Suzuki Boulevard C50 2007 Cobra Classic Slashcut Exhaust Sound with acceleration flyby.
This is my recently acquired Suzuki. I had looked at hundreds of videos and most of the good sounding exhaust sounds to me were the Vance and Hines clash cut staggered but no longer made. Every other exhaust seems to sound too high pitched and tinny or hollow like blowing in a bottle. They're loud but don't sound good to me. I found only one video of this exhaust that seemed to keep a deeper tone (bigger cans on the end with some baffling seem to keep the deeper tones) and it is by Foggy NZ which made me get this exhaust. • 2005 Suzuki Boulevard ... I got it from cycle gear for $413.00.
I had the stock pipes with 4 3/8 inch holes drilled in before install which also sounded pretty good and I was happy with but I also wanted a louder set with the ability to always switch back if desired. I did not have an O2 sensor on my stock exhaust so the only thing I did was remove the stock pipes and install the new pipes. I do not have a fuel tuner. I don't have any backfiring. The stock pipes actually had more noise when decelerating which I did like but it's a good trade off. I'm happy with these pipes and they look and sound great to me. Hopefully this helps someone else buy this exhaust which does't appear to still be made and I think it sounds the best from all the videos I've watched.

Thanks for the video man, I’ve been hunting down a good set of pipes for my C50 and you may have sold me on these.

Hi, I'm very happy with these. I think any less restriction (these have non removable baffles though I'm sure you could drill holes like I did with the stock exhaust) and it would take away the deeper tone. Not too loud at idle either. Just when you crack the throttle above maybe 20% it adds good sound. Any other exhaust seemed louder and higher pitched. Seems you can get those at any time, anywhere but this exhaust is harder to find and well worth it if you can find it. Also less expensive I believe.

I’m thinking of getting a c50 as a first bike I definitely don’t want a crotch rocket.

Hey so if I put these pipes on I don’t need to tune ?

No tune is needed for these. No change in performance. These are for sound mainly but they're not super loud like most other hollow sounding bolt on exhausts for this motorcycle.

Where did you first drill holes? Looking to make my 07 C50 louder without spending anything yet.

Hi, sorry for the late response. Did you end up spending anything? I from memory, I drilled four 3/8 inch holes around the center exhaust hole on the stock pipes. Pretty much right in the middle between the outer edge and the center exhaust hole. One on top, each side and below it, kind of like the shape of a cross with the center hole being the stock exhaust hole. Someone mentioned if you don't like it you can always plug those holes up which you can many ways such as JB weld coins or small washers over them and repaint them black. If you search you can find some videos of people doing it to this motorcycle. I would not drill any more than 4 on each pipe as it could begin to sound too hollow or you might as well remove the whole baffle and then you would sound like an aftermarket exhaust. 4 holes also gave me enough volume and also keeping the deep bass tone and yielded a nice deceleration burble that I lost with the aftermarket pipes though they are louder and still sound good. Saved a ton of weight. Stock pipes are really heavy. If I did drill additional holes I would 1 at a time in a smaller diameter and see how it sounds. Although, since you can plug them back up I guess it really doesn't matter.

Did yall take baffles out

Nope. There are no removable baffles on this exhaust. Bought the exhaust and bolted them on right out of the box no modifications.
