On our farm many moons ago we had a soft top Samurai 1.3litre , low box was amazing for bringing the cows in for milking, low 1st was perfect cow walking pace.
The Geo Tracker is the equivalent of a Suzuki Vitara . The Samurai is the predecessor of the Jimny. In Europe the exact same car you have was still called Samurai. It was the last model of the Samurai.Obviously some of them were caught in the name change and got the Jimny name .
I live in Australia and own a little 2004 Zooky. 1.4L i4, dohc. I was going to get a Ford Ranger, Nissan Navara, something along those lines, but decided on the Jimny because it's so much damn fun. Just moves over anything and everything. Getting some all terrains for the little dude soon. Awesome video mate. Loved how you did the full walkaround while it kept moving 😂 bloody grand.
Find these JDM's fascinating, the mini-trucks, AWD micro vans, the SUV's, and neat cars. Having owned an 89 Sidekick, I'd love to have one of these Jimny's.
In Australia we call them Sierras and they were never optioned with a 660cc turbo just the 1l and 1.3 unfortunately but a very popular choice for off roaders here and huge modification options
The us samurai with the dinkie motor from I was told the off-road ability was amazing. Just like the late 90s I would say Suzuki vitara sidekick sport (geo tracker) with the 1.8L are no laughing matter when you engage the 4x4. We have used one to pull a box truck out of the side of the road with ease. I'm still tempeted to buy it.
I'm really really considering getting one of these, I've always wanted a Sammy but prices are ridiculous for other people's ratted out junk... However, I have never even sat inside a Sammy. How does interior space compare to other kei trucks? I've driven a Suzuki Carry before and it is pretty cramped. Is the Jimny any more spacious?
It was sold in Pakistan with the name of Suzuki Potohar during the 90s. It was 1 litter four wheel drive pretty basic off roader. Àfter off roading you need to visit your doctor for your spine displacement.
Goiji 2000 - I was going to get one from a guy out here in Southern California, until I found out it would be almost impossible to register here / would cost a ton of money!! But man they look fun 😏
For whatever reason my parents thought it was okay to give a 16 year old kid a lifted Suzuki samurai. I flipped it with four other kids in it pulling out a busy intersection.
i know this is old but for people stumbling upon this vid like me, your an ass. The 1.3, which is a 4 cyl, is more powerful and more reliable than this 3 cylinder turbo. Not to mention the 1.3 is also much easier to source parts in NA
