I have been to these kinds of restaurants in Hong Kong, but mostly the children and kids would just tear the train and just take it from the rails, so sometimes not all 3 trains(we have 3 train ride tunnels) can come, at least one needs maintenance, so it's not that great and awesome as it looks like
Theres one similar to this in Chiba, JP. I joked to the staff "Does that train come all the way from Osaka?" The next time I went, they still remembered the joke and apparently it was a running joke that if the order was taking a bit, that it was because it was coming all the way from Osaka on the Mini-Shinkansen.
Vlad Olaf there isn’t one in Philadelphia. Most Japanese restaurant chains seem to be concentrated in the West Coast vs East. The only Japanese chain we have is Gyukaku, a Japanese BBQ place.
For us Singaporeans, we usually take that amount of wasabi and dissolve it into our soy sauce, so when eaten with wasabi and soy sauce it just has the right amount of spice and salty kick to your sushi.
I like natto. The first time i thought yeah no, not my taste but i tried again and like it now. Best way to eat natto is with green onion, mustard, soy sauce and rice and maybe egg on top
it needs to be loud beeping because genki tends to be quite full and packed, so people need to hear their food arrive. (it's only relatively empty now because of covid). but if you really dislike the sound, then i think you'd like sushiro more since they use a melody to alert you.
Not all branches have this beep sound tho. Some just arrive and stop quietly, then leave after you have taken all your food without the need to press the button as in the video to set off again. They have weight sensor on their trains I believe.
@@madeofcastiron Also, most only have 1 train in each lane. So they need the trains back a.s.a.p to serve the other customers, hence loud noises until they send the train back
@@fr4il464 I'm in the US-- These people don't listen 😑 And rn they just going on like nothing happening, and there is no fine for not wearing a mask. People who work in food places who refuse service to those not wearing masks get attacked too. So yeah, things aren't so well here
Temperature doesn't mean anything if you are an asymptomatic super-spreader of which they are 75% of people who can spread COVID-19. "Here is my last sushi of the meal NATTO MAKI" Me: Oh what a HORRIBLE way to end the meal but... Maybe he likes it??? DB: Oh dear, this is horrifying. Me: WELP.
I have try eat sushi in this place in my country, this have good quality sushi and our order come by train like that, but the table more private not open space like that
Thank you so much for making these videos and taking us with you on your culinary adventures. My kids love watching them as it allows them to see how and what other people eat. We actually found recipes for some of the things we've seen and made them. Some of them the kids absolutely love, others not so much ❤️️❤️️❤️️
I'm glad! Because no kid should make fun of others for what they eat at school. I recommend watching world's okayest mom. She made 2 amazing videos of them eating food around the world for a week. Let me know how it was!
MY GOSH!! Thank you so much for keeping the slurps in this video!! I had such a blast and it made me feel at home. I really appreciate so much and thank you for taking the extra time to put those in. AMAZING VIDEO!!!!
Hahaha when “natto” popped up on the screen, I knew you were in for a surprise! I’d assumed you’d tried it before- I haven’t, but I’ve heard that it’s a very strong and acquired taste, and that a lot of people (especially non-Japanese people) don’t like it at all. I hear it’s very good for you, but the strong smell and taste, as well as the weird texture, make it very hard to eat.
Lol, yes, natto is an experience the first time one tries it. The fermentation makes the beans slimy like okra. The smell hasn't seemed objectionable to me, and the bean texture seems dry. There are techniques that reduce the stickiness. The first time I tried Natto was at a friend's home in Japan. Her parents got a kick out of my attempt, and they were impressed that a westerner would try it in the first place.
Ark A.H. Natto is so good for your bones! Lots of calcium. When I was first diagnosed with osteoporosis I tried to eat this! I bought it at my local H Mart in the frozen section, came in little styrofoam containers, with seasoning packets. I ate it with rice and a fried egg for 13 days straight! Figured I needed to get used to it! I never ever did! But I gave it a good try! It’s certainly an acquired taste! I know just what it was when he said fermented beans! 🤣
I tried natto for the first time over ten years ago before I had "developed my palate" when my Japanese roommate encouraged me to try it with raw egg and rice. The smell wasn't so bad, but the flavor and the TEXTURE were a shock to my sheltered Western self. I have a personal motto though, "I'll try anything twice, three times if I'm not sure." Lol I'd definitely be willing to give natto maki a shot.
