I was afraid she would debut, she is really talented and has really good and stable vocals but her age is just so young. I hope her company doesn’t mistreat her and this is the decision she really wants.
Boo it doesn't matter if that's what she really wants. SHED A CHILD. She shouldn't debut I domt care how much she wants to debut she's still a middle schooler. 7TH GRADER!!!! wake up
That’s why I’m not even that mad about it. So long as they aren’t doing any crazy or mature concepts, which I doubt they will, because it doesn’t fit a majority of the members, she deserved to debut. Her skills were much more developed than most of the other contestants, and she has so much time to continuously improve. The only problems, besides fan-related issues, that she may encounter are those related to vocal changes due to puberty, but with proper training and healthy vocal usage, it shouldn’t pose to be too much of an issue.
People are already harassing and bullying the kids and teens on this show. I literally argued with this 25 year old grown woman because she was writing really nasty and rude hate comments about one of the 13 year old contestants 🤦♀️
Kaylee from Vcha, JYP’s new girl group also debuted on 14, while she took part in the survival show A2k when she was only 13. Debuting new teenagers might pressurise them- with their school works and idol image together, I hope these two will be able to Cope up! 😭🎀
It all comes down to how involved her parents are and what their motives are. Look at the parents of the Fifty Fifty group. They were the ones behind the greed and the inevitable down fall of the group.
Their baby teeth always make me cry, it's disturbing 😭😭😭 also people were hating on Hyeonju (22 y.o.) for being "too old" and not criticising the show for debuting a child. This is so concerning
@@_Sarah21_I think it's New Jeans. I don't follow their stuff so I don't know what events they do/have done but the members are pretty young so I wouldn't be surprised if it was New Jeans
Puberty is hard and all, but imagine having to do it as a Kpop idol, in one the most toxic industries with ruthless fans who will attack you for anything
im ngl im really curious as to how ipad kids will turn out when they grow up… the first generation to grow up in a world where technology runs everything (idk if late gen z counts)
I can already tell as she grows and her voice and body develops she will get soooo much hate for “losing her talent” and it breaks my heart. Let children be children!!!
@@prankdanny no way theyre debuting a full on CHILD that was freshly out of ELEMENTARY school in an industry like this... whats next, "oh we're waiting for the maknae to come out of the womb, i know for a fact their dance skills will make them a gem"
Do people go to school later in the philippines? I was 10, and most of the people in my grade were 11 when we all went into middle school. She should be in 7th grade, but again I'm speaking from an American perspective so I'm not sure if it's different over there. Still very disturbing. She most likely hasn't even had her period yet.
I mean i get that this girl is hella talented but couldn't they have waited like 6 more years before debuting her? I promise them she will get even more talented with more training and it gives her a chance to really consider if this is the career she wants to pursue
@@thelastsplash literally bro. They're so dramatic. As long as she gets protected by the company, then it's okay. It's her dream. And a 12 year old can have menstruation already.
@@honeybunnydeadchannel.4737She's not even at a consenting age LOL. Ask any good psychologist and they'd agree that this is not okay. Children should not be making these decisions. She is working in an exploitive service. End of story.
@@honeybunnydeadchannel.4737 my mom had her menstruation at 6 years old, very young. I had mine at 11. this girl may or not may have it, but she already can think about what she wants or not and if she is on the industry for years she has no doubt that wants to be a kpop idol, so I totally support her because she never gave up and now she did it. an example.
@@honeybunnydeadchannel.4737 what does menstruation have to do with this? Your capacity to procreate doesn’t give you any sort of maturity, and I don’t think it’s dramatic to say that she’s a child and that the industry is incredibly tough, it’s literally a fact
she's a super rare gem, so talented that it's a sin to let her go. but education and social life is important for her mental growth. i hope the company will be careful on raising her
As a 14 year old, I sincerely beg that no one hates, mocks and makes digusting sexualization of this young kid cuz I'm happy she achieved her dream but I hope all those hate that other idols get doesn't reach ger. Pls protect her 😭
this just shows that anyone under the age of 16 shouldn't be allowed to go to survival shows. the fact that thousands of people voted a 12 year old to debut just grosses me out
@@mathewg5884 The kpop industry is very toxic with extreme dieting, tight schedules, exploitative contacts, complete disregard for physical and mental health and that's only the tip of the iceberg. Thousands of people knew that and still voted for a 12 year old, who still lacks the emotional maturity to cope with all the pressure and stress. I can only hope that the group's concept won't be provocative and that the child's privacy and comfort is prioritised above all else.
