Oh hey, don't forget to plant those berry bushes back at your home base - The quicker you put those suckers down the sooner you'll have some sweet, sweet berries to munch on!
Thanks for the video, I just picked the game up and I wanted to say i appreciate the tips :) I love building and exploring in games like Valheim, Minecraft and Enshrouded, this looks even more in depth, excited to hop on. Cheers again on the great video!
I've heard of Vintage Story a short while ago and was on the fence of getting it. Someone said it is unforgiving which has me hesitant. But after watching your video however, I think I'll pick it up. Thanks for that!
It’s definitely a tough game, it’s not afraid to kill you. But it’s never felt unfair to me. It can be overwhelming at first, and it makes you work for everything. But because of that, when you do accomplish something it feels VERY rewarding! Glad my video could help, more to come! Hope you enjoy VS!
Great tutorial! This makes me tempted to get the game. Looks like a lot of fun. I love the nutrition feature. In Minecraft and Palworld I just eat one source of food which is incredibly boring and easy.
Thanks! I’m still working on surviving your second day, it got a bit larger than I anticipated so I’ve decided to make a few other tutorials in between its release to help supplement.
I thought Vintage Story was like a full conversion modpack for Minecraft but it's it's own thing it seems. I feel like someone was fed up with Minecraft and made a game with a LOT more depth. making what Minecraft could have been. Also totally unscripted bear lol.
Yeah, it really depends on what your spawn looks like, that’s why I mentioned cooking cattails as I’ve found that when in a really tough biome, cattails are usually very easy to find. If you’re in a heavily forested area look for mushrooms, and fish can also be a great source of food if you’re in a tough spot - You can even eat fish raw and they’ll provide additional satiation than cooked.
Pressing the ‘H’ key will bring up the survival handbook! It will have recipes for everything. It’s a nice reference, but can also be a bit overwhelming, not always structured the best.
