Meta Editing: If the theme of the season is underestimating then Genevieve be invisible is forcing the audience to underestimate her therefore fitting the theme of the season
There is a secret scene this week of Andy getting picked last in the schoolyard pick and explaining his thoughts and feelings of being an underdog… if Andy was winning this 10000% would be a part of his underdog story line. I think Andy has already drawn dead and will possibly be a 3rd place goat finisher
Something that I found interesting is that there were 4 voiceover confessionals in the very start of the premiere. It was Aysha, Rome, Gabe, and Genevieve. What stood out to me is that Gabe’s confessional gets reiterated in ep6. Where he talks about wanting to be on the survivor mount rushmore. I think that it’s possible that Genevieve’s confessional about either blazing her own path or burning down the island can come back. Now I still don’t think she’s winning but to have her as low as 10 is kinda insane when there’s people who are very obviously set up to go. Kyle and Tiyana both have no longevity and Kyle’s storyline specifically has already wrapped up with him being a nice guy and that leading to him being believed over Rome.
The thing I can't drop about Sam is the fruit scene and the rap scene. Why would they include such pointless personal content for someone who's NOT a winner, or at least someone who doesn't make finale.
You’re right. His content is reminiscent of Charlie, Ben, and Kenzie last season. Dee and her big toe in 45. It would be shocking for him not to make the finale

I don't think Genevieve is winning either but I think people kinda overstate how invisible she was in the beginning. She at least got camera time and a couple confessionals, and I never forgot who she was. I didn't perceive her premiere content to be just about Rome. It established a dynamic with Teeny (being close but disagreeing about the game) that stuck out to me as very important. She also created the power structure there. And she has gotten some content that wasn't entirely circumstantial.
I think that Rachel edit can get into serious connection if she manages to repair her relationship with Andy in this next episode and have them work together to blindside Sam
edgic she is overrated but I don't think her game is too bad. ended up on the wrong side of the numbers but its too early merge to tell how the rest will play out, she can def leave next episode in the split tribal and that is why she is so invisible
I don't think it's just the people are rooting for Genevieve, I think Genevieve is an extremely charismatic person and this makes people think everything that she says is a winner quote
I agree with you on the fact that this season has been solidly good so far and really picked up after episode 4. I would probably rank it 3 or 4 in the New Era right beside 44 currently at like 21/47 so far and my main criticism is its nothing new that we've seen this season HOWEVER one thing I do find interesting about this season is how big characters are actually...going out early? A lot of the late 20s and early 30s seasons do this. I know Rome's blindside was obvious but he was SO present before it, I somehow expected him to go far. I feel the same way about both Sam and Sierra who could get blindsided. Even players like Aysha and Kishan I thought would surely get far but then...didn't and it's been AGES since that has happened. Almost after the first episode itself, you could tell EXACTLY who was going to go far with very little changes. Like in 41, you knew Shan, Ricard and Xander are going far, For 43, you knew Jesse, Karla, Cody, Cassidy and Owen are going far. The only times I was truly blindsided by a player leaving earlier than I thought are Kellie and Sabiyah in 45. This season it has already happened thrice! I am actually intrigued to see where this season goes and so far it only keeps getting better which is all that a season needs to be!
I understand having Genevieve low because she was underedited first 3 episodes, but with that logic Kyle shouldnt be as high as he is.. it would be unprecedented to have a male winner be this underedited by this point. (Chris U. is obviously an exceptipn)… while an underedited female wouldnt be unprecedented at all.

Narratively, I think Sam’s kinda doomed in the long run. Sam’s whole story going into the premiere was that he wanted to be the glue guy holding everyone together…only to be exactly the opposite by getting into “fights” with Anika and tearing apart the Gata majority, even getting into tiffs with Sierra as he strong-armed her into keeping Andy. We also keep having the Sam-Sierra duo getting brought as something that everyone sees despite them wanting to keep it a secret, and Sam’s already being brought up as a big threat on his own. Combine that with the fact that I think Andy could very easily flip on Sam, with keeping him being a mistake, and I could see him going very soon. At least with Rachel she has potential underdog upside with a solid recovery episode after the Anika blindside.
I feel like I’m the only one not seeing it with Sue. No doubt she has a great and very well rounded edit but it feels almost TOO big for a new era winner and reminds me more of Carolyn’s edit on 44. Actually, I find all of the edgic front runners this season to be too over edited and cleanly edited (completely agree with what you said about Teeny, e. g.) and feel like it may go to more of a dark horse this time, like a Kyle/Rachel/Caroline type.
