Survey: I heat with wood, but at what cost 

A third of French people have difficulty paying their energy bills, and heating is the item of household expenditure that has increased the most in ten years (Source: 60 million consumers-Oct 2013). One type of heating is doing well and could significantly reduce your bill: wood! It is the oldest way of heating and it is now becoming fashionable again. Today 7.4 million households use this fuel for heating. Even though from one region to another the prices of logs vary, wood is at least 5 times cheaper than electricity! Renewable and non-polluting raw material, it is also the most ecological heating method. But beware of scams on the internet, you have to choose your wood carefully before burning it.
