You saw babyface Miz doing heel tactics. You saw heel Drew acting like a good guy. Let's appreciate the fact that Triple H is adding anti-heel and anti-babyface gimmicks.
I was in the crowd for that. It was incredible. Randy Orton returns, CM Punk returns, Randy Orton hits an RKO on JD McDonald’s who was thrown off the cage. The women’s match was insane, the crowd was hyped. Wonderful PPV all around. 100% the best show I’ve been in the crowd for
I think the “Boston Crab” at the end was a nod to the nine time Intercontinental Champion that Miz was aiming for. Chris Jericho has that record and the fact that Gunther beat Miz with a Liontammer means a lot. They even mentioned him at the beginning of the match. Super happy of the IC championship scene.
@@levisamom5069 iwgp ic is basically like the world heavyweight in wwe thats why nakamura goes after the world heavyweight instead of the ic. jericho basically won the 2nd top prize in japan which is insane for a dumb american.
This is the best era, we're in it. Multiple stadium shows a year. Multiple overseas shows. The minimalist entrance is a huge sign of more people in the buildings, not just more expensive tickets. This is the peak, this is what Punk meant when he said Vince was a millionaire who should be a billionaire. "We can be the bands we want to hear, we can define our own generation. WE CAN ECLIPSE ALL THAT CAME BEFORE US." - Against Me! They've done it, this generation, from Punk, Danielson, The Shield, ect. to Papa H in that seat. They should be very proud. And they're not done.
One of the best PPVs of all time. Great matches, good buildup and many surprises. WWE has been killing it since 2022! One thing I’ve learnt since Triple H took over is that we can never trust that darn trademark logo, it definitely caught me off guard. I’m so glad I’m still a wrestling fan, what a time to be one!
Btw the ending of Miz vs Gunther's match was perfect to me because it told a story. Commentators were selling for weeks the fact that if Miz wins he surpass Jericho, and ironically he lost the match tapping out of a Lion Tamer.
This in my opinion is probably one of the greatest returns in wwe history, I still can’t get over the fact that both Randy Orton and freaken CM PUNK has finally come home. Easy a 10/10 for me, plus the way that Seth Rollins was pissed and flipping off on him was probably a work since I remember when he took to Twitter that said “ fight me punk “ after the heat interviews he said about him even Matt Riddle had also went to Twitter about punk as well, though it sucks we won’t see that fued.
Survivor Series 2023 was PLE of the year. Two Great War Games matches and 2 of the greatest wrestlers ever returned. This will go down as one of the most unforgettable shows ever 💯
Let me tell you about survivor series it was freaking awesome both CM Punk, Randy Orton, and R Truth returning to the WWE was epic and the war games was a six star classic!
And also, it was a different WWE back then, abusing Punk to work on days he didn't want to work, and doing so made him injured, and yet WWE didn't care and told him he needed to work. It's also worth mentioning that he never got a reward for said hard work, and so he left. Now? It's definitely better than what it was. Work environment, morale, quality, and safety. Hopefully Triple H can makenit work.
After Wyatt's death, 2023 had so many twists: release of Dolph, debut of Cargill, return of the Rock, Carlito, Punk, Truth, Orton, Cena, Nia, Kairi. Survivor Series was perfect way to end ppvs of 2023
Why does everything in wrestling revolve around a dead guy? I get that he was great, and he was an absolute genius, but it is time to move on. Life won't wait, we must go on
@@TopNoodlesno one said it's revolving around him, If u actually read it, he's saying that WWE before was a bit dry after the royal rumble or wrestlemania and then when wyatt died WWE started doing well (not saying his death helped WWE do well)
@@TopNoodlesthat's how the booking decisions of HHH have changed. Since Wyatt's death, we needed someone to fill that grief, then we got Cena on SmackDown and from there, everything was carried well by the superstars
Now that Punk is back, I want AJ Lee to return too. We could have Punk v Rollins and AJ vs Becky at WM, either in two separate matches or some sort of mixed tag.
Nah didn't overshadow it at all whatsoever. Thats made up bs. Randys return was awesome, he looked awesome, the RKO was awesome, the 5 way ddt was awesome, the finish was awesome. And most importantly they got a full victory celebration before Punk came out, he didn't interrupt anything. I turned the tv off thinking "holy shit randy is back and he looked fantastic, and CM Punk is back too"
00:01 Survivor Series 2023 is one of my favorite pay-per-views of all time. 01:08 Survivor Series 2023 had an incredible match with lots of action and surprising moments. 02:17 Survivor Series 2023 women's match was career-making and memorable. 03:23 The Miz's performance in Survivor Series 2023 was impressive. 04:26 Santos Escobar wins the match against Cito 05:28 Zoe proved herself but was no match for Ria Ripley in Survivor Series 2023. 06:30 CM Punk made his WWE return after 9-10 years. 07:47 WWE Survivor Series 2023 was a surreal experience Crafted by Merlin AI.
