Just found and sub'd toyour channel. I spent many a day or night as a trucker listening to the oldies radio channel on a certain sat service and am so pleased to have found this marvelous material. Just listened to the 1st of the SUSPENCE shows and looking forward to more. Im not old enough to have listened to them back when, but i enjoy many of the old radio shows now. Keeping the commercials in is really a nice touch as it feels like im actually back in those days.
So I guess the dude died in the storm? The woman, we don't know. It all ended abruptly with no mystery revealed. But it was good up to the end. Crazy man, ok. I would have had him dancing to a dwindling crazy remnant audience then have him washed out to sea right from the stage. Have his wife attempt to save him but fail. Then have his body found on the beach along with the body of the country bumpkin amateur dancer, with her head hands around his throat. The parts where he is searching for her in the police station/firehouse could have been cut out.
Frank Lovejoy really can play the asshole when he wants to, can't he? He also has done some other outstanding Suspense episodes as well. But this story is a little disjointed and could have used some firming up instead of just fading away. Should have maybe been am hour drama?
