Lea, you took the words out of my mouth, yes I am envious . What a beautiful, diverse country. And to describe the views from the hotel as ‘ jaw dropping’ is indeed an understatement. Wow! Thanks for sharing it and I hope you enjoyed your gin&tonic ( or two). 😉. Hope you are well , and continued safe riding. Cheers, Dan. ✌️🇨🇦
Yes, you made me jealous! That must have been an ordeal driving in that sandstorm! What a beautiful hotel though, you earned the spa. Hope you didn't had a hangover from the gin-tonic the next day because of the inevitable dehydration during that long drive through that conditions. Looking forward to next week as always!😊
Shamal, the famous name of the wind, it can sometimes blow for days, I remember it well when I was based in the UAE, the whole area is effected, even as I regularly drove over the mountains from the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman it could get quite challenging to keep my car headed in the right direction. I hope your eye is ok, when I was hit by a bee on the bridge of my nose while speeding down the highway a couple of years ago my face turned into a balloon, in the morning some antihistamine jabs did not seem to do to much, still about four days before it looked reasonable. The cold air high in the mountains must have been very welcome after the heat of the coast. Great episode, looking forward to the next one.
Drone videos shots ❤️ horrible in Sand Strom cruising 😳, stunning un explainable beauty of caves ✨ and specially thanks for your informations about every things 👍
Thank you for this wonderful coverage, I'm from the Sultanate of Oman, but I've never seen this place and such beauty before, I enjoyed a lot while watching your trip, and welcome to your second home 🇴🇲🤝
Amazing scenery! From the coast to the mountains - breathtaking. The hotel was pretty sweet too. And the food looked delicious. Middle Eastern is one of my favorites. Best!
Wow I'm obsessed with that desert harbor gas station. And the sandstorm was beautiful! I love when you see snaking sand blowing across the road. I saw some of that in the high desert in India but nothing compared to this! Beautiful!
Thanks to you we discover a part of the world that is so far away, so unknown. The music you use fits so well into the whole picture. You feel and hear the atmosphere of the country
Nice lovely between the sea and the mountains that you reached finally and the drone shots were done smartly capturing those exotic sceneries. Thanks Lea , enjoyed the ride shared by you. Good riding.
Nunca me hubiera pensado que ese país que ni siquiera lo conocia tuviera tan lindas vistas siendo tan desconocido para mí que vivo del otro lado del océano aquí en Sudamérica Gracias por el video saludos y éxitos
So immersive.. almost like I was there.. and like always, best videography, best music, best narration and excellent editing.. Oman deserves an admirer like you who is spreading its beauty all over the globe . 👍👍👌..
Gin and Tonic! You make me laugh. What a beautiful yet desolate country. Ive never seen anything like it. No billboards, minimal signage, very few people out and about. Thanks for sharing!
Enjoyed this episode Lea just cant believe you had any paint left on those bikes after being sand blasted, and it was certainly good to see you back in the style you are accustomed to in a nice hotel. Hope the gin and tonic was good. Thank you.
Wow! Would that be considered to be a haboob? I rode last weekend in really windy weather here. I know your pain. But I didn't have sand on the roads and I didn't have to dodge camels. That cave is pretty cool. That hotel is amazing. Gin and tonic for everyone!! See you next week. Ride Safe!
Lea Stunning scenery there in Oman! You have a gift of capturing it and making it look like I am there. Another breathtaking episode Lady! Of course you get more roses Lea! I will start sending you some vases for them too. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🏆 🙌👏👏👏👏👏🖖👌✌🤙👍👋🙂
Hi, for me your video'trip are the most interresting video I never seen on the net.Image, comments, subjets are perfect . Carry on and let us dream more and more. Thanks
I only ride in The Netherlands and Belgium. Close but beautiful. You inspire me to explore the roads. And though it stays pretty close, I enyoi my rides.
"Wanderer, kommst du nach Spa…" Spa hard!!1! 🤗 Another great one! A former colleague of mine told a story of a drive form Los Angeles to Phoenix. He had gotten into a bad sandstorm there. When he arrived, the upwind-side windows of his car had partly gone dull and after getting out he looked at bare metal on that side. The paint had been blasted off. Are the screens your on your bikes still transparent?
