You are really doing such a great job! I went to Korea recently and your videos helped me so so much! Thank you so much FYI : I loved SK so so much, everyone was so nice, place was so so beautiful Thank you once again for your lovely videos.. will keep supporting you ❤
This was a very helpful video! I visited Suwon in 2014, but because of your video I realized that I only saw a very small portion of it, so I'm considering making a repeat visit to Suwon during my upcoming trip. As you mentioned, getting from Seoul to Suwon is not straightforward. For several reasons I went astray several times, and I've become a bit paranoid about it. (On one occasion I was supposed to meet a friend there. I first found myself heading to Incheon, then I got some bad advice about which track the train would come from. Because of problems with my Wifi router, I wasn't able to communicate easily with my friend, and it ended up taking me FIVE hours to get there!) I don't know if you will be traveling from Seoul when you go to Suwon, but I think it might be helpful to devote a little time to telling people exactly how to get there. Anyway, I thank you for taking the time to create such a useful video; I've taken the liberty of providing a link to it on one of the Facebook sites used by foreigners traveling to South Korea. 감사합니다!
I went to Suwon in May this year. It was an absolutely fantastic day, so much to see and explore. For history lovers, you got this Unesco World Heritage site, a fantastic and so lovely walk, a historical palace, hanok village and great and charming local markets. Great spots to enjoy food and drinks. A huge plus for me is almost no tourists compared to Seoul, apart from the palace where there were Chinese groups. Definitely would visit and explore more if I visit S. Korea again. Strongly recommend
Thank you for your work! love Kim Ki-duk's films very much. It would be great if you made a video describing the places where his films were filmed (including Spring-Summer-Autumn-Winter and Spring again).
Wow! French man there. I was looking for new cities to know in South Korea (beyond Busan, Ulsan and of course Seoul). And i found you channel! Love your work, I hope you will share with us more things about life in south korea, vlogs, informations/ tips in others cities. :)
Thank you for this. Visited in May and enjoyed it very much. But not sure what you mean when you say there is no direct way to get there. It is possible to take Line 1 from (for instance) Seoul Station all the way to Suwon Station. (Takes a bit over an hour if I remember correctly.) Of course, you have to take transport to get from the station to, for instance, the fort. But, as you said, buses are plentiful.
We did the Suwon City Tour which is provided by the government (not sure if this is still running) but it included Haeujae/Mr. Toilet House - which was quite a fascinating museum.
I went in May ... excellent day trip from Seoul. I did not find getting there difficult at all, with a direct train connection that took 40 mins or so .
Thank you! It will be my first time going to Korea this end of September and early October with 3 of my lady friends. I will put this on my list for us to take a day trip. I would love to stay till evening to see the sunset and nightlights but how do you suggest we get back to Seoul at night?
Do you recommend going to the Korean Folk Village in Suwon? I have plans to visit the Folk Village in the morning via the free shuttle bus and return to visit Hwaseong Fortress in the afternoon.
I'll be in SK this September for 3 weeks. I was planning to go to Suwon quickly just to the sports stadium and back to get merchandise from a volleyball team. But I seems like I'll need to spend some more time over there. You said Suwon is not far from Seoul but how many km's are we talking about?
Hello, i have really big issue here. I entered Korea by applying through K-eta and it will let me stay with my father 30 days. But the issue is my father did a urgent surgery and he can’t fly back home until he recovers from the surgery. So it means we have to stay longer. What should I do in this case?
Oh no. I hope he is okay. For that I think you should contact the embassy of your country and ask them for the process. Contact the airline of your return flight and ask them for information. I think they can provide information for you! Hope everything works out and hope your father recovers well!
@@yourkoreafriend Thank you for your reply. My problem have been solved. The immigration office was really helpful and I just brought all the documents they needed and a proof from the hospital. They extended my stay 30 days more. Yay 😀
