Glad to see it’s going in a survival game category. Those environments do not need to go to waste. Like seriously those dark areas with pillars everywhere? Fits way too well for a game like this

i love the idea of robot ecosystems from the start of the video up to here 0:24 really caught my attention at how things move so smoothly and animal like but knowing its made from small parts makes it crazy how fluid it is please keep up on the animations of this it makes things so beautiful to look at

I think as a programmer and game dev, what you're doing is beyond good. Like integrating procuderal animation, with crafting new vehicles and even like being able to share them is insane. Props to you man, i can't wait to play this game.

I've been watching you for what feels like years now. It's wonderful how far you've come.

It's amazing to see how far this project has come. I love the robotic insect designs that show up pretty frequently. Reminds me of a game I loved as a kid called Drone Tactics. Completely different gameplay (turn based tactics) but based around giant insect robots. Also, steam workshop integration for craft and module sharing would be amazing. Just saying.

wow, this looks so cool, i love the idea of the creatures adapting to the player like imagine if every run has different enemies for every player that would be so unique. :)

I love evolution simulation games, since you get a glimpse of how the process works in real life. Combined with procedural generation, the potential seems HUGE. Keep going! The game looks awesome!

I remember seeing devlog 0, and the game has definitely come quite the distance between the 2. This game looks really interesting, very few games even dive into the possibilities of procedurally generating anything, so seeing an entire game based around it, and in 3D, astonishes me. If the game feels too plain, maybe add something like a campaign, sorta like Rainworld does, in which it somehow makes a challenging game have a fetch quest, and do it extremely well. Maybe also allow for people to make their own maps, in a challenge mode way or in a sandbox way, as this can keep the community alive and almost always changing. Hope all goes well, and I can’t wait to see more from this, as many others probably are as well!

Honestly, i can imagine this game being used in school to teach about the component based aproach to design or something along those lines. Im super happy that you kept the complex nature and didnt decide to dumb it down, this game is going in a great direction!

As an old Robocraft veteran.. I am soo happy this game exists, really captures how Robocraft was when it still had that lightning in the bottle. Also you already know im going to build a drone :D

it would be super interesting to have a tug and pull relationship between the player and enemy, where by natural selection the enemy types that survive the best carry on their traits to the newly spawned enemies while the player themselves are upgrading their arsenal, and seeing who can out evolve the other

Ambitious, creative and technical - exactly my cup of tea!! wow! As for the npc adaption through evolution: If they mutate and evolve based on player actions, I predict it being a very slow progress, slower than whats going to be engaging.

Now i think about it, synthetic selection could probably allow for making playable characters from animations. Playing as YoYo from Hyun's Dojo could be incredible if made right. Imagine grappling to a creature, riding them or swinging them around, and also making the yoyo do explosions like when it slams something while the player toggles it to detonate when it stops suddenly. Yoyo physics also would feel very appropriate for this game's design. I wonder how creatures might "adapt" to such a fluid and versatile weapon/tool.
