And the sad thing is - nothing was done to that detective who basically tortured that guy. Only thing done was an apology. Lame. Hold people accountable. How many people have been falsely charged? I don’t have much faith in police anymore after personal experience of our local lame lame police department and from what I keep hearing of situations like this. $2.5mil is not enough for disparaging that guy’s reputation, causing PTSD that I’m sure he’s still dealing with, treating him inhumanely and delaying efforts in finding his wife when they were so focused on him. Trauma.

Want to hold law enforcement accountable. Then submit a complaint to the Solano County Civil Grand Jury. Google Solano County Civil Grand Jury online. The Civil Grand Jury is a watchdog organization that investigates law enforcement and local government misconduct. Then the Civil Grand Jury writes a public report about it that is publish for everyone to read. Then the attorney general, the DOJ, the secretary of state and other watchdog organizations hold them accountable. As for the apology. Law enforcement in that part of Northern California have done sick and evil things to a lot of people, families and children. Some of them get caught and never give an apology. Then they get promoted, obtain big raises and more employment perks. Never fired. Law enforcement doesn't know right from wrong. Law enforcement there is rewarded for being slackers, failing at their job and misconduct. If your upset about this submit a complaint to the Solano County Civil Grand Jury. The Civil Grand Jury investigates law enforcement and local government misconduct. Then the Civil Grand Jury publishes a report about it publicly that is seen nationwide. Then the attorney general, the secretary of state and other watchdog organization come knocking on their door, fire them, clean the swamp and lawsuits are filed against them. Anyone can submit a complaint to the Solano Civil Grand Jury's office. You do not have to live in Solano County in Northern California to submit a complaint to the Solano County Civil Grand Jury.

Sean Monterrosa, a 22-year-old Latino American man, was fatally shot on June 2, 2020 by Vallejo police officer Jarrett Tonn. Monterrosa was on his knees and had his hands above his waist when Tonn shot him through the windshield of his unmarked police pickup truck. The police later said Tonn shot him because he erroneously believed a hammer in Monterrosa's pocket was a gun. Monterrosa later died at a local hospital. (July 27, 2020) The police chief in Vallejo announced an inquiry into his department earlier in the week, saying he is "deeply disturbed" after a news report alleged that some officers in the department had bent their police badges to silently indicate they had shot and killed someone while on duty. The explosive allegations were first reported by Open Vallejo, which spoke to John Whitney, a former Vallejo police captain. Whitney, according to the report, said he was fired from his position after calling attention to unethical conduct, including the badge bending.

Problem is, 95% of the time the spouse is the killer. Cops just go with that statistic and try to get them to confess. It's a catch 22. I passed a lie detector test that I lied on so I don't give them much credulity.

Yes but you can just go from that principle and don’t do a proper investigation, even if that’s the path of investigation you, as a cop, are taking. You still don’t lock up a guy and interrogate him for hours and hours without any evidence., when he came asking for your help in the first place. You go look for that evidence. Even now in Greek with that horrible murder of the young wife by the husband, they suspected it was him, but they only interrogated him like this poor guy after weeks after her funeral, because they collect enough evidence. It is not a catch 22.

I would like to hear the court proceedings especially Detective Mustard who was only interested in what he thought happened VS doing actual investigating. He should have been fired for incompetence and pay restitution to the victims for the rest of his life.

People have it wrong. They think the police are out there catching people who commit crimes. That’s what they should be doing, but it’s not what they do. They do one of three things 1. Interrogate people to find out IF they’ve committed a crime 2. Find someone ANYONE that they can charge with a crime that they know about. That person doesn’t have to be guilty, they just have to be likely to get a CONVICTION on them 3. And this is my favourite, they go full vigilante. The ones that wont let you film them working, they’ll charge you with something, anything if you cross them and they have no problem flat out lying. Because they’re the police and you’re nothing to them, they are the law and you must fear them. A street level cop NEVER apologizes, only the paper tigers in the office do it for them. The chief said what happened to them was evil and he was right. He meant what the perp did but I mean what the cops and FBI did was evil.

What an incompetent police department. With out so much as investigating, this crime the department was holding a press conference accusing the victims. Wow! The city and the citizens of Velljo deserve better. What a disgrace to law enforcement. To think they honored Mustard. DISGRACEFUL
