So I finally got my hands on my mates Tony's B king. This is one bike that blow my preconceptions out of the water. It just left me speechless. Watch the video and you will can see what i mean. :)
This is one of the best, if not the best roadster ever made. Replace stock mufflers to gain 10kg, switch to 190/55 rear tires to gain better handling and you will reach perfection! I know it because I own one! 😉
Greetings from Germany: I own a 2011 (the last and best) with all powerbronze carbon mods and engine tuning by famous German tuner LKM to 190 HP rear wheel plus open throttle mod for all gears. she does 299KM +. Changed to 190/50 rear tire for improving the handling (get rid of those 200 rear-tire, ahhbah). Nice gilles mirrors, footpegs, handlebars etc plus the Bodis Titanium exhaust and motomaster brake disks. She is like new with just 3000 Miles on it. I just drive with her a 400 Miles a year beside my now brand new 2018 Speed Triple R to spare her. Nevertheless, the b-king is the most beautiful naked ever build. a shame Suzuki banned her from program. this is a bike you will keep and never sell. there are only a view good of them remaining available. most of them did wear down or just were crashed. The B-King is a real big bike for man and people know to deal with such a 1340CC monster. But she handles like a dream with endless smooth power delivery.
Had my B king since 2008, wouldn't part with iy, I love everything about it. I sod my 1999 Hyabusa to get it and have never regretted it. This bike handles and goes like the clappers. This bike eats most challengers. It is disappointing they didn't sell in greater numbers and now when I take my mint condition one out I get nothing but comments from other bile riders about how mean it is and how good it looks. So many have never seen one and can't believe they came out in 2007, Funy that people now think this style is cool, yes most of the other manufacturers took a few years to catch up to this design and many nakeds resemble the B king type transformer look. What did I change, yep the mufflers went when I took it from the cart and fitted yoshis. If one comes your way for sale bloody well grab it, Macca Australia
I want one badly. The only issue is that I'm very tall, 6'5", with 36" inside leg, but I know about rear sets already and also I can see Tony Archer from Huddersfield raising the seat height for me, plenty of space for it, some firm base and comfy top layer to add some 2" to original height and she should be as comfy as it gets.I love the styling, I love the "mean" factor, I love torquey engines and proper weight. I want one. I really do.
Hi Stewart here, yeah i have a b king and a MT01 which are two bikes in the same class but so different in many ways, the mt 01 which is the first mt with v twin motor has very linear power and very raw with heavy gearbox but a torque monster, they both weigh about the same both look outrageous mine are both black. The bing king as said is very smooth and can be very ballistic if needed, to sum them bot up, the Yamaha MT01 is like your in a Lancaster bomber because of the stroke and pulse of the motor, and the Suzuki b king feels like your in a F18, not that have been in either but you get the idea, one thing when you mention the mt09 which is a great bike in its own right but not anywhere near these two i mentioned different league all together. I do agree these bike came before there time but if you can grab either they will be future classics, thanks for a great video and review, Stewart form oz
Pleased to hear you liked the video and reading your message i can only agree with what you say. I have riden many bikes but the king for some reason just speaks to me. This will be a bike i keep for a long while i can tell you that :) I'm over the moon as well that i'm reaching half way around the world haha
My dad has bought his second b-king last month lost his license that day. He still has his old one which we will rebuild when i get there it has been as a daily and had a few drops because of it. I don't think its an ugly bike it just takes time to grow on you. Did you know that the concept bike was turbo and super charged? I only know this because my dad told me and he knows because this is the first bike he bought new since he was 21. Both of his bikes have yoshi's but his new one has full adjustable ohlins forks and rear suspension. I haven't heard how much of a difference it makes well because he lost his liscence.
Pritty sure nothing bar ABS due to it being a 2011 if i recall, I bought a 2007 model (one of the first to be imported into UK when you look into the reg date.) and can say both bikes did ride the same. I have removed quiet a bit of weight from mine now though so are different now. In the next few month will be posting a channel relauch video and the going back over the B king will be one of the first things i do so keep watching ;)
There really isn't one, was before it's time and didn't really catch on. They seem to be having a rebirth now though with prices going up due to the new super naked bikes coming on the seen.