Sue gets constantly undermined in the edit, "I'm cleaning up my tracks" as she tries to clean off the idol only for EVERYONE to find EVEN MORE DAMNING evidence that she found one especially for those that saw her with the red paint 😂
Genuinely feel like 45 is a vastly overrated season, in hindsight it's super boring watching the Riba 4 steamroll through the game with everyone else just sitting on their hands every week playing "pick me" hoping they'll be the 5th attached to those 4, I think the other seasons preceding it being so mediocre made it look better than it was with 46 really putting into perspective how much chaos 45 was missing
Teeny has the edit I want to dub as the Charlie edit. She gets a lot of silent camera time or commentary on drama that she isn’t the focus of. Specifically it reminds me of when Charlie was in tribal shaking his head during the Q drama where everyone was up and whispering.
Yeah Teeny's absolutely getting the same edit as Charlie with all of it being geared towards strategy talk rather than personal content while Sam's is closer to Kenzie's edit
I still just don't understand how she got on the show, she has no charisma and I can't remember anything that she said throughout the first six episodes
i am a big fan of once upon an island, so i am influenced a lot by his view of the show, but i do have my own view it is interesting to see your opinions, i dont think ive heard anyone other than you talk about the theme of the season survivor gumball also has an interesting view i would argue that anyone who has gotten 0 confessionals in an episode, or had their sob story in a secret scene has no chance to win and i think its also safe to say the winner is not a tuku member so that narrows down the potential winners from 12 to 6 Tenny, Sam, Sierra, Sol, Rachel, Andy i would put Sol at 6, he was my preseason winner pick, but all of his content has been about rome, so i really dont think he will make it much further the main reason he was my winner pick was because he wanted to play like gabler (my all time favorite survivor player) and he reminded me of hikaru nakamura (my all time favorite chess player) rachel would be at 5, she doesnt have any obvious sign that she cant win, but i dont feel like i even know who she is in the premiere it seemed to me that rachel had a good relationship with andy, and that at the next vote she would join with sam and andy to vote out anika i dont remember seeing rachel and andy together a single time after the premiere, and the scenario i predicted did happen, but with sierra in the place of rachel rachel has overall been forgettable and i would be shocked and disappointed if she won i have andy at 4, originally in the preseason he was my winner pick because he reminded me of austin austin was my winner pick in survivor 45 and i truly believe he is by far the strongest player on that cast and he also had the support of austin and owen, and i named my cat after owen and would have voted for him going into final tribal the reason i switched my winner pick to sol preseason is because i realized andy was actually stupid after i watched his preseason interview you can compare him to gabler, in the premiere he seemed like he could potentially get voted out, but didnt get any votes, and then was still talked about as a target by members of his tribe, but was able to outlast them, just like gabler, and he is being underestimated, just like gabler beyond that i dont think he has as good of an edit as the top 3, but i wouldnt be upset if he won at 3 i have teeny, she has gotten a good edit so far, but i think its more of a fake winners edit once upon an island often talks about her name being higher in the intro, but being slightly lower than dees name was i think her name being slightly lower is actually meaningless, but i think her name is higher because she is the fake winner i would expect her to do well on the season and be a major player, but most likely get voted out at the final 6 or final 5 at 2 i have sierra, she is sams sidekick, i would say her edit isnt as good as teenys but i think she is more likely to win than teeny im pretty confident that teeny is the fake winner, but i think based on the intro sierra is going to win firemaking, if she wins firemaking against sam she probably wins the season, and i think that is decently likely to happen at 1 i have sam, he has the winners edit, but that doesnt mean he will win i think he has all of the signs to look for in a winner he has the personal content about pineapples, he gets a lot of focus in the edit, his name is thrown out in ways that dont amount to anything as soon as the first 3 minutes of the season was posted online, i had a feeling that sam would win after the premiere i decided he was my winner pick and i would be very satisfied if he won
I don't get why people are putting Sol so low, he had a story of clashing with Rome and winning over, we are around the half way point so now without Rome they can focus on other parts of his story.
what other parts? that's the entire point- we don't know! his entire story has wrapped up by the F13, like are they just gonna introduce new things for him now? winners always have things set up very early on which Sol hasn't got
@@HenrysHavoc this latest episode gave us moments of connection building, he had that small scene with Sue talking about being the older gen of the cast and (yes while its about Rome talk) he's the one who was talking to Kyle who made this Rome vote spiral. Just like Gabler he helped get someone out around this time and can now try to go under the radar. Also your point of we dont see his other parts of his game unlike winners sounds way too edit/edgic based
@@awilk709 Yes it was Kyle vs Rome and I give credit to Kyle here too, but Sol is the one who helped with the fact checking. We know why Sol voted Andy we got the explanation of the need of a backup vote with Sam bringing it up to Sol. Which I wouldnt be surprised if we get Andy turning on Gata because of it. Sue is the more unexplained Andy vote but it could be same reasoning.

