day fasting but then I started switching things up and testing playing around with my carb intake and the next thing you know, I gained the 25 back. This discussion was really what I needed to hear to encourage me to continue with what works; a keto diet with fasting. I actually prefer Ketovore more because I have discovered that some veggies hurt my stomach and give me IBS. So I can tolerate a very small veggie intake. But I mostly eat fats and proteins.

Keto diet is pretty stupid tbh. And this coming from someone who did keto for months, I also did a 24 and a 28 day water only fast. You lost those 25lbs because one's body needs less water to process carbs. It's pretty simple. Eat a balanced diet slightly below your maintenance calories(approximately),sleep 8 hours, and eat food in this order to lower glucose and insuline spikes: fibers, proteins and fats, and lastly carbs. Try to get the recommended protein portion and that should help you keep hunger and cravings in check. Keto is not a sustainable diet. You should have bloodwork done but your liver and kidneys are under pressure with that diet.

The carb debates rage but the one thing that can’t be denied no matter ones opinion is that there is no physiologic need to consume carbohydrate. I’ve been eating no more than 30g / day (never from added sugar) since the 90’s. My only carb sources are a small amount of a few low toxic veggies and a few fruits (squashes and berries), sometimes whole milk or yogurt. Almost everyone I know is overweight and they make fun of my diet. I get eye rolls and sighs when I decline carbs or ask for substitutions.

A similar thing is happening with this low carb/keto thing. Atkins started it years ago, and alot of doctors are on YT acting as if they discovered all of this stuff. Atkins said years ago to limit your protein while eating low carb, because too much would spike the insulin, so his diet was really keto. I think alot of these doctors saw how much Atkins made from selling books, and they're getting on the bandwagon. They're acting like they invented the wheel LOL. Her fasting blood glucose and A1C were always normal even though she ate a lot of candy and carbs. Actually, that was her primary diet. Because her those labs were normal, her insulin levels were never checked. Maybe she really was insulin resistant but not to the point of elevated glucose, nonetheless causing inflammatory disease processes. I'll never know for sure, but it makes me wonder if she did have 'type 3' diabetes.

Just eat like the gorillas do, 65% greens and add as many type of leaves as possible, eat fruits and vegetables and nuts( Omega 3's) eat low protein diets! , eat your herbs which you need. Gorillas have low stress lives so I agree with most of what is said here.
@MsTeaAndCrump3ts
@MsTeaAndCrump3ts 3 года назад
@@stevemashford3700 Aren't we genetically closer to chimps than Gorillas? Plus our guts aren't long enough to break down so much plant matter and get all the nutrients out that we need. We aren't cows. If you look at the way our chest cavity is built and how our guts are positioned, we are made for meat processing more than plant processing. We need protein and fats. Carbs ( via plants and fruits ) can be supplemented by the diet or made by the liver. They are nonessential to be eaten directly. They are treats. Plus plants have lots of antinutrients because they don't wanna be eaten haha so they shouldn't make up the majority of one's diet. Moderate protein is better with higher fat content and low carb for longevity. Toss a human into the wild without modern conveniences and medicine, they probably won't be looking for a salad. Thanks for your response though! ^_^
@stevemashford3700
@stevemashford3700 3 года назад
@@MsTeaAndCrump3ts Sorry, chimps also closer to us in chronological time the Gorillas are most genetically like us. All the best nutritionalists are now saying eat more greens and vary them widely, eat low g i carbohydrates in the way of fruit and vegetables and nuts for Omega 3's. Of course protein is still out to lunch but I believe 1 to 2 grams of true protein per kilogram of LEAN body mass is required. Omegas feed your brain and cell walls, proteins for growth and repairs, carbohydrates are for fuel . Protein and good fats are also fuel however slower and harder to digest. If you want more I could call you anywhere in the world. These diet requirements are in the bible actually. Steve

@@stevemashford3700 Ahh I see what you are saying, I think we agree on most things. I think the push for varied greens has to do with the new research coming out about the gut microbiome and varied sources to feed said bugs haha. I misunderstood when you said low protein, thought you were inferring that we should eat 0.5g/kg of lean body mass or something like that. 1g/kg is very fair, I dare as 2g a bit much BUT if it fits your lifestyle, it makes sense.

lower insulin: low carb, lower stress: sleep! 1-eliminate processed food and sugars, low carb only from real fruit and veg. No juices. 2. animal protein ONLY: whey/Meat/eggs -best proteins come with fat. 3 Fats: olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil. 3 OMAD/time restricted eating. (coffee, tea and water the rest of the time zero calorie)

This video 👏🏻👏🏻 Ben Bikman is so right about testing for insulin at 50:41. I asked my doctor yesterday to add fasting insulin to my upcoming lab work. She told me no. And that she would instead watch my A1C every 6 months, and if she noticed it was going up I would then be placed on Metformin. It's been 4.9 to 5.0 for years, yet I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes during my 1st trimester of pregnancy last year. So I know there is or was something going on with IR. Our current system is so behind. Wake up!

Your doctor has some kind of nerve. I asked my doctor about an insulin test some years ago, but he said it was not offered through the lab he used. So, I found a lab that would do the test and had it done on my own. It was extremely revealing. I am diabetic. I do not recall exactly what my A1C was, but I think it was about 7. However, my insulin after 18 hours of fasting was 33. Suddenly, everything became crystal clear, including and most especially my failure to lose weight on a low-carb diet in several attempts over the years. I had tried low carb, calorie counting, and intermittent fasting over the years, but I had not tried low carb _and_ intermittent fasting together.
