Austin Police did not name the suspect Tuesday night. Sources tell KXAN the suspect is Shane James, 34. Travis County Jail records show a man with the same name was booked into the jail at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday and was charged with capital murder of multiple people.

He is currently in custody and the bond was for a 2022 case in which he was charged with 3 misdemeanors. No Judge would grant bond on a murder suspect of this magnitude

No, Texas isn’t even the most armed state. States like Alaska, Montana, Wyoming, etc. have far higher gun ownership than Texas. Not only that, Texas got the biggest crybabies who will get a gun and pickup truck and feel real tough but the moment a real threat is happening, 80% of them will go hide and cry. And them whine about “don’t mess with Texas” and be dumbfounded on how such thing could happen in their state. Having a gun is one thing, being brave enough to do something in an emergency is another thing.
