Suzi is my cousin, met her during a family reunion when we were about 6 years old. We spent a large amount of time then playing and hanging out. She was a great young girl. very talented.
Classic Rock from Rock's First Punk Chick...first girl to ever front a band who lead the band playing bass...50 million records later...Suzi Quatro still tours...and rocks the house...hard...

AVportau Guilty. Love her, and her.music. The.first album with can the canI saw at a record store in Hawaii. I could not put the album back her eyes burned in my mind. I was in the army. I was 23 on the last Military draft. So in 1972 I enlisted for 3 years. I got to pick were I went. So, to Hawaii I went. I did not want to go to Vietnam and be accursed of Bering s baby killer. I am From San Rafael, CA. 30 miles from San Francisco. in 1968, I was 15 years old were the world changed. I lived near the center of social change. With the underground FM stations. KMPX, KSAN, and KSJO fueled the fire for change. After that, college FM radio took suit, which went nation wide. Change through music, sounds funny, but it is what happened. FM played music with different cuts, whole albums and broke the 3 to 4 minute threshold that AM had. This changed everything in music the different cuts, the longer songs really helped music. We heard all types of music. This helped the groups and singers write and preform, thus, people were buying at more. The artists were finally making more money, and make better music. I lived through it all. Concerts? I have seen more concerts than others. It was my location to San Francisco that matters. Back to Suzi, She is a powerhouse. I have all of her records. Sadly, I never seen her play. In Europe and Asia, Australia, she is a superstar. But NOT HERE IN AMERICA. God, I wish I could see her play. She has ton of albums and 100s of SONGS She is from Detroit. an American. I don't know why she is not a SUPERSTAR here in America. She has all the stuff a star needs and has. For GOD'S sake, find her on this site. So many great albums and songs, why would you skip over her SONGS, I can not pick out which of her SONGS I would like over another. I guess you should start with "LOVE TOUCH" and go on from their. Maybe a song. from her. first, "CATSIZE" (album). Please people, give her a chance. It would make me happy if some of you liked Suzi Quatro. Last item if you like her PLEASE recommend her for the Rock and roll hall of fame.......... She deserves nothing less. OK,. Keep listening to good music. People keep rock and roll alive....... dave in Sierra vista AZ.
THE first album I bought in 73 or 74. It came with an iron on transfer. It had " SUZI" on it. That was a nice surprise since l love Suzi and bought all of her albums. Wow, an international SUPERSTAR and America hardly knew of this Detorit star. She had a hit in America, Stumblin' In, and was on Happy Days for a season. that's all America knew, when overseas, Suzi is a SUPERSTAR in Europe, (east and west), Asia, South Africa, Australia, and other countries. She has over 10 albums out and hundreds of songs. She should be in the Rock and roll hall of fame. She is that good. People, spread the word. about her. She has been singing from 1973 to today. For Suzi, Recommend for the Rock and roll hall of fame. It is the least you can do....... dave in Sierra vista AZ
Hey! I'm on this video after about 2:18 next to my brother in the audience. It's from a fantastic gig in Strømmen, Norway (!) some years ago. Always liked Suzi (at least her first two albums....).
Born in the world of a fifty-dollar dream Tailor-made coat with a straight back seam Just can't resist the twilight life of a queen Takin' pocket money givin' shady secrets back Soft-spoken sillhouette is part of the act Mother's undertaker wouldn't dig you a hole in the wall [Chorus:] Glycerine Queen fightin' hard to win Glycerine Queen, Glycerine Queen What's the matter, Queenie, Won't they let you in? Glycerine Queen, Glycerine Queen Five will get you ten here on the prowl again Put your pot of gold in the lion's den Your parasite mind ain't the truly respectable kind Your life-style past is gonna get you soon Spend a few years in a padded room A book full of blues, bad memories to pass the time [Chorus] We all laughed at the Glycerine Queen We all laughed at the Glycerine Queen What's the matter, Queenie, Won't they let you in? [Chorus]
This has always been one of my favorites from that album. Great to hear it again. Another excellent job of putting the pics together too! Especially the Alice Cooper shot and her on the hood of the car with Len Tuckey. Good stuff.
Suzi must get into The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. It would be a tragedy if she doesn't. They don't deserve to be called "Rock N Roll " if she's not in there.
wow her music look and style reminds me of a mix of joan jett and cherie currie! even though she is of course joan jett's sort of role model, her rock n roll queen ! she came first - the mother of rock though i have to say i prefer the runaways to her and her band!
¿sabéis alguno si Suzi Quatro fué la autora del grito WASSAAA de los moteros? ¿o era anterior? Porque ella lo soltaba siempre en sus actuaciones desde luego...
bad bitch'' play the shit out of a bass, even back in the 70s dudes even me had her album and wasnt ashamed of shit either'' she was cool'', still is '', she's from my generation so ,def, so this song was in regards to tina turner . noke cleveland.
Yeah... I think so. Same with the Sweet. I used to wonder what that Champman print was all about on the label of those singles in that era. Coz it was on the label for different artists and that's all you got. RCA/ Chapman. if I remember rightly. Glycerine Queen: Quite T rex-ish. Could have had Marc Bolan on that one with different lyrics. :-)
This is one of my fave original songs by Suzi and Len. Check out my version of it here (sorry the sound is pretty crappy): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_cD2X9V2koM.html
Oliver Space I don't put people down because their spelling and grammar aren't perfect. English may not be their first language, they may be dyslexic, their education may have been remiss... there's a hundred reasons why I don't equate intelligence with excellent English skills. OP was making a point from passion, I'm not going to dampen his enthusiasm because spells a word incorrectly.
+Kit Tona Who is putting him down? I just can't understand bad grammar. And if they're dyslexic, or don't natively speak English, that's a different story.
