For anyone wondering, Vichy became a capital because it was the closest to Paris, it was a hub for train transport that led to Paris, it had big hotels and it had a very good telephone connection for the time. It does not make much sense for the capital not to move back to Paris, but already makes more sense than Djibouti. If Vichy stayed the capital, it would have made a strange alternate history, as it probably would have grown a lot from it's new status, much like the other planned capital cities like Brazilia and Washington DC.
@@abokadohoi4 more like a rework. Like where do the "occupation costs" go to? Air? They should make it so it transfers factories to the germans, as well as other redesigns that i am too lazy to say.
@@Idoexist._. concessions to the Germans decisions reduces occupation costs and gives Germany production bonuses in planes. But it gets removed if you ask for your country back

Yeah French focus tree is really horrible. I know France wasn't in a good situation but still focus tree pretty sucks when you compare it with other fucked up beginning countries

Nice strategy, i did somethig similar with Yugoslavia, most people will try to fix it with the focus tree, but you can just ignite a civil war and all negative spirits just dissapear lol
Wouldnt tis e even stronger with Arms against Tyranny? Immediately sell the equipment of your whole army to spawn new factories or infastructure concentrated in the Vichy lands.
Vichy is genuinely OP. One of my Germany games was basically won by the AI Vichy because while I defeated the British Air Force, the Vichy Navy saved the italian navy and sank the British one. I turn around from setting up Barb, and the British home army is being routed by Vichy outside of London in June 1940
The 100 thousands men were exposed on the Weimar Republic by the 1919 treaty of Versailles army restrictions whereas Vichy France had around 150,000 thousands active know soldiers and 40,000 Moroccans
i followed these steps exactly several times until i got the same event outcomes twice for good measure, but when i click on "we must collaborate with the germans", it just makes me free france. this happened twice so it's not a fluke. any idea what's wrong? ironman + historical focuses + no mods
How did you get enough warscore to take states and the navy? Any war I do I can’t take states and the navy and most of the time the navy is too high warscore so I can only take less than half of it
Nah, I was able to fortify France and hold out, from there I could build my military and economy cause Germany was too scared to attempt to break through my lines
@@edwxx20001 Then build railways or something like that so that you can avoid building them later. Still better than just deleting everything. Some slight benefit is better than no benefit whatsoever.
@@whitehawk4099 can you delete equipment you have promised to sell? i haven't checked myself, but the whole point of deleting it is to weaken germany for later. if you can sell enough in small batches, and then delete the rest when germany gets to paris. i guess some extra railroads wouldn't hurt. still not quite sure how the capital got to djibouti. but that doesn't seem like a step 1 problem but a step 26 problem when you have already won.
@@edwxx20001 I think so, by cancelling the order and then deleting the equipment. Haven't tried it though. Djbouiti is an older issue. I think it has to do with being one of Vichy France's starting states. It has been a problem since the game was released, so I doubt it will ever be resolved. It could be fixed extremely easily though.
Bit of an odd move to destroy everything. Could have lend-leased it to UK or to republican spain. Edit: Never mind after watching the video that was a 150 IQ move
Can't do that since Free France is considered the original France and Vichy is a brand new tag. Which means you don't inherit any outgoing lend leases. But yes that works in pretty much every other situation
