Looking forward to watching next season. Hopefully between now and then you can find 1 or 2 blokes who are willing to bat some genuine time and build an innings that others can rely on and bat around them accordingly. Regan needs to be one of them.

Unlucky lads. Overall a good start playing at this higher level. Agree with some of the other comments that you need a middle order limpet to anchor the batting. Fifty overs is a long time and batting those overs out would make a big difference.

@@MaxYourWildSide l used to bat very much like you and was determined not to get out. It is amazing how important you can be to a good team if they know you never give your wicket easily. It was a good nut you got. Only 5 months till nets😁

If an opening bat comes out swinging from ball one then we used to bowl quicker and at the body. You miss and I hit. They didn't last long. Don't mind openers playing decent shots but swinging just isn't cricket old chap.

Why would it matter whether or not the opening batsman came out swinging or not? Any bowler with the pace to effectively bowl short would be using the tactic regardless.
