Make it easier to start. Just dribble a little glycerin on a small pile of potassium permanganate. Stuff ignites almost instant. quickly add more tinder and it's good from there.

When i was camping and hiking i had a simple belly bag that contained water proof matches , emg water proof compressed rations, some pouches of water , bandages, Flare Gun, I always 😊 grabbed that my hiking staff and a cap, always had a knife in my pocket or on my belt, Thankfully never had to use anything more than band aids and some water , me and my son took many hikes away from the camper van
