hi guys, just as you requested, here's my review of the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 BS7 where I give you a quick overview of the bike, what's new, and also share my quick ride impression and top speed run.
I had Mt-15, and now i am having SF250. Man it's one of the coolest bike where chapris not thinking of buying. It's good to be underrated.because i can see only few sf250 on the roads,
There you go.. I love it overall but then there's this unique reason I love it even more. You don't get to see another guy on red light with the same bike. I feel sorry for MT15. People fail to understand that chapris but all these expensive bikes from pre-owned market, MT15 Duke's and all KTM machines are the from a group that requires a lot of care and maintainance, people buy all these and then get agitated for the maintenance it demands , eventually selling it to these chapris.
@@AutonationInc nah. I sold MT because of high windblast and not enough power. I still have R15v2 2013 model. If i ride r15 i don't get tired but if i ride mt i get tired because of windblast. So i sold that and bought gixxer because this is the only sports bike with good pillion support. About to book rr310 but because of back seat i bought gixxer. But this bike is really cool btw.
@@pavankumaraakash people were telling that service is worst, i haven't faced any issue till now. And mileage u get around 35kmpl average. Vibration is there not too much.visor is useless, i bought face mask from one custom seller. I would suggest go for a test drive whatever bike on ur list. Don't go with reviews.
Bought this bike in November 2022. Great bike. No complaints till now. Great in commuting and has enough power (27ps almost) to give you the thrills. The engine too is super smooth.
Same here.. I bought it last year at Ashtami, When you open the gas in a good tour you get to know it's overtaking capabilities not to forget it's smooth af in 6th gear and pulls like race horse. I extract a mileage of 32 - 37 KMPL depending on how I ride. I recently did a 217KM highway run and rest in the city. 140 KMPH max, avg 75 KMPH in the city.. which it goes pretty quick and smoothly and is still in control. I love it. The most annoying part of the bike is mirror, there's just no escape from it.
@@AutonationInc I also found the windscreen to be a bit small but it's no surprise. But there are plenty of aftermarket solutions for that. And I reached a top speed of 153 kmph 🥹
One of the best, reliable, and excellent tractable 250 engine, gem of a performer. One needs to spend time with this machine to know how this to thing performs. Sadly, people are stuck with NS 200, RS 200 and all the other garbage in between.
its a Asian version SOHC oil cooled engine NO DOHC liquid cooled and slightly over priced. the global version is same 250cc Liquid cooled DOHC and a different instrument console, to reduce cost further they launched this intermittent version for a taste. buyers today are very smart . and its very outdated missing most of modern tech
@@phantom2k858 What do you expect, a jet engine? C'mon man, get a life.. There's a reason why your granpa tech is still reliable than today's electronic infested garbage. 😆
@@snoopdeckin But this still makes slightly more power, compact and does everything well than the twin. It's slightly over priced yes, but you pay for the quality of components used when you compare it to a Bajaj..
@@thatonerandomguy9764 I don't want sports tourer models. They take away the character of the bike and don't have a place. Just like crossovers and compact SUVs and compact sedans. They don't have character and look quite odd. If only Suzuki made the bike like R15 ergonomics. It will sell like hot cakes.
Brother subscribed just now, watching ur channel for a long time never care to subscribe, one of the culprits till yesterday not anymore. U deserve millions, Love from Kanyakumari.
Suzuki can do more with this. Add modes, make it more fast. Add some features like usd forks, led indicators, the way they had crafted the tank is awesome but the fairing now looks dated
Bro please excuse me if I'm wrong, Those bikes (Bajaj cruise 220) are not so reliable on long run and they miss out the value for money proposition. That is why Bajaj launched f250/n250. Even then we Indians are still clinging to those old unreliable, outdated engines. Take a look at new p150, no one are buying it since it's introduced... all want to buy the same old pulsar 150 dtsi. Our thinking should change with time, Bajaj done a huge r &d after tying up with ktm and launched new bikes...but we are not supporting them and we are asking them to give us the same old vehicles, instead of newly released f250/n250.
Like the bike your review also very smooth brother. I always like the content you prEsent which in your own style. Keep it Up. I like suzuki as u said its unnoticed by many. If an engine is rEv happy and vibe frEe in rEdline and thats the engine tO live witH
Great content as usual.. I bought it last year at Ashtami, When you open the gas in a good tour you get to know it's overtaking capabilities not to forget it's smooth af in 6th gear and pulls like race horse. It is actually, once you start living with it you realise it's very friendly. You don't have to make alot of efforts in any areas. Great mileage, and it's smooth af, excellent parts quality and fit and finish is exceptional. All these are Japanese character.
