*I’ve read this woman’s book* and was surprised to hear she got lost on a journey through the alps for a TV show *with a horse and a cameraman* - - and the horse died so it was just her and her cameraman - she proceeded to cut open the cameraman and sleep in his stomach till rescue arrived.. true legend ✌🏼
3:51 HAHAHA! She was mentioning that, in the forest, you should go eat bugs or insects in a dire situation rather than going for human flesh, and the editor showed us this millipede clip. This particular millipede is called Harpaphe haydeniana or Yellow-spotted millipede and it produces cyanide! 🤣
Yes they do but in most species the amount of cyanide they produce is very little to really hurt you as long as you don't spend your day eating dozens of these. And when creepy crawlies are involved for your survival i would avise to stick to wood eating grubs and larvae found in dead trees first before moving to colorful things you cannot identify. Scorpions and spiders or grasshoppers and crickets are also a better choice. Always go for the camouflaged ones instead of the colorful ones.
First Time i'm early, but I believe it should've been explained to her that the Wahara (the guys the person playing killed) are actually Tribal people who are killing the native villagers of the area, and are generally hated by the indigenous community of the game because of their rampant massacres.
I actually learn alot from Kinga, She is very tallented in her knowlage of survival, This REALLY Shows how much a book (for example) can save your life
Idk first survival expert to mess up what a panther is (any big cat with a melanin defect that makes it appear all black) if its not all black its not a panther and even if it is its still not a panther as panther refers exclusively to the defect and isnt a breed of big cat
One thing I love about this game is that it’s the only game that follows realism in headshots. In other games the weapon/bullet doesn’t seem to go through someone’s skull until like three more tries 😂
Just a quick survival tip, if you want to drink coconut milk, it is recommended to drink the milk of a green coconut and not brown. The milk in a brown coconut actually dehydrates you
the annoying thing about green hell is that all of the plant life in the game is unknown no matter what you do unless you find the in-game page. you can't find them because there not in game, I only found the page for the blue mushroom in a hallucination. I just remembered what they look like and what they do
Honestly in the best case scenario having a survival expert who knows their stuff would come in mighty handy especially if a group of people got stranded on an island for a few months we would need people who knows what to do in various situations like what stuff is edible both raw and cooked and how to potentially domesticate and tame various animals or defend ourselves without having to kill anything wasting our equipment like making a strong sturdy wall that can't be broken down easily or making a secure strong residence we need all kinds of people who knows stuff about such things cause if I wound up on an island or the middle of nowhere my dumbass that's forgetful and easily distracted is going to get jumped and destroyed by God knows what and on top of that I'm lazy and unmotivated and squeamish about skinning and gutting things I once threw up by seeing my dad gut a deer so basically I'm super screwed on my own if I'm stranded somewhere
Boiling your underwear might be fine if you have pure cotton, like army undies from the time that survival book was written. But modern stretchy polyester-mix clothes probably gets destroyed by that kind of temperature.
Truth about the cotton...polyester blend would prob survive a boiling...might just shrink. Better than a poo stain I suppose. Ya know..from all those panther attacks.
One of the biggest things I had trouble with in my first few hours of playing Green Hell was getting lost. I didn't see the coordinate system on the map and the watch at first. I ended up wandering so far away from my base so often when I first played. On the plus side, discovering new landmarks and locations by accident made that a lot of fun, but getting lost and starving to death was....not. lol. Love this game and so glad that she is reacting to it.
She seems a wesalth of knowledge :) My gods though that motorbike in the background kept getting my attention! Looks like a beautiful piece of machinery!
Isnt pulling off leeches really risk prone? I watched a documentary on parasites and just leaving them be was the best option since they close and disinfect the wound they made, whereas pulling them off means they take a piece of flesh with them and leaves the wound injected with their natural blood thinner
Its better than the common misconceptions about burning or salting them with causes them to regurgitate and pretty much guarantees infection but yes every little wound has a chance of getting infected in the jungle (which is brought up in the tutorial but as far as in game mechanics leeches don't leave a wound)
She called a cougar/mountain lion a panther. The word panther stands for panthera. And if people say “what about a black panther.” It’s literally a black panther. Let’s say if a lion was fully black (it’s a part of the panthera) we’d also call it a black panther
I was thinking that she would be the person I would want with me in a survival situation until she said you can totally eat human flesh in a survival situation… I think I’ll take my chances by myself thanks
I think for a regular person in a survival situation, spears are the way to go. Sticks have been our friends since the dawn of time. Granted it probably wouldnt clear brush too well
I have to wonder if the popular fascination with extravagant "survival"-esque shelters stems from stories like the Swiss Family Robinson and Robinson Crusoe. As if the way to prove that you're thriving in a wild place is to build a huge home, complete with every amenity. I could be totally off-base, but I'm curious if anyone else had that thought.
