It's impressive to see how resourceful Dima is, nice job diagnosing and fixing the heating issue! Great video!

I live in the most remote mountains of New Mexico. I deal with many problems of immediate importance, much like yourselves. You never know what you will need to survive. Perseverance and adaptability are so key. Much love from the Continental Divide.

Yeah, you definitely never know! So cool! Is it warm there? Sending all luck to you too ☺️

LOL, I live at 8000 ft. It's freezing about 4 months a year. I have to heat my wellhead and chain up my vehicles during this time. It's 100 miles to the nearest Walmart and 35 miles to fuel. Planning ahead is everything.

Fuel pump needs to be set at a 20-30 degree angle, output side pointing up👍

I found this information too. After I installed it with an angle nothing really changed tho

I have advice, sail south for winter as tourist!

We'll definitely do it, just as we bought this boat in September, we didn't have a chance to prepare it for long trips. Still a lot of work ahead, but we are slowly moving towards it😅

Дима мы в эти автономки на фурах в топливо добавляем керосин или бензин, чтобы они не забивались нагаром сажей. И нужно почаще их гонять на полную мощность они тогда сами себя прожигают и очищаются от сажи.
@YachtCityLife
@YachtCityLife 6 месяцев назад
Она у нас и так работает на полную мощность почти всегда. Она не забивается нагаром, когда работает исправно, а как показано в видео - она была не исправна.

Good fixing, hard to work on things when you can’t feel your hands.

Just one question, have you had your gas or diesel tank cleaned? how many years has this boat not moved. Perseverance and adaptability are so key. its coming from a retired boat person. It comes from a retired boat person who likes to watch boat rénovation because I can no longer work on them
@YachtCityLife
@YachtCityLife 2 месяца назад
@@l.r.dizing498 no, we didn't. We'll remove one of them soon, and check the second one. For about 7 years it didn't move, but the tanks were mostly empty before we started using them)

It is not 47 Celsius...your reader is off. I think it means Fahrenheit. 47C is 116F
@YachtCityLife
@YachtCityLife 6 месяцев назад
No, it was not off, it was excaust temperature and it should be about 200°C in normal working condition

When there’s heat condensation inside, it’s because of propane or gas heat… diesel and electric don’t cause that. FYI. 😎
@YachtCityLife
@YachtCityLife 3 месяца назад
If air is not sirculating, there will be condensation where the heater doesn't reach because it's the result of difference in temperatures of surfaces and high humidity. If we turn off HRV and leave windows as they are we clearly see it. FYI 😜
@zfilmmaker
@zfilmmaker 3 месяца назад
@@YachtCityLife that’s incorrect, propane and gas are liquid and cause condensation when burned. Diesel, although a liquid also burns dry.
@YachtCityLife

We have video on our channel about ventilation system on our yacht. I think you have to watch it 😉
@YachtCityLife
@YachtCityLife 3 месяца назад
@@zfilmmaker even though diesel burns dry it can't dry the whole big area if air is not circulating, especially in wet regions like Vancouver where we had 90% humidity with already installed diesel heater
@zfilmmaker
@zfilmmaker 3 месяца назад
@@YachtCityLife I don’t know then… I’ve got 44’, 64’ and 96’ boats with diesel heat and almost never have condensation inside.
