Curious, why would the test leave the Pathfinder in Auto mode instead of 4H or 4L? I know that there are plenty of tests shown that ABLS in Auto mode reacts much slower than if you were in 4H or 4L. Auto mode is essentially just awd and is more for street driving as oppose to off road. It seems you put a handicap on the Pathfinder. You can see on the last test that as soon as it goes into 4L, it went up just fine. Not really sure what the whole point of this comparison test is if you don't have all the vehicles enable everything in their arsenal to attack these test courses.
@@SUVBattle well I have 1999. Honda HRV 4x4 (no esp, no locking difs, very basic system), but also looking to buy new Ignis or Vitara allgrip Thanks for reply !
Loving these videos! Such great explanations and clearly you know a lot about these systems to know to check things like ESP and other conditions that might affect the performance. Being from the US, I'm very interested in the Bremach! I heard about that a couple of months ago and am excited that we might get some more offroad-ready SUVs that the US has really lacked over the last couple of decades! I look forward to the next video!
Your channel produces the most comprehensive and informative comparison of AWD/4WD vehicles on the internet. The only vehicle missing from the comparisons is the iconic Jeep Wrangler. I’d love to see how the venerable Wrangler stacks up to other more traction control reliant vehicles. Outstanding work!
WHich country is this guy in? Russia? Or Australia? A lot of the cars on this channel aren't allowed in the US unless they are imported. But thumbs up for sure
nice that you brought the Niva and the Buchanka along :) ... sadly we don't have the Pajero Sport here in Germany... but funny enough the UAZ Patriot is available...
good video with many cars so you have done great work , i stay in gulf area so many years and i drive 2006 pathfinder and 2014 Prado in sand dunes when i come here in almaty as a final destination i drive 2014 Pajero sport as its the best of the three cars i mention - that's of course according to my experience between sand & snow and mud ,
Here in Colombia South America we have all the model on your video. The UAZ are considered unreliable and expensive compared to similar models. Love your channel.
The Lada reminds me of my dad's from '90-92 (I wasn't even 10 yet). It was two-tone dark olive green with light olive green top. I remember it being so loud and rough on the inside, but tough vehicle for the some of the bad roads we had in Mali. The smell on the interior just came back to me as I was writing this. Rubber and vinyl.
@@SUVBattle i know I’m being a bit ridiculous but if you can I would like to see (if possible) any of the Hummers, (if possible) Bentley Bentayga, (if Possible) Rolls Royce Cullinan, Maserati Levante. I know those are expensive but we gotta see their 4x4 system work off road for all that money, all new 2020 Honda Pilot with the “all new 4WD system off road ability”, Mercedes G55, Jeep Wrangler, Porsche Cayenne, Volkswagen Touareg, Lamborghini Urus, Cadillac Escalade, Subaru Outback or Forester, Toyota 4Runner, and of course Tesla Model X. I know some are very expensive and I know YOU ALREADY GOT SOME OF THOSE OPTIONS ON YOU PREVIOUS VIDEOS! But see what you can grab!
Без претензий, просто уточнить: УАЗ, вроде, не 21го года. Более древний. У новых есть ручки в стойках чтобы цепляться рукой когда влезаешь в него. Не знаю что на экспорт идет, но вроде у местных - так.
Great video as always. Interesting selection of cars. I live in Poland, but despite belonging to the Eastern Bloc until 1989, Soviet off-road vehicles were not (except for the military UAZ) and are not popular here. While you can buy a used Lada Niva in Poland, used "Buchanka" or Patriot are out of reach. Since last year, the new Patriot can be purchased in Poland. I do not know how the 2.7 engine does compared to the old 2.4 in terms of reliability and durability, but considering the price, it is the cheapest 4x4 based on the frame on our market. And worth considering as a work horse in my opinion - not only for hunters and farmers. As for 4x4 drives, you can clearly see the lack of sufficiently large wheel articulation in the 2206 and of course the lack of ESP in the Niva and 2206. Niva is the cheapest off-road car in Poland. It's not the purchase price (that is low), but the dirt cheap parts, unfortunately they are of poor quality. Such a car for DIY enthusiasts :)
I already have footage with Dacia Duster, Chevrolet Traxx/Tracker, Renault Kaptur, Subaru XV, Mitsubishi Outlander Sport/ASX, Nissan Qashqai and Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. Please be patient, as soon as the video is ready I will definitely upload it to the channel. Subscribe to not miss it.
13:45 NISSAN P10 Primera ATTESA! I love it! There had to be the "Primera GTI-R", not the Pulsar, because the Pulsar was too small, and the Primera is the successor of the glorious Datsun PA10 Violet (also known as Datsun 160J or Datsun Stanza), which won 4 consecutive victories (1979-1982) in Safari.
Great video as always ! Thanks ! You shoud make a test with a Land Rover , Freelander 2 is a very smart SUV , wihtout low range, but with amazing skills ! That will surprise you ! Best regrads !
@@SUVBattle Take New and old Defender in very wet muddy farm field, see if New Defender will come out of deep wet mud 🤔 My 2011 tdv8 Range Rover L322 NO good in deep wet mud (General grabber AT tyres) Terrain response system is NO good ,rear dif lock 🤷♂️ But my old 1999 Range Rover P38 VERY good in deep wet mud, no diff locks. General grabber AT tyres👍😎
9'000rpm for the Primera... Probably a bit of exaggeration since the SR20DE that powers this sedan is unable to exceed 7'000+. But nice work. We can see here the huge progress that the electronic systems of driving aids can bring.
@@SUVBattle It will be great to see some mid size pickups. Hilux, Navara, Dmax etc. And plus some Russian models as well. You guys are doing great work!!
Yes please show us a video of kia new kia sportage vs renault duster and few other vehicles. What if you add the old sportage ( like model year 2002) also please. Thank you very much for all the amazing interesting videos.
You are somewhat correct, The actual SUV version of the Frontier is the Xterra. The Pathfinder is meant more for street driving. The R51 Pathfinder, N50 Xterra and D40 Frontier/Navara are all based off the F Chasis, but the Pathfinder only comes with IFS and IRS while the other two have a rear SAS.
@@SUVBattle With the Jeep Wrangler 392 and/or Jeep Wrangler 4xe (part electric) and the Toyota Land Cruiser, 4Runner, Mercedes G550 or similar, Land Rover Defender or similar, Chevrolet Tahoe Z71, and I think that is it. 👊🏼😀💯
Really enjoy your channel and how you conduct tests is very interesting. Have an older Volvo XC90 V8 so hope to see how that one performs off road. Will be replacing the car this spring with either new XC90 T6 or Mercedes GLE450.
I have a video where I compare latest XC90 and GLE. You can watch it. Here is the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0H_UxhRXgec.html
My opinion is any good 4 x 4 SUV with momentum could make it, Appropriate tires for the specific road What worried me is the cars that overheat with these test ?? In a long trip they can broke the transmission or the engine
@@ilia6275 Sorry that I missed this. Apparently the version we are getting those loaded with leather seats, heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, blah blah blah. They have had a very good reception at the LA auto show. There’s a decent number of Americans that know that Russian off-road vehicles are really really good
I love your videos, I would suggest you add the RPM and Speedo guages when the vehicles are testing. Nobody does that for off-road videos and I think it will stand out
