Bill, rewire your bow & stern lights to your accessory battery instead of your starting battery. This way you can fish all night long and you won’t run your starting battery down. 👍
I am loving these Suzuki’s. Nice looking motor, reliable good warrant. Ahhhhh the Japanese. Ya got to love their work. Well……. except for the Pearl Harbour incident. But I think they have seen the error of their ways. 😅😂🤣
Very quiet too! I need to get me a troll mode switch too. I have no room for a kicker and I’m heavy current my trolling motor is useless. I missed a good Walleye opportunity once because of fast current!
They are all pretty good these days. I know someone with a Mercury 150 with over 2000 hours on it. If you look at saltwater guides a lot have moved to Suzuki's.
got mine finished breaking in yesterday evening and topped out at 49 with very high rpms 5800ish. was very pleased with it as ive always heard suzuki was the least powered and torqued of the outboards @@TNRVG
@mit3000gt95 Absolutely not true. Suzuki's are the highest torque'd motors. They are the only engine that can run a 2.5 gear ratio. That much torque + the 2.5ratio allows them to spin upto 16.5 inch diameter props. Run a 16x 24pitch prop on a 150 Merc and it would take an eternity to get on plain...
46 is the most I have seen in perfect conditions (5400 RPM). 44 is normal top end and 38ish is the cruising speed (~4500 RPM if I remember right, maybe less).
@@TNRVG what prop you running there bud? On my merc 150 right now im currently running a 4×14.5×23pitch mercury fury 4 blade. Got 49mph on my gps.and with a 3×14.5×21pitch i got 51mph. My rpm gauge wasnt working right from the begining. Its an analog gauge.
@@TNRVG im on my 3rd year on my merc, just do maintinence and keep on riding! I also work my motor hard! Pull home log rafts. Most logs i dragged home was 23 logs. Run it hard rn im currently running a 23pitch fury 4 blade.
