Great recap as always! - I'm baffled why anyone still leaves their bag behind for a challenge. Have they not seen past seasons?? Also why do they need a bag to carry a slip of paper advantage or a tiny string with beads. Just slip it in your underwear or socks!!?
The twist with having the person voted out on the losing tribe not be on the jury while the other person out on the jury seemed cruel. It puts so much pressure on them. I felt bad for Kelly The imdividual immunity necklaces looks great! Sad to see Kaleb & Sifu go. Glad that Kaleb at leasts gets to be on jury I agree that sharing with Katurah about the idol backfired because she found out that Jake and the rest were actively keeping it from her by distracting with searching for the rings Its unfortunate to see the way Bruce is treating the other players. :( I didn't like how Dee thought she was in control of the tribe because she won immunity. I think it was more that there were three in her alliance in that group (her, Julie and Austin) I can't wait to see what Jake does next and how his talk with Julie will go I liked the flash forward editing :) Why did Jake & Caleb think that Austin was playing scared? Can't wait to see what happens at the auction
David’s face when he said “the most condescending conversation.” 😂 That is exactly how I felt. I was fuming on Kalebs behalf. I would have loved to see more of Kaleb’s feisty personality, like when he purposefully misunderstood Bruce. I really enjoyed Kaleb, but if he would have toned down the smiling salesman some and been more authentic he would have gone further. And he was way too comfortable being the center of attention when it would have benefited him to try to blend in a little more.
Jake and Caleb made two mistakes. They should not have spilled the beans about Bruce's idol. And instead of trying to force a tie at tribal, they should have approached Austin before tribal to try and sway his vote.
I can see Bruce making it to the end but winning looks highly doubtful. Katurah's profession as a lawyer is helping her stay controlled when interacting with Bruce. Even though on the outs, I'm warming up to her as a player, hopefully she can get off the floor and find her feet in the game. Kellie missed a prime opportunity to make Bruce waste his idol at Tribal, thereby diminishing his game play status. Nice edit with the flash forward, like the planning stage in a caper movie, but when it comes to the crime the plan goes wrong. Would have been much cooler if it would have went through so the anticlimactic end left me with the feeling this was the weakest episode so far. I'm fine with two immunities and two boots, but not separate TCs or exclusion from the jury after "merge".
When caleb got all of the votes he read them all just to make sure [like I know he already knows the outcome] no one vote went to a ranfom person. But I think other times he read enough votes for the person to go home. So with 5 voting once one person had 3 votes that was it but he only not read maybe one vite right?
As much as i like Caleb,Katurah made the right decision, going to rocks? Thats a bad bad plan, why think that Austin will flip. Sifu wasent going to win or made any move, he didnt click with anyone.
Here are the standings after 7 episodes Frannie has the lead with 48 pts J Maya 14 pts out Jake 15 pts Julie 19 pts Chantele is in 2nd with 46 pts Dee 21 pts Kaleb 19 pts out Sabiyah 9 pts out Sarah is in 3rd with 41 pts Drew 24 pts Sifu 17 pts out Hannah quit David is in 4th with 39 pts Brando 9 pts out Austin 25 pts Sean 5 pts quit Owen is in last with 37 pts Kellie 18 pts Katurah 16 pts Brandon 3 pts out
remember when they were digging and got caught by the girls? and then later the girls were helping them dig. They found the clue, gave it to Austin and he went and dug up the idol.
I didn’t like the flash forward. I agree that it felt heavy handed and I immediately thought the plan wasn’t going to work because they showed part of it. It kind of just took me out of the game. Of course reality shows are heavily produced, but for me, it made it feel like a scripted show instead of a reality show with real people.
