The explosion mechanics were also really impressive, like each block is set on fire and thrown with actual physics on them, even on mobile it ran smoothly

@@a.j.outlaster1222 Yeah, you can't really get the tools you expect to get in Minecraft, but sticks are basically your go to all purpose tool when starting out, and you can upgrade to clubs for the same purpose before you get to actual tools, plus you only need sticks and string from vines to craft your first "armor"

Also in creative mode you have the ALONG CAME ZEUS HE HURLED HIS LHGTNING BOLT button

Imo it is somewhat difficult. Your health don't regenerate as fast as Minecraft's. You must have a food variety. You must have yourself in decent temperature and have suitable clothes. You must have a certain level before crafting and using advanced tools. And I only recently found out that campfire keeps the predators away during night, stick can be used as a tool/weapon and rocks from gravel can be used for crafting stone tools. And besides all that, this game is enjoyable and has it's own charm for sure.

I love the difficulty it offers. but the level system is kinda yikes

I knew i wasn't the only one, the game is unique, realistic with different small details (for example being wet slowing you down a bit), it's difficult and most importantly, it doesn't hold your hand, you learn everything on your own, each mistake is a lesson.

This game is literally impossible, I swear U can't go 2 secs without being attacked by a wild animal

I think this is the first game like Minecraft that has crossbow in it. It also so cool bcz the mobs in this game changes in every biome, i remember me and my brother were always trying to find polar bears.

Some of the maps had hands down the most impressive builds I’ve ever seen. And then there were the others… you know… the other kind of maps that were always made by the survival craft community… (insert “those who know meme”)

i remember there were whole worlds where you would claim rooms and leave signs to speak and you could keep republish/downloading it to have “servers”. there would just be tons of signs of people talking to each other lol

Yeah SurvivalCraft 2 is unironically a great game, I used to play it more than Minecraft sometimes just because it has way more irl mobs, and it even introduced me to my now-favorite bird: the Cassowary!

@@fried_fries They maybe took inspiration from Minecraft later on, but Minecraft and Survivalcraft both came out in 2011. And they have some different design principles, such as non-rectangular mobs. And I myself don't like Survivalcraft that much, but my little brother likes it.

Survival craft to me isn't really a clone it's more like a different adaptation because it has unique mechanics and is more survival focused. It wasn't a quick cash grab for developers, there was definitely real passion and thought behind it

And the electronics in the game is absolutely absurd

Eh it depends on your taste, if you want a somewhat realistic texture with desaturated colors, then you'd love this game, but if you're more into stylized and a bit brighter look, then there's Minecraft.

@@obckao1032nah there parents were more than likely young when they had them, also survival craft came out two days before Minecraft’s official full release which was back in 2011 if they were born early 2004-2006 they had a chance to see there parents play these games while growing up
