Haven't watched all the way through yet, but your set up is already way easier to see than some of the other fa50 videos on youtube. I got a fa50H from my mother recently and I've been wanting to go through it completely before putting it through it's paces
i just got an 82 fa50 and i have no clue what im oing so thanks for the vids. you said the intake is ridiculously small and thats what was limiting it, do you know where i could find a bigger intake thats compatible?
well, it's a combination of things that limit it but the intake is tiny but really you'd have to unrestrict quite a bit more - different exhaust, different carb, different cylinder - www.treatland.tv/SearchResults.asp?Search=fa50+intake

I was going to try to put it on a Honda Express frame but I'd have to get an exhaust, CDI, etc. Right now, I'm going to put on new rings; see where the piston clears the exhaust port; maybe do a spacer if needed; boost the compression; check the stator; replace some hardware; and maybe open up the exhaust port and/or intake ports. And clean it up. and then we'll see what will happen after that.
