Today I set up both the fermenter & squeezer as the first step in the multistep process of producing biodiesel. Garden cloche feed sugarcane to the fermenter and industrial hemp seeds to the squeezer to produce ethanol and plant oil.

Recently got back into Minecraft with RLCraft, but ended up back on a friend's FTB server instead. Immediately found myself drawn to IE but for the life of me couldn't piece it together - I got everything working and I understand most of the things I've come across so far, but looking at the bigger picture - or even where to start - was for some reason a huge hurdle that made me want to go do something else instead. Then I found your old Surviving with IE series and binged the entire thing, now I have a factory. So I just wanted to say thanks for the educational and inspirational videos, they really do help out.

I really appreciate you doing this series. I love immersive engineering and its nice to have videos dedicated to a single mod and not a mix match of different ones thrown in.

I was waiting to see how long until you noticed the sugar cane needed sand. Garden cloches are very specific! The growing speed makes up for it quickly, though. Just watching it spitting out hemp all over the floor, yup, that's my precious little cloche doing its job!

Dude that base looks pretty clean. I'm one of those who never makes bases as well unless it's just a vertical series of big square holes. I will say my only gripe with IE is how it litters your inventory with stuff. Almost makes a backpack or even a dedicated dank/null a requirement.

One thing I love about Immersive Engineering is that *all of the machines* can be mirrored. At least, I've not run into any examples, from Engineering core or from Petroleum, that wouldn't work just fine if you flipped the schematic in either horizontal dimension (up and down are constant, but the other two axes are fine). You may need to do a bit of extra thinking to actually position it without using the Projector, but it works. So, the original plan could have worked fine - you'd just need to mirror the squeezer.

I recommended anyone using Immersive Engineering to also use Immersive Railroading!! Everything in that mod works the same and uses IE stuff as well and who doesn't want a cargo train to move supplies from one factory to another? :) Its amazing!! I have a tanker ship that actually moves and I go out to an off shore oil platform to fill up with crude and then transport it back to my big oil refinery it is fun!!!!

I can't wait for this in 1.17 gonna be able to build some amazing under ground factory like builds Building in the ground helps me a lot because I'm definitely not much of a builder xD

Do you know if Mekanism's logistical transporters work as output for the garden cloche? I've tried a bunch of different ways but I can't seem to get it to work.

yes they work, couple things to note. they have to be connected to the top port of the front, then you have to use the configurator on the tiny section that is the connector and set it to pull. it won't auto put them in the tubes, you have to specifically tell it to pull. he did it in his surviving with mekanism series just fine.

What mod gives you the projector for layout of machines?

I believe immersive engineering gives the projector. I haven't made it yet as I just noticed its a thing yesterday prior to recording, but I will be making it asap to make the larger assemblies easier.

Huh, last I was aware that wasn't a standard part of Immersive Engineering, but Immersive Petroleum. Unless that quite recently got brought into the core mod.

They are covered conveyor belts, you can make them using steel scaffolding and conveyor belts.

Hi, i am playing FTB Ultimate Reloaded with the exact same Version of Immersive Engineering and i dont have the Fluid Pipe and can't build it. Is this an Error or do i need a machine to build it?

Do saplings work in the garden cloches? Its probably wishful thinking but I'd love to be able to grow them and get wood like that

Nah. Look into the Bonsai Pots mod. It's effectively the exact same thing but for trees (and botany pots for cloches that don't require power, which is kinda broken)

Oh my god you should see how much of a pain is to make steel in the game stationeers 300kPa - above 600k it’s hard to automatize it and a 3:1 ratio on iron and coal

I will try my best to find stuff to make videos on but the mod maker stated that robots will not be in 1.12 and will take forever to port to whatever version he decides to eventually add them to :(
