Please check out my new book Free Range Survival Chickens. I do not believe there is a more comprehensive book on successful free ranging of chickens available:a.co/d/i4dKQlz
Florida is still the leading source of feeder calves sent to the western states. We always had gentle braman cows, we kept them gentle by teaching them to eat range cubes out of our hands. All our palmettos had the points chewed off. That's the difference between a braman cow that eats rough and the English breeds.
be sure to give those Palmetto plenty of time to recover. I've seen cows kill saw Palmetto where they were not allowed to recover. I think cows were also used to clear out palmettos by over stocking cows on them.
Thank you so much for making this video! Would love to keep seeing updates on them occasionally. Hope you and your family are well. Wish you and yours good health and many blessings.
Damn is it Christmas two bull frog updates in one day is it Christmas. Also just wanted to add love your mini cattle really is a great idea for limited land and survival situations
Very interesting. I have Dexter which are small but I don't believe are considered mini. But they have been very good at browsing and are a dual purpose.
I'd love to know how her calf turned out. How are zebus for producing milk? We mostly want a mini jersey for the milk production, with meat being secondary.
Have you thought about mini Dexter cattle. They're a triple purpose meat, milk, and working cattle that originate from south Ireland. Like the zebu they thrive on poor grazing land. I heard they're fairly popular in Australia and Africa because of that. Might be worth trying a heifer in the mix. Also when's the next update?
Hi I am interested in survival chicken hatching eggs. I havent seen any from you on ebay lately. Do you plan to have any soon. Also, what is your opinion on Icelandic chickens. thank you
Eh somewhat like a deer, lots more milk than a deer though! So not getting into mini milk cows huh? Look into getting you a mini Hereford heifer. Those mini zefords are great. Grow faster than Hereford and definitely faster than zebu calves