What an awesome place! I just have a strange question: how do you go about filming in restaurants? Do you ask them at the door if you can film? Or do you call ahead and ask?
I love these videos so much - my partner and I haven't gone out to eat at all since mid-March and this helps. I miss our local conveyor belt sushi place so much!! Next time I go we're gonna order everything.
I love how they are checking temps and everything.. I love the theme of the restaurant also.. I discovered your videos like 4 days ago and ive been binge watching! I love that I get to see new foods and read all of the details on how it tastes without having to hear the eating most videos I have to mute but not yours! I hate the sounds of someone eating but sometimes it's ok! Much Love from a USA Georgia girl☺☺
I’m surprised that you need to pay for that tea even though it’s free refill...in Japan sushi restaurant it’s always complimentary along with ginger pickles. And I’m a natto lover!
I love how different Asia is from the rest of the world . I want to make it my goal to visit Japan one day ! I’m currently trying to learn some Japanese I hope to go in the future !
Fun concept for sushi restaurant! I haven't had sushi since before the pandemic started. Your video makes me want to have sushi again. Thank you Dancing Bacons! 😊❤ Hope you both are well!
This restaurant looks really interesting. We have similar kind of restaurant in India (hyderabad). The difference is that it serves indian food and it's not a bullet train but a locomotive which runs on broad guage track in ur table.
I just wanna say THANK YOU for explaining what every thing is! I live in a tiny town and we have nothing like this, we only have two restaurants, huddle house and a cracker barrel.
I ❤ the hot water faucet concept for green tea. The sushi train is such a cool way to bring you food. A good way to make your food cheaper and skip having to tip a waiter :/
Makes feel content knowing that we have a restaurant with the same concept in my hometown of Calgary Quick edit: I made a review of the place with some pics in it on Google Maps if anyone is interested in seeing the place- the name of the place is Point Sushi
Violet goo.gl/maps/Z6PS4oCChDrQHPNw9 There. The restaurant is in the Eau Claire district of Downtown, facing one of the rivers flowing through town. Also @Aexerial I think I’ve seen you a few times before in S2LSOFTENER’s live streams.
This is so very cool! I love the train and race car that delivers the food! I think my husband would keep ordering food just to see the train and race car! Lol A kid at heart! ... It’s also great for people who want to left alone or don’t like being asked by the server if they need anything else and your mouth is full, so you can’t answer!
Food description: “The fishes are always pregnant, the yellow stuff is their eggs...” Me jokingly: Well, you babies killer you! Vegans: Poor mother fish, poor baby fishies 😢 DancingBacons: “But it was tasty..mmm”
Watching this made me so hungry. Lol! We have Genki Sushi in Hawaii with the sushi train, it’s so interesting to see how different the menu is compared to Asia.
@@CatToy626 Not true. Genki Sushi was founded in 1968 in Japan, was established as a limited company Genki Sushi Ltd in 1990 in Japan, and listed in the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 1991. Where do you get your "facts" from?
Hey DancingBacons. you know how okinawa has the fish markets where you pick your own seafood. Then bring it to a chefs stall to have it prepared. Are any of those near you? If so that could be a cool video. You select all your favorite seafoods from the market and then choose your favorite style of cooking.
He's in Singapore. There's many good seafood restaurants there. Just walk into a restaurant & order what you want. No need to go to the smelly wet market. The problem with buying your produce & handing it over to the restaurant to cook is that you must really trust the restaurant to use YOUR produce.
Today my Husband going with kids for this train in S Australia While watching it i was imagining as if they will be doing the same thanks for bringing this video
Ive been in these places before and i gotta say one of the best japanese restaurant experiences i ever had 1 thing you need to watch out for is that it is really expensive
