In Bulgaria the law requires a monthly notice if you are quitting. Some companies have the policy to require up to 3 months notice if you're going to quit and if you just walk out you'll be in big trouble. If you don't give the notice as required, doesn't matter if you talked with the manager about quitting, you will be disciplinary fired and nobody will hire you after that.