Wow that sounds like an expensive sandstorm! 😅 I think our bikes were fine - but to be honest I as well didn’t wash them before returning them, so I actually don’t know! 😂😂😂
Le désert m'intrigue quand ils veulent construire un chemin de fer. Il y a des nouveaux méthodes pour éviter le remplissage de sable entre les rails. Un chasse-sable est probablement encore requis quand-même. Le vent a amélioré votre "w" .
Im not envious at all, I share your passion even tho i dont ride a motorbike, and not envious because you take me there, where ever you go.... Another great ride ive enjoyed.. Thank you..
Es hermoso este video el hotel me impacto 😍 muy linda edición te sigo desde Argentina un abrazo!!!! Mi nombre es Adrián García 😄 me encantan tus viajes
Another beautifully done video! I felt your pain in that wind. I have not experienced the sand so much, but high wind many times. Good for you on the massage!
Great diverse episode Lea! I hate high winds even more than rain. Experienced some bad ones in the Columbia Gorge (Oregon/Washington) and in Arizona...
That road covered with sand reminded me of a ride I did on the west coast of Peru. Also covered with blowing sand in sections, very remote, North of Arequipa to Nazca. Now thirsty, I Got2Go and make a Gin and Tonic with a squeeze of lime. 😋
Superb as usual..each episode improving Now a MUST for me every Thursday evening Sadly.. maybe not next week 😐.. going into hospital... surgery But l will catch up Stay safe !! PS..you should have a competition.. as to who is your travel partner !!!.. lol I have my suspicion.. 😅😅
Oh I hope surgery goes well too! Good luck! We think about you! My travel partner is not anyone who is popular in the motorcycle scene (or any other scene 😂😂😂) because as you might have realized he is a very private person.
The sand drifts on the roads look a bit like we have on the roads behind the sand dunes at the coast, especially after a storm. Not great to ride through with a normal bike. The coast there, around the cave, is beautiful. Driving is strong winds is indeed tiring but not too difficult as long as the roads are clean. I rode several times during a 5-6 bft storm and also in the dark which is exhausting because you can’t se the road surface properly.
The difficultly depends a lot on how the strong winds or the storm is - I really don’t think that can be generalized in „it’s not difficult“. if it’s wind like the one that you have when you travel to Ushuaia, where there are always crazy strong side winds, it’s ok because they are kind of stable, coming always from one direction. If it’s a storm like this it is much more difficult and actually as well much more dangerous, because it was not stable, but gusty, so you kind of lean the bike against one direction and then the wind hits you like a steel fist from another one and Carries you meters away from the line that you planned to ride. Add the sand on the road and a very limited visibility (it was much worse in real life than you can see on the videos) and the ride gets pretty difficult.
@@Got2Go i agree if the winds come from different directions. Here, the storm gusts come more or less from one direction. More dangerous and I normally don’t ride my bike then but sometimes you have to. Loose sand is always difficult, at least for normal bikes; I have no experience on an off-road bike.
Noooo! Now I'll never feel worthy of staying at that incredible hotel unless I endure the type of harrowing and exhausting ride you two had to endure, and honestly, I'm not up for that :) ........great vid!
I love you r videos you have showing beautifull place amazing place i love thst place nay waya you r also beautiful lovely i am zulfiqar ali from pakistan you r all episode so so so nice beautifull h
Another beautiful video of another great ride! Also, would you or your partner have trouble choosing between those two bikes for your own? I just saw someone else agonizing on their pros and cons. Happy trails!
Even though my travel partner owns an Africa twin we both agree that the Tenere is definitely the more versatile bike if you as well plan to ride more challenging terrain like desert, sand or a lot of off-road. For me the Africa twin is not up for consideration to be honest. For traveling for me it is always the Tenere, I don’t see any advantages of the Africa twin for traveling besides of it being bigger and maybe slightly more comfortable on long highway rides (which you try to avoid when traveling long distance anyways), and for tarmac roads at my home in Europe I would more choose a bike with more power like a 1250 GS. (Don’t get me wrong, I think the Africa twin is a great and reliable bike for all sorts of riding, but I do either long distance travel or ride around at tarmac roads in the alps, so i personally just would not have any use for it).
