It's good to see the judge not folding to the public defender. Like up north and out west where they release murderers and rapists with no bond. So glad I live in Fla. It seems that people here are still sane. Unlike the soft on crime prosecutors and judges across the country
I'm from Boston!!!!, i.e. from up "North" and I totally disagree with your statement!!!!! We have some of the toughest judges who will throw a massive bail on someone but we don't have the type of crime that we are witnessing here!! Don't get me wrong, we don't live in a paradise, but it's close to it as possible. Besides we work too hard up here and things are way too expensive, so we don't put up with this type of crap.🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪 that's the upside of having long Winters LOL
It’s easy to complain about how bad things are when you’re living somewhere that’s out of control, but equally easy to take it for granted when things turn around and change for the better. I’ve lived all over the country in a bunch of different areas, and as a Floridian can honestly say that our rule of law, liberties, access to public services when needed, and quality of life in general are unparalleled at this point in time. It’s a great time to be a Floridian. We cleaning up out here! 🌴✊
Sorry but Florida is a free for all. One drive on 95 anywhere south of Fort Pierce will confirm that as you get swarmed by 100+ mph drivers in all lanes. The cars speeding have never had an inspection and calling many of them "roadworthy" is a stretch at best. Red lights and double yellow lines are treated as merely a suggestion. There is zero enforcement. Ask yourself when was the last time you saw a speeder being pulled over on surface streets by your local sheriff or city police? Equally, look at the people like the guy shown in this video. They're en masse in Miami, Boynton Beach, Orlando & Jacksonville, leaving a wake of violence wherever they show up. They travel to more affluent, rural areas outside those cities to commit crimes so nobody's safe from them. Anything south of Palm Beach should be cut off and sent back to Cuba, hardly anyone speaks English down there now and it's become a cesspool of trash and crime just like the country they floated over from. Almost 1,000 people a day are moving into FL. Roads, schools, hospitals, grocery stores, etc. are not prepared to handle that influx so the citizens are experiencing the downsides to that; traffic, lack of services & supplies, and will continue to experience that for the foreseeable future. Sensible people have left Florida for greener pastures. But yeah, Florida is "cleaning up", lol.

If he did not have a gun and the two front seat passengers were killed on impact who shot the K9? Did the dog go after the moving vehicle? My daughter and granddaughter were both at the zoo when all this was going on, it was terrifying for them. They had to hide in a restaurant kitchen in the back of the zoo for three hours until they were allowed to leave the zoo! When this started no one knew if the active shooter was in the zoo or headed to the zoo !

I think this would be a wonderful opportunity to pause for a moment and give thanks for the great contributions of the black community to our society. Their peaceful and generous nature make them ideal neighbors, lending testimony to their exceptional family values and parenting skills unrivaled by any other culture. Real estate values are fueled by the mix of African Americans into an area due to their caring and respectful nature of these communities, an example of all they have achieved through their enthusiasm for self-improvement by hard work and a self-reliant can-do nature. Not to mention their tremendous respect for each other in addition to being fantastic role models for being great dads. And we certainly must not forget their abhorrence for crime and their dedication to observing the law. Without their industrious and creative drive, we would be poorer as a nation.
So true...I always make it a point of hang out in places where lots of them congregate, esp late at night. I find that I always feel safe and intellectually stimulated.

I guess Jacksonville isn't as lefty as I was led to believe. I live in the panhandle but had a cuz that lived there after his 30 years in the Navy. Good to see the judge set an amount comparable to what it would be here or another place I lived for decades. Is the state going to eventually charge felony murder due to death(s) during the commission of a felony?
