I'm a critical care RN and what Tyler said about his experience reminded me of what a patient told me after we resuscitated her when she hadda cardiac arrest. She said while we were resuscitated her she was watching us as she seemed to be floating in the room while we helped her. She lived and hadda full life after that. I'm so happy all came out with Tyler, i enjoy him so much, and have so much respect for what he does. Tyler looks great, so happy for the world he was saved.
This video is my new favorite! So many emotions, the ultimate cobra, near death detailed story.....just insane. I'm sitting on my couch drooling over Kevin, and squirming all over trying to stay far back while Kevin is ALL over that tight room lol!!!! DAMN!!!!!!! Thanks guys I love ya, be safe!!!!
I really respect his choice to hold on to that video and not allow some big network to twist his story in a way that portrayed them in a dark scary light which is exactly what they all would do. Mad respect for that! Wow that was an intense story man! I couldnt even frickin imagine! Thanks for sharing that Tyler!
Kevin is absolutely beautiful and amazing. We never know what our animals are thinking and feeling. I have a dog and a cat, and they both let me know when a storm is coming. I can’t believe you got bit by a King Cobra. You are lucky to be here to tell the story. Thanks for sharing it.
One year later… I actually did the math … $5,500 a vial of anti venom x 28 = $154,000 in anti venom treatment alone … but saving your life Tyler, is priceless!
That’s the price you pay for handling dangerous animals. These are not pets and should never be treated as such. He clearly gets an adrenaline rush out of handling them. He’s very lucky to have survived that bite. Unless you are housing venomous snakes for the purposes of providing anti venom, there is no rationale reason to be keeping or handling these animals. These animals deserve their dangerous reputations. They cannot be trusted under any circumstances. These knuckleheads are painting a very dangerous message to the public.
I'm no snake handler, but Tyler i love your attitude. "i got 9 more fingers" that's awesome attitude brother. proof that you guys are the real deal and the ones that i would want to teach me if i were going to get into snake handling.
Tyler is an ambassador for the venomous reptile community, for sure! Love both of your videos. So thankful for you and what you do to promote these important animals! Thank you both!!!
What's the most awesome thing about this video? Chandler, you and Tyler never express anger at the snake that bit Tyler. Not once. An animal didn't feel good, had a temporary visual disability due to the shedding, got scared and reacted. You DO express understanding -- you'll prevent discomfort and accidental reactions from happening in the future, but that understanding and the love you have for animals makes YOUR reaction kindness. This video is worth watching for that lesson alone. So much kindness here.
@@timothinking9855 Actually, I don't send angry texts -- can't remember the last time I ever did -- and I hope I didn't sound angry! I get so excited when I see people being nice (like how they were SO compassionate to this animal) and wind up typing like a person who moves their hands a lot when they talk. I'll think about what you've said, because I don't want people I'm praising to think I'm angry!
What have they got to complain about? Why be angry for being bitten, due to keeping a wild animal captive, then hoiking it out of it's un- natural enclosure with an iron hook, then hanging it up by it's tail? LOVE for the animals??? No evidence of that here - just foolhardy showmanship and misplaced bravado! Idiots!!
Back here after just seeing Chandlers latest video. Mad how much they’ve changed from this video but mistakes can still happen! Love both these guys and glad they both made it through their bites! 💙
Big C, I’m back here watching old vids. God I’m lucky to be able to watch this stuff and see back where you were, before I knew you now what you have. What a video this was to come across. I love you guys
I am I live these 2 dudes they are freaking amazing pretty inspirational dudes they really have a little ve and passion for this that most people don't have for anything
@Hottskull24 wow, classic male projection. First of all. I never asked for a stranger, off the internet, to send me a compliment on a comment to a video I commented on weeks ago. Secondly, I just because you deleted the comment doesn't mean I can't pull it back up and put your sad ass on blast. Thirdly, this is no way to behave after a woman rejected you. Grow up and get with times. Thanks for comimg to my Ted talk. ✌🏻
Ced von Lewyn Nope, Trump is a Floridian now. It figures, since this state (my home) is unfortunately, MAGA red hat country. www.nytimes.com/2019/10/31/us/politics/trump-new-york-florida-primary-residence.html
Thanks guys, great vid and yeah Kevin is a handsome fella. Subbed, I came here from Tyler's channel. Old British guy 68 soon, loved snakes my whole life but don't have many wild ones here in the UK. Respect.
