Talking about Suzuki's run of early king Quad's of the 90's right up to the early 2000's and the pro's and con's of this smaller cc Utility machine. In my mind, one of the best small cc quads ever built.Enjoy!!
I love taking my 2000 300 quad in the mountians, i love to take my time and look at the natural beauty of the mountains, the 300 King is slow but i like the speed in the mountains, I don't like rushing through the mountains when i ride, i think it ruins the riding experience and the relaxing feeling you get when you are in the mountains, great work horse. 😊
I used a friends about 30 years ago and I’m still blown away the places that could go in super low. No trail and just climb upon alders and reverse and climbed again and folded em over and continue through the bush like that. NL Hydro used these when they 1st came on the market and the guys who recently retired had all the models over the years and they all say those 300 ‘s are the best.
Just picked one up just because of everything I've heard. Got it off someone who didn't know what they are doing. No plastics really bad shape. Finishing restoration today! Can't wait to run it this weekend
Haha, I care about fuel consumption because I don't wanna run out of gas on the trail. As an owner of a 93, I can say she gets about 20mpg in a varied trail situation. Including hills, bogs, groomed, snow, and gravel. Nice video and I agree. Amazing pieces of machinery.
Bigger definitely isn't better in a lot of cases. If I need to work the KQ 300 in really boggy, wet places, it's possible to actually lift it out of the muck by hand if it's badly stuck. I wouldn't have a hope with my other bigger quads. Great little machine.
Bought an Ozark which is close to this. I had no idea how good the thing was until I started riding it. Omg with the king quads tires, my baby crawls over anything. I the 5th owner. Crazy. I think it's all original other than tires.
Can never go wrong with Honda, they just seem to be real slow at introducing new products and upgrades.I've just always liked slow and pokey, pure utility and the king quad does it well. Thanks for watching.
Great vid dude . I'm off to look at buying a 96 king quad 300 tomorrow . You have inspired me just hope the bikes sweet . Cheers from New Zealand 🇺🇸 🇳🇿
I just picked up a 2000 kingquad 300 4x4 for $2500 and I love it. Those levers are so cool I think! It had 520 miles original on it!! These things are awesome
I have the 250 quadrunner and its just an amazing atv. I have pulled out several big moose with it in sweden and finland. I just replaced both rear drive axles on mine. Those aftermarket u-joints breaks constantly. They cant take any load at all. Now its holding up greate again 👍
I have a buddy that rides with us on a 1990 Yamaha moto 4. And he keeps up. Or leads sometimes. You can’t go fast in the trails anyway. So I wouldn’t hesitate to ride with someone with an older atv. I like looking around and enjoying the ride. Love the king quads. If you ever want to sell yours let me know thanks.
I almost found a decent one a couple months ago for $1000 bucks, couldn't get it in time. But I will agree, those older machines are true work horses. The Kawasaki Bayou 300 is another good one too.
I have a 88 and 01 king quad. 1998 quadrunner, all 4wd. They are all great bikes. Did not pay over $300 a piece and all the plastics were good. Never seen one as pretty as yours though.
I just traded for one recently. It wasn’t running i went through the fuel pump and carb and it runs like a new one again I’m loving it they really are little tanks
I am getting a 99 tomorrow and they are great bikes you can even move the radiator and get a additional cooling fan for plowing these bike can get a lot done
Lucky you. They are ATV's and like any machine usually beat to shite. When you find a gem like yours, you got a nice little work horse.thanks for watching.
I wish I could find something like that or a Yamaha Big Bear, they were a 300 or 400 I can't remember now but they had a real transmission(gear driven). They are still running somewhere, unless a kid tore it up. They only sold for around $2,500us. Once you get past a 400 the machine gets so big it might as well be a side by side. Nice if you need all that power and size but to use around the house or hunt you don't need all that.
There are still lots of good, old school machines around.I've seen several nice clean units. The honda fourtrax is a great old machine to have a look at.Any older japanese machine, all good stuff. Thanks for watching.
You'll be waiting a while.Machine needs a carb change too.But our weather here is wildly out of control, working in plow sand truck everyday.Taxpayors first, then the dog, then youtube.
Back in 2018 I found a 1996 KINGQUAD original owner with 275 miles on it. Best $3400 I've spent. Did those mirrors come on yours if not were did you get them thanks
I believe they are factory suzuki mirrors on my machine.Don't quote me on that, but,i would think any bike mirror of that thread pitch should work nicely, thanks for watching.
Check your linkage between shifter and trans if your into a range issue. If you only move in low range, yet the other ranges work,Id be looking into clutch issues.