I know she's reacting to survival video games, but now I kind of want her to comment on Primitive Technology - especially the various firestarting tools and examples of edible plants and how to recognize, farm, and cook them. edit: WAIT they DID use a clip of Primitive Technology!! Making mud bricks!! That makes me so happy! 😄
It's really great that you guys invited her again for Green hell...but did you really have to show the player hunting and killing an indigenous man, without showing context for it?
For those who don't have the context: The guy killed is part of the Wahara tribe, who the local indigenous peoples hate due to Wahara killing them... (and trying to kill the player too)
Why do you complain about absolutely everything? In the first Green Hell vid ppl complained because they only showed her the tutorial. So, they made a new video and people still find new things to complain about? Rlly?
@@theuniverselovesme1529 It's a pretty valid complaint dude. She specifically mentioned not killing indigenous tribesmen because of the knowledge they possess, yet the NPC killed in the beginning of this episode is actually the bad guy. She didn't know that, and that's why she made the comment in the first place. Also, it's pretty stupid to complain about someone's complaining.
I found it funny that she mentions the big cats really have it out for him, but doesn't know why he'd want to make some armor for himself. Armor will probably help a lot better than a backpack.
THE FOOTAGE OF THE CONTEMPLATING CANNIBAL HAS PEOPLE WALKING IN THE BACKGROUND BAHAHAHA 3:06 Definitely shot this outside the office. Another thing, note to the editor, stop with the arrows. It's insulting to the viewers intelligence and a cringe Facebook tactic. I like your videos, keep it up!
Here in Brazil, the Encounter with Jaguar or any Cats is so Rare, and be attacked by then is more rare than encounter then, but, once in your life you'll gonna se one of them
I'm playing this on vr and all I hear when I'm not playing is the thuds of the camen crocodile even when I play it and I'm not near any I can still hear them
1:25 Yeah, this is the annoying thing about these kinds of games. It's very easy to write centuries-old tropes about the natives out to get you, if you want an easy "antagonist" in your game, but not representative of real life at all.
If there are lots of leeches in the jungle and you "had to" choose between eating leeches or cannibalism, why not eat leeches? Seems like it'd be easier and less traumatic.
leeches offer very little carbohydrate or energy. It's a big risk eating a cocktail of strangers blood for very little payoff. eating human is more psychologically damaging, but much better for you physically.
Idc how good the area is, if I don’t have the ability to have instant food ready I’m 100% up for eating humans. Dead is dead. I’d be pissed if I died before someone I’m close to and they didn’t eat me. Free calories. No trauma required.
Unfortunately, rain water is not a viable source of water anymore. There are so many pollutants and toxic substances in the water and the air that it now stays in the water when it evaporates and the water that isn't polluted gets polluted via contamination in the clouds. In most circumstances it won't affect you immediately and likely won't even noticeably affect you for a few decades, so if you're in a dire survival situation it's better to have a shorter lifespan than to die right now, but it's still something to be concerned about and if you live in or near a major city you should not drink rain water for any reason.
Green Hell as a game takes place deep within the Amazon rainforest and the tribes you see in the game are uncontacted however in the story mode of the game you will see the main character establishing relations with the tribes after his partner went missing, also don't eat small creatures in the amazon because there is a reason something bigger didn't eat it and it's usually not because of lack of protein or other nutrients
Spoiler: Its actually revealed in the story that he contacted them prior to the story and that after suffering from people trying to contact them looking for a cure they are done with outsiders and now kill on sight.
I'm pretty sure those are Jaguars since it's the Amazon jungle. She seems very knowledgeable so it's weird that she keeps calling them Panthers. Anyway, this was an entertaining video.
!!!SPOILER WARNING!!! MC of this game lead to tribesmen death because he wanted to find cure for his girlfriend/wife sickness thats why tribe people attack him. After that he came back to the jungle to find that cure again.
“I do love that he has a spear.” …that is an obsidian knife. I get it these folks only have the footage to work with, but they need to PLAY the games before they comment on them. So much missing :(
I love a lot of the advice she is giving but the one that I would like to comment on is you WILL want to boil water that comes off of trees. especially in the rainforest because of all of the different rain forest levels lots of different animals crap all over the trees and you don’t really want to be drinking crap water.
Isnt it against the law to Tell poeple that human Flash is eatable i mean if some on snatches there friends while being lost in a national park for example she could get in trouble for that too or Am i wrong dont know us law that well
No it's a good thing to talk to yourself if you are isolated for a long time to keep your sanity but like she said if you don't have food or especially water it is better to conserve as much energy as you can.
Yeah it's not great murdering people but in Green Hell the indigenous people you meet are hostile from day 1 so it's a kill or be killed situation, Eating them is a different situation though.
"Now hes being attacked by a panther" no they arent panther is a jaguar or large cat with a melanin defect making then appear all black its not a type of animal its a defect in a type of animal
