I met ‪@mountaintrekker‬ & ‪@NomadShubham‬ in Tajikistan. In this episode, a beautiful Tajik girl showed me the city of Khujand Tajikstan. This was my first day in Tajikistan Khujand. Tajikistan country is in central Asia is a cheap country to travel from India. I stayed in Tajikistan for 50 days and loved the country. I also met ‪@TravelingDesi‬ in Canada. ‪@NomadicIndian‬ in Afghansitan . I also got a marriage proposal in Tajikistan.

The QANUN instrument is an IRANIAN instrument. It is a little different from the SANTOOR . In fact, QANUN is the santoor that part of it has been removed.

Interesting that Qanun, Cannon (Artillery), Canon (Law), Qanoon(Law) all share similar root meaning-- 'Rule' or a straight rod.

Though not identically same but we, Indians too have a similar instrument called, "Santoor". Santoor is native to the Kashmiri school of music. Pt. Shivprasad Sharma is a maestro of the same who featured in many of our childhood nostalgia, "Miley sur mera tumhara".