I know Lim Seowon she is so talented. And that is the reason why people voted for her.She attended survival show with her own decision. If she didn't debut and someone who is not even talented like her debuted that would be unfair.
@@moonlightstay Her being talented is another issue. The main concern is that she is way too young. "Her own decision" isn't a valid argument. Would you trust a 12 year old kid to make a decision that would change their life forever? And it would not be unfair if she didn't debut. After all, a survival show is to find people who are the most suitable to debut and age is one of the factors as well. Seowon is young and has her whole life ahead of her, she would've made a name for herself even if she didn't debut from this crappy survival show
I don’t see any people hating on her, just hate towards the industry. I wish her the best but maybe the best would’ve been for her to wait a few years until her debut, I don’t judge her for taking the opportunity but she’s definitely too young for all the stress, training and other stuff she’ll have to deal with being an idol
They debuted her becuase of her talent! It doesn't matter how old she is! They debuted her becuase she is talented enough and also has more potential ❤
Yeah sad Ik…. But there is a difference between people at her age who are lazy af and don’t wanna do shit but sit on their phones and give the world their UNWANTED OPINIONS and the ones who actually wants to achieve their dreams and will work hard NO MATTER HOW OLD THEY ARE…. She’s already worked hard for so long for this and now that she’s finally achieved her dream people are trying to take that away from her 🤦🏽♀️
You know it is completely fine to just lay in your bed watch funny videos attend school because you are fricking 12 years old - that is normal, not 12 Yo debuting in harsh industry
The fact that companys are debuting minors, who are just DREAMING of becoming an Idol but little do they know what pressure they'll have IF they become one? And also I don't think it's JUST the companys fault because these children have PARENTS and it's the responsibility of their parents to make sure if their child IS actually mature enough to debut in such a young age!!!
I have been a fan of her since I saw her cover of after like and love dive on a Korean broadcasting show. She was great. Didn’t know she was that young
I watched the whole show and while she is incredibly talented i wish they wouldn't debut or let alone let someone so young even participate in the show😔... my youngest cousin is her age... she deserves to have a childhood... she could always debut a few years later and by then her talents would only improve... i can only hope she will be treated well now that she is debuting❤
i feel so bad fro the poor 22 year old. she's gonna have to take care of this tiny brat now, along with all the other pressures that come with being an idol.
I'm sure she absolutely deserves to debut, but there really should have been a minimum age requirement for the show. At 12, you know nothing about who you are, what you want, and how to advocate for yourself. It's an extremely tough industry, and she'll now have to spend the entirety of her formative years being scrutinized by viewers from all over the world. I completely understand her wanting to chase her dream, and good on her for all the work she's done to get here, but it gives me the ick, it really does.
1. she is more talented than half of the girls 2. This is a tempo group, it's contract only lasts for 2 years 3. She has been in this industry since a long time 4. She always wanted to be an idol 5. She's quite popular and is known as little Wonyoung but yeah still..
Yeah. It's weird but this video not explaining she's been on TV since she was like 8 and has a lot of experience in the industry is a bit misleading. They didn't pluck some minor off the street and debut her.
@@thelastsplash exactly, I even mentioned that point in my comment. Everyone wanted her to be an idol when she used to cover ive's songs but now they hate her
@@2iveiveI haven’t seen a single person really hating her.. she is just too young. Even if she has been working in the entertainment industry before, that’s still a prepubescent child. It’s disturbing. One year younger and she would have literally been a gen alpha kid. I’m sure that everyone wants her to have a bright career but just not now
It was her dream to debut and she worked hard in the svs and made it. Some people are bringing her down because of her age.. she turns 13 in a week and UNIS didnt debut yet
Did you guys also heard of the new group?? They are SpamBaby! The leader is SooYoung The main rapper is ToYoung The main dancer is SheYoung The main vocalist is HeYoung And much more! I heard they are getting more members and there is also WeYoung, but its position is unknown
haters... lmao. if you watch the show, you could see Seowon badly wants this. if you also watched her older videos, she really aspired to be an idol. i should say that let us be supportive of her dream.
While it might be her own choices, but if you blame the industry also hold the idols parents responsible as well. Let just hope she has a ton of support around her
Y'all need to boycott. The companies won't listen any other way and this is completely unacceptable. If grown women are getting exploited (economically, physically, psychologically, sexually) in this industry, she is even more at risk.
she’s incredibly talented and it makes so much sense that she debuted because of it… it really does shock me that her company would allow her to debut at that insanely early age though…
People forget that these kids are the ones who literally sign up for it..they know what they are getting themselves into it’s not like they are forced into it or anything💀
