I do not understand people who view the issue as follows: Majority is bad and should be feared; Minority is good and should be embraced - all minority groups are sacred and morally superior to the majority. Most reasonable people think this as well, unfortunately, many unreasonable people are in power. As a reminder, rich people can always take a flight to some god-forsaken, tax-haven island and not have to deal with the consequences of their actions, like us plebs. CCTV won't solve the issue. The Netherlands has an insane amount of CCTV, but the police always refuse to show the images to the public. So first the culture inside the police force has to change. They have to start putting victims first and suspects last.
The purpose of CCTV is to allow the Police to identity criminals, not to feed useless public gossip. There's no purpose in showing images to the public, it would only disturb and hinder investigations.

Then if they don't come forward, after half a year or so, maybe the police will release the full footage of the suspects. But more likely they will have shelved the case and moved on.