I bought this bike Pros: 1.Excellent torque producing engine, very good power as well. 2.sharp cornering can be done 3.Excellent fuel efficiency 4.stylish looks, good Led headlight 5.power is very linear and enjoyable Cons: 1.aggressive seating 2.its a small bike 3. Very bad wrist pain when driven long 4.dome is lower set so very bad windblast 6.vibrations in the pegs and handlebar in higher rpms nearing red line
I don't feel low end power in this bike. Might be some issues..need to check in service center..also I hear some chain noise. Just completed 3k odometer..
I just don't understand why this bike is so underrated. The R15M in Nepal costs almost 6 Lacs (NPR) while this motorcycle (BS6) costs 5 Lacs (NPR). At that point, its almost a no brainer, and yet people flock towards Yamaha YZF r15 instead. The SF 250 in Nepal costs less than the Dominar 250, the Duke 200, and the naked version of Gixxer 250 costs less than the N250, even. AND YET. They don't get the Suzuki motorcycles. The dealerships are well established, you see the older 155cc Gixxer with the halogen headlamps all over Nepal and yet, the new Gixxer 250 and SF 250 both are nowhere to be seen.
looks definitely matters. If they change the design of the front end to more aggressive ones, definitely people will start buying it. Most people aren't willing to buy a decent looking bike with great performance but instead they want a great looking machine with good performance.
Because of the bland color on the fairing. People want their bikes to be noticed and they don't even bother to offer glossy color options or good graphics. The tail light looks amazing but the rest of the bike is just meh. Also the clutch is pretty hard on gixxers they could add slipper clutch as option. Whoever is taking the design calls at Suzuki is ruining it for them.
1. Slipper clutch (Current one is slightly hard create some pain in long traffic) 2. Ride connect app is clunky and won't work at times 3. Seat is bit firm
Hello Dino bhai, could you please help me choose between the Honda CB350RS and the st250? I am confused which to go for. My rides are mixed between highways and daily office commute. I am looking for a reliable vehicle with good fuel efficiency. I also want to start touring. What would you suggest?
Hey dino bhaiya hope you r doing great Just wanted to ask you if I want to buy a bike around 2 lakh thinking about ns200 because I like naked design and comfort so should I buy this bike or increase the budget a bit more and go for Gixxer 250 naked P.s pillion comfort is also a priority 😅
Great vid thanks Dino, been thinking of buying one new. My only problem is my weight I'm over 120KG's. I want to use it for a 10KM commute. Or should I rather look at the SV650?
as a south african ....thank you very much for the english review. ive got mine 2 months ago and the only issue ive got is the vibrations from 110kph and gear changing that's not smooth at the moment. and the windscreen .....
Request to upload videos in Hindi also since you give lot of information. Also you r top Automobile you tuber. Northern India and Northeast should also benefit from your knowledge. Good afternoon Dada
Great Review! One question: If a person is willing to buy this bike, but at the same time, considers the Duke 200 as an option, should he switch to the Duke or stick to this one? Thanks!
@@pratiknaikawadi592 I have bs6 model sf250, 3 years old and 25K done. Yes, I feel the bite of rear brake is very poor and the ABS comes into play very quickly.
I own a 2020 bs4 Gixxer sr 250 rode 31k+. Km its still now as fresh as its bought 8 had checked 3 time mileage test first try 37 in city and second 41 in city third 51 in city no chapri r15 and rs even duke 250 catch me because its has more raw Power its a gem 💎 in the segment
Brilliant machine marred by the visor. Aerodynamics and wind blast ruins the experience of the ride, even though you are seated on the bike and not in it. Still for tall riders, suzuki must do something about this.
The riding comfort is painfull, like riding a horse, you must squeeze your knees to the tank, keeps you fit and strong 😂, go to gym and do squats and burbeeps before you ride this bike😂, the fuel mileage is amazing, and can overtake, highway driving is good 130kmh no problem.
There are lots of issues with the temperature of the oil and vibration of this engine. While this has been solved to an extent on the vstorm 250, it is still evident on the sf and gixxers.
