@mclottke "Hirasawa's live music is based on samples he activates with various hand-crafted sampler machines, pre-recorded tracks without vocals, and no regular backup performers. For the Solar Ray live tour, he used solar power and a power-generating wheel, inspired by bicycles, to power his electronic equipment." - quote from Wikipedia. Instrument/technical equipment... The wheel: technical equipment. The sampler: instrument.
crazy_horse susumu is the most no bs person in music, and he's a revolutionary really. With a strong individual conviction he has made music that is a tune of human spirit.
@mclottke Isn't an object defined by its immediate use, rather than its prescribed purpose? Take a section of copper pipe: if I use it in plumbing, it's a fitting or a "conveyance"; if I blow over it or slide it over the neck of a stringed instrument, it becomes a musical instrument itself (I'd like to follow up with an example of a "musical instrument" being used for another purpose, but I suppose they're quite specialised in design.
@hhhooorrrssseee would you explain a bit more, please? I never before saw such an instrument (is it an instrument? or just technical equipment?) ok i'm a bit late :), but compared to universe 2 years aren't that long :D thanx in advance