@@cmac8382 if you don’t watch chandler and haven’t watch his video or don’t know who he his, including his friend, they are not an ignorant fuck, you just saying that because they are handling an dangerous animal, but they are professional, and chandler know about the snake behavior, when they are upset, happy, calm, etc. every snake have different behavior. Not gonna feel like writing you an essay about what chandler do. They are not ignorant fuck, the only one who is an idiot is you clearly. And cobra don’t eat people, they eat other snake
Man, I really love this guy. What a story! So glad that Tyler came out okay. Thanks for sharing this, you guys push such a positive and meaningful message when it comes to loving and caring for these beautiful animals. Much love and respect!
I just watched you get bit by that Monocle Cobra. I am happy that you were able to make it out okay and also still have your finger. It was CRAZY to see you go RIGHT back in and handle another dangerous snake. You are truly amazing. Much love man. You are a saint to all animals.
Man crazy story!! Kevin the cobra is a beast! I love snakes but life is too short Cobras are no joke! Glad your still here! Stay safe fellas!! God bless!
Hi Chandler Thanks for having Tyler Nolan on your channel talking about his experience of getting bitten by a king Cobra, and surviving getting envenomated again. And holds no bad feelings about that snake. Bad day, angry shedding snake. He was lucky that he only lost part of a finger. His and Chandler's Love and passion for snakes is their life. Kevin is so I beautiful, and letting Tyler hold him is amazing. And to educate the public let them learn about snakes, and the best way to take care of them.🐊🦎🐍🐢❤️Cindy
Hi Chandler its my first time visiting your chanel that is a beautiful King Cobra!!! and your friend Tyler's bite story was wild!! keep up the great work and stay safe.
when the super tatted up white dude started talking about being injected with ketamine and astral projecting as he's dying from a king cobra bite i realized that i have not truly lived
Lisica Raev Tyler Nolan. You should check out his RU-vid videos. Really cool guy, tattoo artist, he was on the TV Show Inkmasters. At his home he has an amazing macaw, two hairless kitties, a German Shepherd, aquariums, snakes, and an animal loving girlfriend who is so sweet and drop dead beautiful. He’s up to 95,000, today 28 Aug, 2019, subs so we are close to seeing the video of him getting bitten by the King Cobra. I know all this because after binge watching Chandler, I moved on to binge watching Tyler.
Huge respect for what you do Chandler. Just like you mentioned the risk of having non-experts twist the story around the snake bite video, as a critical care doctor, I worry about the misinformation you guys are spreading regarding the utility of fasciotomy in snake bites. Admittedly every case is unique and I can't speak to the specific regarding your friends, but a fasciotomy is often a limb saving procedure in the context of compartment syndrome. The swelling can be so severe that it cuts off blood flow to the distal parts of your limb and the muscle begins to die. You are correct that the swelling will go down eventually, but in the case of a compartment syndrome (which is a real possibility following an envenomation), even a few hours of ischemia could result in tissue death and loss of a limb. A few scars and a hell of a story is a small price to pay to keep your arm. Be safe out there man.
@PureBlue snake bite swelling does get to that level, and often. They are lucky enough to be able say that they think the did not need the procedure while keeping most of or all of the bitten limb, but had it not been done and they had lost the whole limb they would be much more upset than they are now with some scarring. Doctors do not do the procedure lightly, or when it is not needed so the fact that it was done meas an entire team of medically trained professions deemed it necessary to save that persons limb.
@PureBlue Okay there has been some confusion then as you previously wrote "snake points dont get to that level" meaning you were stating that no snake bites ever make a fasciotomy necessary. So yes most snake bites do not result in swelling making a fasciotomy necessary, however bites from a venomous snake that cause excessive swelling do. Also any reaction that causes too much swelling may need one, I almost required one for a reaction to an ity bity mosquito bite. And as a member of a medical team in the hospital that responds to critical care incidents in the ICU, trauma incidents in emerge, and working in the operating room I am 'using my brain'..
