I love how you can almost feel bad for Polyphemus as he’s getting absolutely jumped by everyone one moment only to have him become an absolute nightmare the next. Awesome work!

I'm imagining that the tiefling was secretly a bard and he's hiding his bardic inspirations with this sick song 😂

I also played a soulknife rogue, but I never thought to use my psychic blades for inspiring flourishes like that.

The Druids and the vines, the dramatic flourish of the blade, and the mix of magics are all so beautiful. This makes a BBEG fight feel so real, the raw emotion is so cool

god, you actually animating where he got the club from adds so much to be honest. cause |I noticed many just have him randomly holding it. but him on his knees being overwhelmed, only to notice the tree and ripping it from the ground in a desperate attempt to get a weapon to defend himself, is honestly so cool. honestly this whole battle was awsome.

This was incredible. The level of choreography and sense of motion here is amazing, everything felt so fast and fluid, even the camera movements were great. I love how the whole squad doesn't just attack carelessly in turns but continuously holds him down and keeps him pinned so he can barely move with combo moves, it makes them actually look intelligent and competent. That they actually hurt the cyclops too is something that I love here too, as I think the fact that he's near defeat in the song before he manages to get one good lucky shot is too often overlooked. The cyclops being all wounded and bloody to the point that he's clearly in pain and has been "hurt enough" is wonderful, yet you also see some cleverness on his side as he uses the tree as a surprise weapon to get just a little more range and break their perimeter. And the emotion on the tiefling's face as he's running away, so painful. Amazing work!

this is SO rad, and those motion shots when they’re circling the cyclops and twisting up the arm are impeccable, attack on titan levels of beautiful battle sequences

This has got to be my favourite Survive animatic by far, the fight animations are so smooth AAAAAA We don't have enough animations of the cyclops saga and you have done a service to this community, honestly would show this to friends to fill in for the lack of Cyclops saga animatics even though its not Odysseus (Not that the other animatics aren't good but this is on another level jeez)

This has probably been said a bunch in this fandom but this was freakin' Epic. I am so envious of every frame here. I love your art style I love the perspective lines I love the way you managed the camera shake when *that* part of the song came around! I love how you really conveyed this as a large scale battle between all these different groups and the cyclops! I love how everyone was doing something in the fight! And those little touches with the facial expressions of the captain? I just... Everything about this video is something I wanna be. You should be proud. This is awesome

This right here is an amazing animation, even if simplified. Really captures the emotions. I love the attention to detail, you can see every single injury they caused at the very end, especially the swirling blade marks down his arm. Also the 'club' looks like a tree first strike, then less like a tree with every strike as the roots are smacked off. For such a basic and simple animation style this is VERY clean and pays attention to detail. Well done, loved this!! I listen/watch this multiple times a day :)

there are so many compliments I can give this, but my favorite part of this piece is just how great you nailed the scale of the cyclops. he feels so massive, towering over everything in sight, you can almost FEEL the weight of his actions. and when he gets the tree from the ground, when he just goes through them all and starts approaching the protagonist and his friend, you believe him when he says "600 lives ill take, 600 lives i'll break". and him passing out feels so much more akin to just adrenaline waring off. they did enough to best him, but anything less and they was as good as dead. and the way he used that club felt so much like how we would just use a slipper to just crush ants. shout out to my guy who saw him on the ground and thought "fuck it" and threw a boulder at him tho. even the cyclops wasn't gonna let that disrespect slide. and shout out to the winged fellow who levi'd his ass, just love that part

I have watched a *lot* of Epic: The Musical animatics, and this one has some of the best shot composition of them all. Every single shot is dynamic and engaging, and you can so easily follow the pace of the action. Excellent work!

Wow, you can really see the weight of the cyclops when it falls.

When the tiefling sing "is just one life to take, and when we kill him, then our journey's over" she doesn't seem to believe what she's saying. Almost as if she knows that killing the cyclops is an almost impossible task and some of her companions are doomed to die trying