Apart from engine, gixxer offers nothing as compared to other rivals. At under 3 lakh price point, they are not even providing slipper clutch, quickshifter which is hilariously disappointing. There is a reason bajaj bikes sales are increasing every year, they are easy and cheap to maintain, parts too are affordable plus they offer very good performance and ride quality under budget.
i just bought it 3 months back.. pros - -super smooth n creamy engine even at high speed, -super fast n torque, -comfortable rider seat, -good front brakes, -cheap maintained, -big macho bike feel, -gripey tires cons - -ride connect inaccurate, looks unprofessional. not accurate like google map. -front windshield too short for bike of this size. -rear seat too small -rear brakes need more bite. -service center is common for Suzuki scooter n bikes.. -mirrors do get lose fast cos of that single bolt connection if u close them every time during parking time. -chrome plated exhaust looks cheap, should have been black or grey. - plastic fin on the tail rod below rear light is unnecessary.
How do you like people looking at your bike everytime you are on the road haha. I am happy that I bought this too and it does everything so well. The true feel of this bike is on Highways and long rides. 🫶
Please suggest Suzuki for better service too, this needs to be done more than visor and led indicators. I can live with them but I everytime my bike comes back from service I notice more buzz than before. In my opinion Suzuki's service is biggest drawback for the sales of 250. So if you guys want to buy this, please check out the service center quality as well. This bike lacks nothing except for the service offered. Hope Suzuki makes it better.
I think Suzuki has got left far behind already for 3-4 yrs now. Despite the competition, if Suzuki thinks these specs and features will attract buyers, good luck Suzuki. Biking enthusiasts in India these days expect versatility and all round features not just the engine or smooth clutch etc. this does not even have slipper clutch! This generation is looking for quickshifter so this one is for the museums 😅
...no usd forks, no perimeter or a trellis frame, no alloy swing arm, no slipper clutch, no traction control, no quick shifter , still the price is extremely high !! So !! a big NO to suzuki !!😠😠
Well,, quick shifter wasn't a thing before KTM RC390 and Yamaha R15v4 so I don't think its really a big deal but slipper clutch and upside down forks, those are some premium features that are to be expected from an expensive bike
I have this since 2020, wanted to know if anyone is having problems with the front suspension? The oil seal of the right fork broke at 6000 km & now the left one at 13000 km
Owner pf 1st gixxer sf250 in kolkata from May 2019 bs4 model. Suzuki should know by now that the bike don't sell because of the bikini windshield but they don't care.
Guys, I tried Yamaha FZ, Yamaha MT15, Hero Xtreme 160 4V, Apache 160, Honda Hornet 2.0, Triumph speed 400, Apache 200 - Look - Dont go by specs, value for money and so on..Just ride the bike, feel it, enjoy it, is it comfortable, do you like the engine refinement, is the power good for you. I dont care for these LEDs, color schemes, bluetooth etc, Need ABS, disc brakes and lovely engine - Suzuki is a beast, totally in love it. Once i tried the Gixxer SF 250 - Comfort, power and looks are just spot on for me. Did not even read the spec sheet or VFM calculations. Below 200 cc bikes are commuter bikes, period. No sporty etc. Hero engine felt strained and the power ramped up to max engine capacity, FZ i ll honestly buy splendor, MT15 no torque i dont like such small engines strained though refined, Apache was great but cant stand the posture, its neither sporty not straight, Hornet too stiff, Triumph too heavy for city riding for me. Royal enfield - too heavy clutch and not enjoyable, highways it will be enjoyable i guess, but compared to the smile the Gixxer (both 155 and 250) put on me, nothing comes close. But 250 is for me, since i like the effortless power.
In my humble opinion there are three things Suzuki must change in SF 250. 1. They should design more sporty exhaust. This one looks like commuterish. 2. More sporty and tall visor this one is so ugly. 3. RVM are huge like elephant's ears they should go for more sleek unit And lastly the slipper clutch.
I have 7 8 gixxers in group in every bikes have some problems some facing cone set issues hadle wobbles above 80 some gas kit getting leakage and some have headlight blinking issues...suzuki have to work on these issue.. otherwise engine is just makkhan..
The only reason I don't like this bike because it looks small. When I ride a 250cc bike I need it to feel big. I like 155cc sf because the size fits the bike as a 150cc bike.