I immediately scrolled through the comments specifically to see if anyone had called this out, and I was glad to see that you had. As an emergency medicine resident, I was mind blown hearing them say with so much confidence that fasciotomies are unnecessary in these situations. It’s pretty asinine to suggest we “think we need to relieve the pressure” when an extremity is simply “swelled up.” If that were the case, we would be doing fasciotomies every day on people with congestive heart failure who have massive amounts of lower extremity edema. When a fasciotomy is performed, it’s because it’s likely the only thing that will prevent you from having to get the limb amputated altogether. You guys rely on us being there to save your lives when the inevitable happens and you get bit handling one of these snakes. So please don’t spread misinformation on a specific topic you clearly aren’t very educated on, seeing as one of you referred to to procedure as a “scapionomy” and the other called it a “fleshiotomy”.
But doc, wouldn’t prompt administering of anti venom drastically lessen the chances of needing a drastic procedure? In 2001 I was bit by a captive raised Florida Cottonmouth,I was in the ER within 10 min. Crofab was on board within another 10 min,6 vials. They sent down the surgeon who wanted to cut right away, even though swelling was not that severe( the Crofab was beginning to do its work) I told him to let’s wait and see,the ER attending concurred. After an hour swelling was drastically reduced. A night in ICU,some pain meds and antibiotics, and went home the next day. After two weeks,my hand was fine as if nothing happened with full use to this day. Your opinion please sir.
I have been rewatching these videos for years lol. Everyone I know makes fun of me for my interest so I keep it to myself now and just watch when I'm alone.
Such a shame that they're so deadly, they're strangely cute snake. Their frill looks more cute than intimidating, and their faces are so round and smooth. Adorable
It's great he didnt sell his story and is able to tell it as it exactly happened, maybe doctors will learn from this on how to treat an snakebite victim.
Its crazy that earlier td you put up a new video of you drinking king cobra venom and then you come and watch this video seeing your old set up ect you have come along ways in 2 years new home ect..good job man
Even my dog acts totally different in stormy weather. Of course thunder hurts his ears but even before the storm begins, he senses it and senses it hard. I’m so glad you’re okay Tyler. Good for you for standing your ground and not selling your story to some network. Praying for you both to stay safe in caring for your animals. It’s a total miracle you’re still here.
Tyler had a classic Near Death Experience..thousands of people have had the same experience, being able to word for word describe conversations of doctors/family members while being unconscious.
Man that is a tight space for 2 guys and a huge king cobra, I know you guys are fully professional about this and know what your doing. Just looks tight
Tyler saved his own life when he was envenomated the 2nd time. The hospital would’ve killed him if he didn’t tell them he needed more antivenin. Awesome knowledge & glad he’s ok.
Well, you only see and hear one side of the story. I can’t tell you how many patients get on the phone after I tell them the risk of a procedure and then they tell the other person on the phone that I’ve basically said they are going to die. I’m like, dude, I said there was a risk of a getting pneumonia…..
Incredible interview. Good questions - points, great interaction, and Tyler is so forthcoming and animated it's like we were there. Wow. Just....WOW! Thank you guys.
I LOVE KING COBRAS 🐍 AND I LOVE KEVIN!!!! If Reptiles don’t or cannot Love then Kevin is rare but I see that Kevin is intelligent and his tolerance is very Loving !!!!!! Great guest Tyler he is Awesome and I Love his attitude of positivity and good Spirit….
I actually had a somewhat similar near death experiences as far as having an astral projection moment during surgery. Not from a snake bite but a heroin overdose (clean 2 years now)
Dang that's twice Chandler noticed my comment now! I'm honored bro. Can't wait to come check out the facility I'm in WPB so I'll have to make a trip for sure
I was so invested in this story between two respected reptile keepers, but I couldn’t help but laugh when Tyler started talking about astral projecting and ketamine. 😂 Glad he’s doing well though!
Tyler you're so lucky bro. Cobra venom is the fastest active more than any other snake. I've heard of people dying 30 minutes to a hour from being bit. Glad your ok!
Depends on bunch of different things, snake milker in SA died within 2-3 minutes from the black mamba bite due to an allergic reaction. I know a story of a guy in Europe dying to a bite of a non venomous grass snake due to an allergic reaction to whatever, depends on the snake, the bite, the victims physical and mental strength etc, but all of venomous snakes are potentially lethal even the likes of European common adder.
Tyler Nolan's story made me cry cause that's sad.He saw his life flash before his eyes. Luckily he survived and that's all that matter we love you tyler nolan and please be careful, please you don't know how much people love you
Tyler led me here. Thanks for the bit of info, he's been talking about the bite. Waiting for the video. Man, Kevin is huge!! You guys are crazy, I love it. Must be an adrenaline rush.
