Well, well, well. Look what precious gem I bumped into. Thank you for this video. However I'm not sure I can bear to listen to the whole thing without totally falling apart before going about my day. I've worked on my inner stuff for many decades and then 5 years ago I got into Abraham Hicks that stressed how counterproductive it was to think or feel anything bad, sad or ugly about the horrible parts of the past. Oh spit! Deny the feelings. The "Law of Attraction" sector, and the "Spiritual" community is so conflicted, so full of contradictions I've been in a serious quandry for the past few years about therapy in general along with my own inner work. It feels awful. I feel so empty, confused and stuck. I'm afraid I'm blocking a lot of rage regarding the situation. Back to square one. Anybody out there identify with this kind of quandry?

so hard to hear this. I am a victim AND an abuser. I am an abuser from the parts of myself still healing, still triggered. I apologize to my kids and explain what I am doing so as not to manipulate but there has been a lot of freaking out. Thank you, Matt, for opening up. Thank you.

You described my childhood in so many ways. I realize I'm still attracting people into my life that I try to rescue and heal who don't reciprocate that love and only hurt me in the end. The timing of this is impeccable because I've been facing these same challenges and finally coming to terms with them. Now it's time to love myself and get the abuse out of my life. Idk how I will do this because frankly it's terrifying to consider leaving everything I've ever known behind but I know there is so much more waiting for me beyond what I've been holding onto. Thank you so much Matt!

Matt when I woke up this morning my headphones were still in my ears. I meditate to put myself to sleep. When I had awoken this morning I heard a voice. I look up and saw your name and read Matt Kalm. Thank you for sharing your story. I loved the peace and calmness I felt in your voice,. For I was lost and now I am found. I love you.

Beyond belief,well yeah,beyond the old belief,to this moment of Oh Lord God,Thank you for my intuition finding this right when it came out.Thank you to Matt Kahn.Me too! I can be finally free of stuffing myself w food,frozen at home alone,300 lbs, at 57,no more going to the streets doing alcohol,drugs,cigs,alone with no family,or job,and having walked away from a 12 step community,that were being abusive,I am so excited to come out of the closet,and be my beautiful sensitive,Starseed self.Ive been working w the Angels and Ascended Masters for years,silently and mostly in dreamtime.Yay!

perfectly perfect! I'm currently pregnant and beyond honored to travel through this rite of passage, but have experienced a place of vulnerability I have never been in before. My past holds many experiences of abuse and I thank all of them for what they have taught me. I recently left a toxic relationship and said to the universe thank you, but that I no longer needed to stay in an abusive state anymore to know my worth. What resonated for me in this video is that leaving and no longer accepting that behavior is love and it allows other to heal also. Thank you for being you!

I relate to this on such a deep and profound level! Parts of your childhood and conflicting mother / son relationship could have just as well been my story...the abuse, the terror, being made the victim but at the same time the rescuer, friends in adulthood who I helped and healed and who then deeply hurt and rejected me...Thank you for sharing! SO inspiring, truly beyond words. I want to applaud you. I don't know why I've never really liked you before...but now I get the feeling maybe it was because I sensed your pain and therefore felt you were a phony when you didn't talk about it and only presented yourself as the healer. But now that I know your story I can see that you actually have more integrity and authenticity and credibility than any other spiritual teacher. God bless your soul

Matt you are transforming lives around the world. The idea of cutting abuse out of your life is new to me. I'd always thought I had to incorporate it into who I am, like broken bones that don't heal. As always epic timing, as I’ve endured a lot of negative energy from my parents. In the exact situation always being the rock for them, and When I needed them they walked away bc of religious beliefs. Thank you Matt for allowing yourself to be so open, so vulnerable. Thank you for sharing your story. I honor you and acknowledge your pain. I am in the position of being a spiritual teacher and way-shower, but often fear really sharing my past experiences of having been mentally, emotionally, physically and sexually abused by my father as a child and for many years. I fear the most other family and those who know my parents to know this about them. And for whatever reason, I do not feel I need to bash my parents for what happened or to shame or embarrass them so this holds me back from really revealing this, I have made my peace with what has happened. But maybe one day like you, I will have the way of words so eloquent that you used to be able to share such a delicate subject. Thank you Matt. Bless you. xoxo

Wow Matt. had the same type of Mother. But my father slipped out of the situataions and finally died very early. She is still alive and I learn loving her for her Life Force that might be mine too. She is getting 98 now. I can so relate to all you share so honestly. Love you.

At 37 years old i now realize only I control my emotions and turning my empathathic self of a curse into my blessing. Finding Matt Khan has been a blessing to my life and has been helping me in my life in so many ways. Seeing myself worth to the point of having a part in being able to leave bad attachments of a twin flame firstly leading to making getting myself off the Portland streets possible. Now surviving living in my parents home again. Meditations, affirmations, gratitude, prayer and Matt Khan getting me through this part of my journey. Thank you for sharing.

I knew you going threw burning of layers because i have been too. I told myself damn it i hope Matt will come with some real emotion because i too have been diving deep into the shadow side of me and really need authentic teachers to come forward. i think byron katie says a yes to others that is a no to yourself is still a no.. if that makes sense... not an exact quote but i think that is what happens when we try to please others and forget ourselves. My parents also fought i did not help them however.
