Suzie Gangi, a mother of two, suffered a rare spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) heart attack at age 32. As a Go Red for Women spokesperson, she wants to spread awareness about SCAD and let people know that heart disease can happen to anyone at any age. Originally published in 2015.

This is frightening and as an experienced RN (but not in cardiac) I can understand why the ER nurses felt as they did about her. But I learned long ago that what seems unlikely will happen to a patient and we as nurses better believe it! When a patient tells you they’re having a heart attack THEY ARE until clinically proven otherwise!!! Listen and believe!

I m living in belgium i am 40. Just have the same thing. With à newborn baby... It is really difficult to don t know what about the future

Pregnancy puts a strain on the heart and a friend of mine qualified for a heart transplant after her second baby!! She had no history of heart disease,

One of my friends said that they were envious of those in their twenties as apparently they have the whole of their lives ahead of them and I had said how its not guaranteed that those in their twenties have their whole lives ahead of them as someone I knew died of cancer when they were only 27.

I just had a stemi heart attack last month my home health nurse had to call EMS I know that some thing was wrong with chest pain cold and sweaty EMS took an EKG and sure it showed ST elevation the rushed me to the hospital I don't remember nothing but I was told I went right to Cath lab the found out that my main 2 ateries was 100% blocked woke up in ICU still with the external defibulater on my chest

I had these symptoms 4 times over and the hospital didn’t think it was a heart problem at all ..

I hope it never happens again by MAKE then listen and examine you immediately. You will have to.

I had blood clots in the lungs back in 2017 when I was 41 and everyone says to me how did you walk into a and e seriously ill? I had got the bus and had dragged myself up to a and e!
