first heard this in '94 on a cassette given by a friend on my first visit to Kanagawa. I enjoyed that album till it stretched and finally broke. it wasn't labeled and had no idea who the artist was so i searched you tube for years. now finally, i have found him and this song and the album...Aurora. thank you for this upload. =)
Since i found your post, I have been enjoying Hirasawa's music again. I agree, he is weird but its great that his art speaks in his behalf. These past days I'm immersing in "the double of wind." Amazing track as well. cheers! =)
Shirohige, it was desperate. On the search bar I typed Japan's best male musicians, 90's best Ja[anese male musicians that sort of thing. even searched Oricon compilations of the 90's. So each and everyday I spend a couple hours clicking this and playing that. That went on for a long long time till one day, for some reason, I just felt it. I felt I was gonna get lucky and true enough, one track had a familiar melody and tune.I found his name Susumu Hirasawa. And found this upload. I felt ecstatic and now I have this music to listen to while I work. Such a divine thing for me. I am forever grateful.
I first heard the name "Hirasawa Susumu" when I was in high school by the anime "Paprika" from my friend. His musical spectrum is wider than I expected and I like this song very much. It makes me calm.
That calling voice dyes the skies a vermilion hue The falling rain goes on for miles and miles It cries like an angel that fostered a thousand dreams in the silent night That voice That voice Those children standing like soldiers greet the days of suffering with the sun on their fists It sleeps in the faith that you will have a future In silent prayer it sings That voice That voice A love song that blooms as the flowers A love song that blows as the wind A love song that rises as the waves A love song that weeps for the people A love song that blooms as the flowers A love song that blows as the wind A love song that rises as the waves A love song that weeps for the people A love song that blooms as the flowers A love song that blows as the wind A love song that rises as the waves A love song that weeps for the people In the far off skies luck will be with you The rain glistens all over your body It counted out the woven days dyeing the skies a vermilion hue It calls out to you like an angel That voice That voice A love song that blooms as the flowers A love song that blows as the wind A love song that rises as the waves A love song that weeps for the people A love song that blooms as the flowers A love song that blows as the wind A love song that rises as the waves A love song that weeps for the people A love song that blooms as the flowers A love song that blows as the wind A love song that rises as the waves A love song that weeps for the people A love song that blooms as the flowers A love song that blows as the wind A love song that rises as the waves A love song that weeps for the people A love song that blooms as the flowers A love song that blows as the wind A love song that rises as the waves A love song that weeps for the people
I'm confused why you think this. "人に泣く" means exactly that. People that cry. 人 hito (people) に ni (particle) 泣くnaku (to cry) I think you're trying to localize it better, but in my opinion, this versions translation is alright. You'll never get English to be 1:1 with the true Japanese lyrics, and making the chorus an entire sentence instead of what literally translates to makes sense and sounds better to an English ear

Im glad i had came across this genius artist, my only problem is how am i going to find another similar musician, with the same skill as his which is quite difficult to be honest. Right now, there are only two great musicians that i truly admire, Mr. Wilson and Mr. Hirasawa, I'm glad they are still creating or taking part of music production and performance.
There's something about this particular song that I can't understand. Like a feeling that you can't really grasp but you still feel it. Like seeing the person you love walk in the same room you're in. But they don't know you love them.
This feels like a fiiting title for a scene in an anime, where the two lovers finally find each other again after they've fought and lost each others lover in a park or something. Sunset, a little chilly when the wind breezes. Girl waiting beneath a tree with a big crown and waiting while he approaches... ON A SEGWAY. Sorry...
There were 2 girls i adored. It took me many months just to get to know them both. However, in the end they had no respect towards me. I told em both in text messages,”I see how it is. I’m blocking and deleting you. Take care and farewell”. 😎
Woowwww!! Beautiful! Does anybody know where there are lyrics, maybe even an english translation for this song?? Also... Is Susumu Hirasawa singing this himself??
there's a 'sususmu hirasawa wiki' which someone has put together. Has background information about some of the tracks and translations of lyrics. Google the phrase in quotes! Good luck
Hirasawa wrote this song in response to the war in the middle east and how it affected children. I listened to this crying, thinking about how Biden is doing the same thing to those children at the border. It was after all him and Obama that built those cages.
* Feel the wind into your memories, remember when as a kid you used to run into the grass fields...* * Feel the warm of the arms of your parents around you watching the stars at night...* * Feel again your first fear as you see a big lazy cat...* * Feel again your first love in the kid garden...* Is it done ? Now listen to this song & Like if you feel each sounds fulfill thoses lost memories ... :) we are & we love, through the 12% of our brains mental capacity.
