Simple hardik can't be a puppet captain, Gambhir knows it very well . That why he appointed SKY. Captaincy farrago of Mumbai Indian was all due to Mumbai Indian management. They didn't have player and particularly Rohit on board for giving captaincy to Hardik . They didn't accepted him as captain.. because Bumrah , Sky has done all the work to be captain but outsiders got it . Now Gambhir must groom Reddy to keep Hardik in check ... We all knows Hardik has no replacement as of now .. he can single handedly disturb balance of team 👍

In my principle ..this is totally unfair on Hardik. I know even SKY can be a good captain but Hardik hasn't done anything wrong to sidelines him .

The guy who could barely perform in any high pressure game is being appointed as the captain. Interesting.💔👍

Support Staff? Please get an update

I as an avid cricket follower fail to understand the reasons for BCCI rejecting the names of support staff recomended by GG. After all the drama, let the ball remain in Gambhir's court. He should be made responsible and answerable for everything. This will be possible only if BCCI goes by his choice. BCCI must not display their diktat, let GG make a call and BCCI going ahead approve it. This limits only to his support staff not on selection matters which has to be collective with Selection Committee on a mutual consent.

Looking at the performance of HP in IPL 2024 in MI and the way HP captained GT in the first two years with the help & support of Ashish Nehra it makes me believe that HP is not hving the intellectual capability of becoming captain of a national team. Beside this, considering his past history ( read as interview in Koffee with Karan show), his pick & choose policy of playing matches, his current personal issues, his relationship with senior players , his attitude & his fitness does not make him an ideal captain. Gambhir cannot dictate his terms to Hardik so he has chosen Surya as captain as he has already captained him in KKR and secondly I feel Surya is not an egoistic person like Hardik & he will follow what coach advises him. Captaincy skill of Surya is in doubt though. There is no replacement of captain Rohit as of now.
