Survival Fishing Challenge!! (No Lures/Bait)

With NO fishing lures/bait and only a rod, a knife, and one hook, I put myself in a Survival Scenario in which I have to catch fish using whatever natural bait I can scavenge in the forest and creek. A test to my outdoorsman and survival skills. The goal is to catch as many fish species as I can!
Again, I want to thank each and every one of you for the support! At the time of this upload we just passed 65,300! I'm having so much fun making these videos, lets keep this rolling!

I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.

BWD_V yes like an overnight camping/fishing catch and cook in the woods and film it all and catch bait and stuff and try to build a shelter and do a budget challenge for the whole overnight challenge like $25 for all the stuff he needs (rope, duct tape, and fishing stuff)

One time me and my friend in Europe (Ukraine if you were wondering) we did an actual survival fishing challenge and we found a long curvy stick, found line because other people were fishing and forgot some on the ground, found a hook, dug up worms, made our own rods and put the worms on and attached a little stick as the bobber, and caught like 20 fish ( mainly sunfish )

Catching crawdads aka crayfish bring me back to my childhood with my cousins. We caught crawdads using raw bacon and string, thread, fishing line... whatever. Once the crawdads clamped on they didn't let go. One thing I like most about your vids is that do not drag. Good stuff.... you got yourself another sub. ✌

My brother, crawfish only swim backwards. Just cup your hand on the bottom right behind them, they'll swing right into your hand. The soft one your thought was dead, wasn't, it has just finished molting why it was soft shelled. Crawfish are awesome bait, hope to see more vids using them more.

You caught a ton of sunfish bro thats what bass eat... I always use a sunfish as bait if I catch one cut it barely where it bleeds but still lives fora awhile xD get good bass and yes that was a slug, good bait lol. I think that one fish you didnt know of was a shad pretty sure.

I agree, I use bluegill and sunfish as well for bass/catfish bait. But his hook looked a bit small to use, also that little creek probably doesn't have a bass bigger than 1.5lb.

Crawdads/crayfish swim backwards so if you want to get them into a net or a bag you need to put it behind them and then spook them with a stick or your hand from the front. I grew up catching them and it's super easy once you get the hang of it. By hand you can slightly lift the rock and snatch them up while they're still against the rock where it's hard for them to swim(because they go backwards)

Nice video boss, my kinda challenge right here!!! Several times I've done this when I'm bait-less and the lures aren't taking. Cicadas are one of my favorites for bass, they float, cause lots of vibration and make some great noises. just make sure to hook em so they lay on their back so they don't drown to fast

I remember going to Mexico’s for like a month and going fishing but had no bait we would use grasshoppers as bait so when you cast your line the grasshopper would stay alive and would jump on top of the water to grab the fishes attention and catch fish Like The Video If This Helped You

You can catch more crawfish by using your fishing pole and worm. When you drop it down they will pinch it and lift up slowly

When catching crawfish it's best to ease your hand in the water then really quick grab them on the top of the shell and grab the claws as well. Been catching them for bait all my life

Craw dads will take a worm on a hook. That is how I grew up catching them or with trout guts. They jump backwards the move around if trying to net them. Pinch the pitchers off before putting the hook in them for better chance with bass

The one with the soft shell just molted. And the easiest way to catch them is to very slowly flip the rocks and put your hand in front of their face so they are paying attention to it and pull your other hand up behind it slowly and grab it’s mid body. I’ve caught upwards of 50 in an hour so I could take them home and boil them.

Good vid. Good to see your hooked on the good stuff anyway. Next survival challenge I think you should do is try making your own lures with what’s around you in the natural habitat. Those crawlers you found, here in the land of oz we call yabbies and they do get rid of there old shell and a new one appeares under the old shell soft and squishy and a few days later it hardens.

To catch cray fish you need to put a net/bag into the water Behind the crayfish and put you hand/a stick and nudge the crayfish from the front until he swims into the bag, they swim backwards

You can use the warm to catch the cuz they will hold it with their claws and then you can bring it towards you and used your bag as a net and now you kno how to use bait to catch more bait. And all crayfish are escape artist =D
