Your cooker is not designed for cooking meats or fish. It's a quick boiler for water, soups or stew type of meals. They get very hot very quickly. The reason your oil catches on fire is it has reached its flash point in the cooker. The temperature in the cooker is much higher than the cooking oil flash point. This is the reason for the fire you are experiencing. Just a heads up though "Never try to put it out with water". Can end up in the hospital burn ward very quickly.
This format where you befriend and fish with the locals is much better viewing than you having to fish solo all the time. You are a great communicator and your banter is infectious. Doesn't matter if it's not you catching the fish (for us viewers), this was a really good video - hope the family got to try some of the herring!
That is what fishishing is all about, eating, communicating, and having a good time. My last fishing trip I invited an 80 something year old gentleman to sit with me and watch me fish he did not want to fish since he could not stand though he did enjoy the conversation.
Mate just found your channel and its fantastic I just finished watching other one of your video and you said you let us down well mate stop thinking like that you have not let us down mate so keep on going and I will definitely see you in the next one 👍
Hey Bro if your are using soft bait like Pilchards you usually have to hold the rod and try to jerk it on a good bite, squids always better because it stays on longer. Live baits you hook just past halfway of the bait closer to the tail side so they stay alive.
Hi, im from the UK, we used to fish the pier, lighthouse pier, back in the day from friday after work till sunday night during the summer, fishing the mackerel by day when they were around, with sliver foil and feathers, , they would go off during the night, and we used the mackerel for bait through the night for whiting, or coley, cooking up the whiting, the mackerel, we kept and froze for the winter season and boat fishing, great in the winter to tip of your baits with it being an oily fish
hey mate great video im heading down there in a few days and hopefully get some snapper. just a tip herring fillets are really good bait and with the live garfish put a 3 hook small rig on it and you will have a bigger chance if a fish will eat it. cheers
In streaky bay I caught a bunch of trumpeter I also caught this cat fish looking thing near the shores it was pretty cool from the Jeti I caught a big king fish

@ 10:27 - they absolutely DO hit trumpeys as livies - they're great cause they are so resilient and strong on the hook too, last ages and swim vigorously. a great bait - i've hooked some awesome fish with them rigged up.
Why don’t you take the boat out and fish in those areas. Collect your bait and then fishing for bigger ones? Hahahah what was that guy doing eating the fish lol that was gold.
If you can adjust your flame on that burner unit you have keep the flame extremely low it'll take a little bit longer for the heat but once it's hot it's going to stay hot it's not the size of the flame is the amount of heat sustained heat okay when you're cooking good luck man I love your show so far❤
Great video. By the way those bait jigs are made to drop down or cast out a little bit and then do little sharp jigs or do ling jigs or sometimes just let it drift with the current
Your here for salmon season why aren’t you down Eagle Bay going for salmon? I always go beach fishing at Myalup chase herring in the morning Tailor from lunch too late Arco with the south westerly wind and mulloway at night. I caught a 5ft shovel nose there just last week.
You get em in Busselton at Eagle Bay or go a bit further South to Yeagarup. They should be heading back down soon. So they go north to lay their eggs and then head back down south. Ya can catch em all year round in Albany but right now is the salmon run. They taste alright if ya fillet n skin em then trim the blood line off. We usually make fish cakes or patties out of em. Just boil potatoes n steam the fish chuck in some peas spring onion garlic egg and parsley then we make the patties and crumb them.
Hey mate while you're over in W.A you should check out Jurien Bay rock wall and Dongara rock wall. I've caught massive mulloway and sambos there. If you really want to impress your missus and create a great memory for your adorable girls take them to Natures window in Kalbarri
@ 23:03 - you can get squid, just adjust your technique - you're too quick with the jig - they aren't like fish, you gotta be much much slower. What works for me is a slight slack bow in the line to let it sink, in 8meters you want 10-15 seconds (depending on weight of jig and current and line). a very long initial sink, get it right down there, -- then step2 give it 2 or 3 sharp jigs, take up most of the slack and let it rest back to near the bottom, perhaps 6 seconds minimum, then whack it 2-3 times again, and repeat... so you should be spending 3 times or more doing nothing, and the occasional sharp jig - not constantly 'swimming it'. try it! i've stood at many jetties where nobody is getting squid and left with a bucket full - everyone thinks its the colour or whatever but thats bs, ANY kmart cheapy will work, just use it right.
I found a way to fix your reel this happend to mine If you have a similar rod to that take off the spool of each rod and arfter you take the spool of take the little metal ring part out of the stem of the spool and take it out on the other rod and swap them over that will let it have sound again
