Jeff: Reveals letters from their loved ones that can be sold to anyone for $20 All people who have no money left due to spending it all on food: Darn it!! Leaves with a broken heart
Cameron Vieira Yeah Season 30: Worlds Apart was the last season they had the auction because apparently the cast were ‘gaming’ the auction and Jeff got all pissy about it.
Anyone starting a bid off right away with $500 for food is a terrible strategist. You basically overpay and close off any opportunities to get other stuff later on.
when you're hungry it doesn't matter. better than not getting anything which happens. id pay 500 for a whole roast chicken in that situation hands down
That’s his point, you could of paid less for the same thing. If it comes down to it, you’ll still be willing to pay 500. So either way you’ll get what you want.
It’s a shame they stopped the Survivor auction, it was mainly due to the people who only wanted to bid on the advantage rather than the food, which took the fun out of it. However I thought of a way they can bring it back. Jeff could announce beforehand that it’s only food items, nothing to help them in the game, no map to the hidden idol, whatever. Or better yet, have Jeff let them know beforehand that there is an advantage up for grabs in the auction, however he has hidden it within one of the other items, so if you want the advantage, you’ll have to roll the dice and bid on food items to see if it’s hidden within whatever you end up buying.
1:29 **500 for the whole pizza** 4:35 *next thing you know she’s crying because she bought a pizza for 500 dollars and didn’t get a letter* Me: **BOI**
if i was in a survivor auction, and jeff told me i could sacrifice my winnings for the tribe, i would be mad af. the survivor auction is all about being selfish, and if jeff gave me the option to do something for the tribe, i would curse him because i want to eat. saying NO to the sacrifice is always the wrong answer.
@@ragupastasauce371 Exactly, Jeff puts you in a postition where you essentially have to give up what you paid for to get stuff for the tribe. They pay nothing and get the exact same reward.
@Dylan Muir You can stay selfish and keep your food, then people will hate you and trust you less, and have less respect for you should you be in front of the jury. You can be selfless and provide for the tribe, then people will like you more and earn you jury points, which will make people want to vote you out. This is a lose-lose situation.
Survivor contestants are pricks. They want you to give them rewards, but they won't give up theirs. If you give them rewards, they'll vote you out because they were using you to be coddled, but if you keep it all, they're going to vote you out because they think you're a mean S.O.B. when in actuality they would've kept it as well. It's all about luck.
Wow the cd sets are expensive! Amazon Prime Video has full seasons for free (1-27) and Xfinity does some of the seasons for a little cheaper, like 11$ for the older seasons, the new ones I think are more expensive
2:51 Producers: "Jeff, you're entitled for a free delicious meal for this episode. Just pick any of the food we've got prepared for the auction and we'll swap that with the rice/beans dilemma." / Jeff: "I want pasta and meatballs" / Producers: "Ok, we're on it."
He's wrong about the monty hall problem. You're only supposed to switch if the host revealed one of the choices. Because then it's 50%, instead of the original 33%. It becomes two separate events.
Koxhie I am Of course I’m not on the show but I wanna be, My assumption is that they list their allergies and medical requirements before entering the show.
I watched the Danish version of this program growing up with my family every monday :D I loved it, but the American version (OG i guess?) is so much better! I wish i could watch them all, ive just been binge watching compilations last couple of days :D
Maybe this is a little out but damn brenda is soooooooo beautiful Edit: tnx for the likes guys I appreciate it even though there's nothing.... lolzzz xd I'm from the Philippines shout out to all the Filipinos there
So here they are! I was really sad I didnt get to see some islands in Caramoan because of Survivor Holland (i guess?). Travelled 13 hours just to see few. 😪😥
Andrew Smith- It’s still wrong though- Here are 5 reasons why: 1. Literally Brenda’s ENTIRE “strategy” is a pity party 2. All she does is going around talking about “HOW EVIL ANDREA IS AND SHE NEEDS TO BE VOTED OUT NOW!” 3. She may be sort of attractive, but her immature, petty personality kinda ruins it... 4. Is her brain mode of cow sh** or something?!!……… 5. At least Andrea can actually be reasonable and not try to vote someone out because they’re better than her......
I felt so bad for Renels. When he was told that he bought only one slice I wanted to cry because he looked like such a sweet guy and his smile was so bright and it was so sad
I died when Cochran mentioned the monty hall problem. I still feel like switching is bullshit and doesn't improve your odds but I guess the math says otherwise. What feels worse though? Having the right guess and switching to the wrong one or having the wrong one and staying with it. I'd say for sure switching from the right to the wrong.
This isnt even a monty hall problem, as jeff didnt show the coconut before the switch decision. Edit: So you are totally right in what you are writing. Since we dont get any information about any of them everything is up ta chance.
In this case, switching actually is bullshit. The Monty Hall problem is predicated on the idea that the host reveals one of the two options you didn't choose. When all three options remain concealed, your odds are the same no matter what.
Then you'd have to buy a gun at the next auction and bullets at the one after that. By the time you're able to finish yourself the game would've been finished.
