Lokelani’s message at the end often speaks to me. Yesterday I was telling God that I can’t see 2 inches ahead of me when it comes to my future. I don’t know what’s gonna happen And I don’t know what to hope for in this life. It’s so scary cuz it’s the first time in my life that it’s like this. So I’m surrendering it all.

I’m a twin mother in nursing school. Today, I found out I failed my final by two points after spending countless hours studying, fasting, praying, and making it on time to clinical. My entire soul mission and plan to purchase a home for my daughters has been delayed. Surrender in my life looks like facing my fear of failure head on. The worst part is as though I feel as if I’m failing my girls. Studying has consumed so much of my time. I’m second guessing the career field I chose to pursue. I am trusting God to hold my hand during this process and break this generational curse off my life. Thank you for your encouragement.
Don’t give up! God will surely sustain you! Everything happens for a reason! Perhaps God wants to purge you of your fear of failure through this very experience, by helping you overcome it AND pass that exam! That would be a double blessing. When Lokelani spoke about how one of her first acts of surrender was breaking up with her non-Christian boyfriend, I felt like the Lord was really calling me out. I really like this boy who isn't Christian and I've been finding it difficult not to engage him romantically. Hearing how Lokelani gave that up and then seeing where she is now gives me so much hope for myself. Hearing her story has encouraged me and reminded me of the goodness of God. I am going to surrender my desire for this boy and the desire to be in a relationship and "be willing to be lead."
As a teenage girl, finding good people to hang around can be hard and I have this group of friends and by no means are they bad people, they just aren't for me. "To hand back with someone who wasn't called in the same way. would've been disobedience." Thank for this Alex and thank you God for your good and perfect timing. God has told me many times to step away and I've been too stubborn.
Surrender to me, is letting go of what I thought was a good life, and giving my life to God and allowing Him to guide me through His will. “A man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps”. Surrender in my life looks like giving up my pride and insecurities, my worries about school and definitely my fear of wrong things like people. I find that when I surrender more and submit to God, there’s more peace and joy knowing that He is taking care of me and wants the best for me, and that’s why He wants us to surrender.

Surrender for me was when God had to break up a relationship of 7years because I was not dependent upon Him anymore. God had to show me that I needed to be freed from myself and from idolizing the relationship i was in. The only way was to surrender to Him.

Surrendering to God is me giving up control over everything. I am constantly trying to control everything like who does what in the student council or what my siblings can and can’t do. Surrender in my life means that whatever I do it is just secondary thing that should bring glory to God. Thinking about how to bring glory to God... That's very accurate description of how my surrender feels like. If I'm learning guitar, I remind myself that I'm not learning guitar so that others would praise me how good I know to play guitar but because I want to play for God's glory... Not playing videogames and letting my thoughts surrender to the Word of God are another examples. It's like a child that always looks up to father asking "Daddy, what should I do now?" I was always like that as a child, if I was with my dad and somebody asked me something, I looked on my dad being like "What should I say??" And dad was like "Why you looking at me?" 😂

Jesus loves you. He paid for the sins of every humans so that we can eternal life in Him. If you simply repent and believe what He did for your sins, He promises you won't perish and you have everlasting life. I know is not easy but trust me I being there too and I’m happy that I found God, I tell u this because I love u and I want you to be saved. May God bless you and show you his grace
Wow. SO thankful for this message! It seems like every time I need guidance this podcast is a vessel used by the Lord to speak! Lokalani you took the words right out of my mouth. I get anxious about whats next, or what the future will look like for me. However this message but my soul at ease for I know God will provide exactly what I need.
I’ve heard someone say that the word “surrender” isn’t in the Bible, but the word “yield” is. The only one we need to surrender to is ourselves, our own understanding, our pride and so on and to yield to God, his ways so that we may not get in our own way.
Surrender in my life looks like… having to give the want for owning my own home, which has been something I’ve been trying to save and do all the “right” things to accomplish that dream. It also has been to lay down my addiction with nicotine I was still struggling and hanging onto. But by surrendering these things it allows God to move in ways He wasn’t able to before through me.
Surrendering in my life looks like truly letting God be in control and being led by Him. Our God loves us dearly and He knows our future and so I want that to truly sink in and to trust fully that He is in control. Psalms 23:3 says " he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.". It is all for His Glory and for our good. It reminds me of the song that goes " I surrender all to you. Everything I give to you, withholding nothing." I want to follow Jesus ❤
I think surrendering is like, God your will doesn't match with me.But It's like agree or disagree we have to agree, to be willing to follow God's plan, will, and timing. And when you said in the end about God's plan is better than ours. His planned gonna turned out beautiful more than we can imagine
I had to surrender a friendship today. My friend was all for the world. Cussing, dirty jokes, social media, fornication,. I wasn’t for that. It hurt me, but we were unequally yoked. I was slowly being conformed like him. I pray that he gets saved one day, but i must keep walking the narrow path that leads to life, not the wide gate
Your not reading from the Bible and from your phone. I thought you still reading from the Bible itself made me smile. Everyone going to there 📱 for the word.