While I do think edgic wise she is overrated, i could see the argument that Genevie’s edit around the advantage points to her winning. Its very much like Sarah’s “attention to detail” thing, where the equivalent is “trusting your gut”
I have a theory that is pretty out there but I think the cast photo is predicting the bootlist of the season, you see how Aysha, Kishan, Anika, and Rome are all standing next to each other and they went out back to back so by this logic, here's the bootlist 12th: Rachel 11th: Sol 10th: Caroline 9th: Tiyana 8th: Sam 7th: Sue 6th: Kyle 5th: Genevieve 4th: Gabe 3rd: Andy 2nd: Sierra 1st: Teeny
Rome is the reason why I think no one from Red will win this season. He controlled the edit on that tribe so much that everyone else was nearly invisible for large stretches of the season so far. I could see Blue or Yellow, but I can not see Red win anymore.
Teeny's been unbearably present for no reason she was more of the narrative than Rome for the red tribe without question, Rome was the driver of chaos but that's about it
Once upon and island talks about how when looking into edits you sort of HAVE to take the intro into account when considering that Dee and Kenzie both had hints in the intro that they were winners… the 3 people with intro hints this season are Teeny, Sam, and Sierra
@@RedLemonCola he possibly did. There is a 47 engulfed in flame and then Sam’s name. Then there is a “sole survivor” figure standing with a torch. Following that is someone sparking a fire and Sierra’s name. It could be a hint to either Sierra or Sam, but there is weird editing in between them two unlike anything else in the rest of the intro
Rachel is going home this week I think. Her split tribal group is all 5 of the Tuku's. I know they have beef but I feel like they're gonna stick together for one more vote, this would give them 5 of the remaining 10 players. I think Caroline will keep everyone together, that has been highlighted in her edit this week.
Usually i agree with you for the most part. But these rankings are so far off from my own lol. I understand your reasoning but i think relying on the "theme" too much is clouding your judgement. Sol in last amd Sue in first is wild lol.
I completely disagree with Sol as the bottom pick. Especially with this last episode showing him being a key part of taking out Rome, how much he came across in the rome sol relationship as the good guy, and the conversation shown where Sam says he would rather lose Andy than Sol!
if you watch 41 especially her hour glass episode, Erkia like says like like every other word like really like really really likes the the word like like literally which i think hampered her edit a bit i think it took her awhile to learn how to take confessionals
They definitely showed Sue pushing away TK in episode 1, when TK gets back from the journey and asks to hear everyone's story Sue goes out of her way to say "I already told everyone that" and didn't feel like telling it again, how is that anything BUT pushing away TK? Idk how you're watching EVERYONE LITERALLY PIECE TOGETHER THE POT SUE BROKE TO GET HER IDOL and still think she's in a good position to win 😂 She's probably gonna make the finale cause she's not a threat to anyone in any way shape or form, only way I could see that changing is if they target her because it impacts someone else's position in the game
she could have got way dunked on in the edit with the pot but instead she always has chances to explain her side of the story and gets the last word in over Tiyana

Sol has no refular power, he has Sol Power :) Also imo his game practically reset. Rome singlehandedly shackled his entire game and now that he's gone, Sol could easily jump to the top of the list. I also think Genevive is way too low, though she's probably not winning, and imo Sam is an EASY top 1, his game till now was practically perfect. Idk about Sue, but I just don't see her winning... yet. Caroline has huge win equity potential though.
You're talking about players' winning chances based on editing tricks, but they players have no control over that. Focus on what they're actually doing!
agree with this video but here are my rankings 12. Gabe has a very negative edit and is way too overconfident 11. Sol is really under edited 10. Sierra is gonna be dragged if she makes it to the end by sam and doubt she'll win unless she makes a big move against sam. 9. Tiyana will probably get taken out by Sue and Caroline 8. Kyle feels a bit under edited and I don't think he will have the respect of the jury unless he makes a move 7. Sam I think he will run some of the merge until he is blindsided by Andy and Rachel 6. Andy who I think will become a big threat due to his blindside against Sam Now for the final five I think they will be a part of an all girls alliance. 5.Genevive I love her as a character but she is slightly under edited 4.Teeny I think might be on the outs of the girls alliance 3. Caroline I think she will make the final 3 but be overshadowed by another person 2. Rachel I think she will have a redemption arc and have revenge for Anika and take sam and Sierra out and if she makes it to the final I think has a good chance of winning 1. Sue so far has a very good edit and will probably run the merge along with Caroline and Gabe until Gabs underestimates her and gets blindsided by her Anyway these our my opinions and I can't wait to see the results
@@awilk709 I think she's a good player but I don't think she's a top contender to win. I think everything Meranian says here is pretty much right. She's a fun player and I like her but her first three eps don't make me feel confident she's winning.
