@@WalkEastBut one correction I would like you to make: Suzhou cannot be called the Venice of the East as it has been here since the last 2000 years. The Grand Canal itself is 2500 years old while Venice is only 1700-1800 years old. Please correct that part of the video where you mention about Suzhou as an Eastern Counterpart of the Western Water City i.e Venice.
Thanks very much for showing us China through your eyes, since these scenes are not easily available in our news coverage in Europe. Definitely would love to visit China, and see its mix between modernity and tradition (I love the charm of traditional Chinese architecture).

Chinese cities are really impressive, they're sort of Neo-Tokyo from Akira, it's sad that Japan never could get this far due to its economy stagnation and lack of innovation among other issues.

I always like the pace changes. You often walk leisurely when no one is around, but when in a crowd you'll walk quickly to get clear of it. Which is exactly how I walk, but I'm not filming I just wanna be away from people haha
Generally speaking, Suzhou is a city that lacks an urban feel, because the starting point of its development is the industrial park and the gardens in the old city.
As a Canadian, I suspect American 1st Amendment auditors are envious of the fact that you don't get bothered by the police for filming businesses from public sidewalks and inside the business as well. That giant electronic screen in Suzhou Times Square is incredible.
It's truly an beautiful city. One day, I hope to visit Suzhou. I noticed a lot of cities in china have massive amount of security. Are those officers or security? There massive amounts of them in jinji lake area. Was there a protest around Jinji lake area?