Imagine if Punk were the one to finally beat Roman. Do u guys think that would be a good idea or not? Let me know your thoughts, cause I think it would be insane.
I'm slowly getting my girlfriend interested in wrestling. We watched a section of survivor series together, particularly the women's war games match and on several occasions she went, "oh wow" or "wow, that was really cool". So awesome man and such a great show
Did anyone notice that gunther put the Boston crab on miz and turned it into a walls of jericho/ liontamer? Thought it was a nod to Y2Y as he was one of the greatest intercontinental champs.
This survivor series was amazing here. Really enjoyed it. Amazing match cards, energetic crowd, 3 GREAT returns in ONE night. Absolute stellar ppv here ♥ 🐀
When Damien Priest hit Jey uso with that Elbow in the corner after he beat everyone with the baton that elbow really connected I slowed it down on my phone you can tell Jey didn’t expect it to hit that hard lol
IMO CM Punk going to AEW was actually better for him, his image and career. He left WWE and joined UFC, he was known for his 0-2 but after AEW stint he's know as 2-0. Good for him.
I agree, i felt the same thing also. That lost fire came back when Randy Orton and CM Punk came back, I am now 22 years old and it's amazing to see these two in action back again. I wonder where they go from the Bloodline story.
*Best PPVs of the year:* Royal Rumble Elimination Chamber WrestleMania Backlash Night of Champions MITB SummerSlam Payback Fastlane Crown Jewel Survivor Series WARGAMES
Dragón lee didn’t get as much of a chance to shine that could have easily been the match of the night. Every time dragon lee picked up momentum and looked like he was gonna do something cool santos just stopped him in his tracks. I guess it made sense for santos to win because he’s in his villain arc but not gonna lie that one was disappointing /:
Bro, fr like took the word right outta my mouth 7:41 cause CMPUNK was my favorite wrestler AND STILL IS…but when he left in 2014 and came back to the WORLD of Wrestling it felt weird 🤷🏾♂️ but NOW IN 2023 IT FUCKING FEELS LIKE HES ACTUALLY FUCKING BACK, HE IS ABOUT TO SHAKE EVERYTHING FUCKING UP 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
I really liked the ending to Gunther Vs The Miz. Miz was fighting to tie IC Title reigns with Chris Jericho. So Gunther beat Miz with the Walls Of Jericho into a Liontamer.
He tapped out to the lion tamer Christ jerichos move. The man whose record he was trying to break. That was Gunther’s disrespect to him. I’m surprised people missed that, he put the knee on him and everything. 😊
I almost took a smoke break during Gunther vs Miz and they made me sit back down. Honestly, i think people are underrating it. I think it was one of Miz's best matches
JD McBurger got absolutely cooked from that RKO lol. Survivor Series 2023 will go down as a significant ppv/ple in history. CM Punk return will be interesting and i can't wait for his feud with Seth.
For story purpose Drew leaving and upset makes sense. If I aligned myself with a group to have a better chance at winning a title only for the two “leaders” to attempt to win that title instead of me, and to lose because of the group. I wouldn’t want to be around any of them after we take an L.
There were two signs of CM Punk's return: the PLE (Premium Live Event) took place in Chicago, IL (CM Punk's hometown), and the WWE Universe was chanting his name. Rather than having the WarGames match at Survivor Series, they should just stick with the traditional Survivor Series match and just put the WarGames match in a separate PLE.
What’s best about the women’s wargames match was the fact all them brought their a game just like the men’s wargames, Iyo sky was mostly the highlight of it I mean obviously.
-There was so many reasons for DMG CTRL not to lose -The three 1v1 matches were too short, Santos and Dragon Lee could have made a 30min banger. -More hyped about what's next, not this PLE
Personally, I think zoey stark got pushed too early in her main event run like heck I didn't even notice she was pushed after the becky and stratus feud, just probably a nudge at best, I think shayna should've been the one facing rhea in this ppv since shes more established, but i think after the rhonda feud it was clear wwe didnt think she was the way, especially since she took the pin in the 5 way match in saudi.
